Ideal central location with clean cosy rooms and a nice breakfast. We will return!
As others have said it’s in a fantastic location, a short walk from everything - and I mean short. It’s in the old town and was built in 1850. Only five rooms big means everyone there gets personal attention of a most positive kind. We had a room with a teensy balcony on the first floor with comfy chairs we enjoyed for afternoon breaks and a read. Breakfast was enormous with fresh baking every day, fresh squeezed orange juice too - try the ‘sweet spoon’ on top of the yogurt- homemade from white grapes and delicious.
The only thing that would have made it a ‘ten’ for us was a little softer beds - for us they were a bit hard - but others would like them I’m sure.
Location was lovely. The two Sisters who run the place are lovely. Great restaurant suggestion
small, crowded room Bathtub was mouldy Office is messy
Nice hotel, a spacious, modern room with balcony and view. Great pool...there aren’t many in the area! Helpful and friendly staff
The Polyxenia Hotel is a comfortable and clean hotel that is centrally located in Nafplio convenient to many great bars, restaurants and cafes, as well as many of the tourist attractions of Nafplio. The check-in experience was very quick with no fuss, and the staff of the hotel are most pleasant, helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very comprehensive and very traditionally Greek and delicious!
Not one thing to complain about!
Polyxenia is an 1850, restored mansion set in one of the scenic alleys of Nafplio. It offers traditionally furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi just a few minutes’ walk from the central Syntagma Square. Homemade breakfast is served in the morning. Decorated with respect to the local style, the air-conditioned rooms at Polyxenia feature wrought-iron beds and wooden furnishings. They come with a flat-screen TV, DVD player, coffee machine and mini fridge. In the en-suite bathroom, you will find free toiletries. Arvanitia Beach is 100 metres away, and the centre of Nafplio is 400 metres away. At 200 metres, you can reach the Archaeological Museum of Nafplio, as well as the seaside promenade. A taxi rank and the main bus station are only 20 metres away. Within a short walk, you can also find traditional taverns and charming cafes.
