Historical and beautiful, clean rooms. Excellent food at restaurant and excellent breakfast.
Sound of underground every 5min in room... they explain us that in some room is more sound than in others.
Very beautiful classic bulding as a historical place. Good location. Easy access to metro station and Sheremetyevo airport. Good price.
1. Sanitary could be cleaner. 2. Not a clear pricing pattern; I paid for fixed amount for two nights, but in the 2nd night they automatically charged my card before primary notation claiming they had mistakenly quoted a wrong price upon registration! 3. The breakfast was not so much diversified.
The hotel is unique in design and clean to stay. The covered swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room are good compared to other hotels in Russia. Breakfast doesn't have so many variety or choices, still it is unique as well: champagne and smoked salmon every morning was a different morning breakfast experience. Receptionist and waiters were polite and helpful, with a good attitude.
So many restrictions related to photo shooting where we were asked to get a permission from the government (Moscow Toutist Office) just to make few photos for the little child. We tried, but the office was closed as it closes in Saturday, sunday, monday.. Such info should be mentioned prior to the hotel stay as it was frustrating. Many weddings and every day... although weddings are good... still they are bot good when they are just outside of your doorway.. they even closed the way to the gym so they make a small event in a small hall near to my room. In the last day, there was no hot water in the whole hotel, and the poor little child was obliged to have a cold russian shower before checking out.
Location very convenient. Very close to a football ground (Dynamo Moscow), but no matches on while I stayed. The history the building has is incredible and you should definitely read up on it before staying.
Breakfasts are very good.
