Pros: The greeting was friendly. The room was perfect for our stay. Breakfast was fresh, home made and delicious.
Cons: Nothing
Good 6,0
Pros: The house was really lovely, but upon arrival no heating had been put on its was 5° outside and the room was freezing, they said give it a quick blast but would have been nice this time of year to have a warm room, there was blood on the pillow case and blood on one of the towels. The tv had no channels and had to be retuned upon request, but the host were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was amazing.
Cons: Heating, no tv channels old fashioned wool blankets and sheets as opposed to a quilt
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic, home produced and plenteous, room spacious clean and lovely ambience with antique furniture, House is situated close to Killarney but by a little river, exquisite and peaceful.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staying at the Gleann Fia Country House was an exceptional experience. Bridget and Conor are great hosts, making us feel welcome and providing a great deal of local knowledge that aided us in our sightseeing. The property was purpose built about 1990 to feel like an older, estate country house with more, and larger public spaces and grounds than found at most lodging facilities. Bridget and Conor have owned the property about 20 years, slightly reducing the number of rooms to enlarge and modernize the bathrooms, which are exceptional. The entire house is beautiful, comfortable and spotless. There were multiple options for excellent cooked to order breakfast using all locally sourced food products.
Cons: Nothing. A great experience.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Very warm and professional welcome. Plenty information and good suggestions. Place is lovely, clean and very quite , even if it s minutes driving from town centre

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Bridget and Conner were exceptional hosts. They made us feel welcome, answered all of our questions, gave travel suggestions, and provided a home made breakfast every morning. The reading room with the books available to borrow was a great place to review at the end of the day. We would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Nothing it was perfect

Pros: Everything staff were very friendly
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location to walking and site seeing. Very spacious. Fine bedroom. Great breakfast.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The views are breathtaking & the hotel itself is beautifully decorated
Cons: Children in the relaxation area of the spa. Also we were celebrating a milestone birthday and there was no birthday note in the room.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything was excellent especiall pool and breakfast
Good 7,7
Pros: View at breakfast, location, beautiful gardens, the lake, the spa, the whole hotel is very classy and well decorated
Cons: Would've been nice to have a view of the lake for 240 euros, we were facing the tennis courts and didn't have a balcony, having to wait in line to order eggs, the hot food on the buffet didn't taste great, room and bathroom were small, front desk seemed short staffed for a Saturday
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Facilities were outstanding. Very relaxing with a lovely view. Got an extra hour added to checkout for no extra charge and we were allowed to leave bags at reception and use the pool facilities for as long as we wanted before leaving. Breakfast was also delicious
Cons: Beds were not made well. Something small but you expect the highest standard for the price.

Pros: Food was excellent, service was excellent. Very relaxing and the room was superb. Thank you
Good 7,0
Pros: The walks were just over the road and a highlight of my trip to see the seals , gorgeous area.
Cons: It was very wild Atlantic stormy weather when I arrived and so check in was a little disjointed, and some other tourists barged into my room because of a key kerfuffle, I actually think I may have been given the wrong room because it had more beds than I expected . So I was very lucky , and I think it was just the weather and the fact that it was low season tourist wise that it seemed a bit disjointed. Lovely areA

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Kathleen's country house is a grand house to stay in. Kathleen is super friendly and goes out of her way to help with directions and local information. This was a perfect location to start the Ring of Kerry and set off to see and experience the stunning sights. Fabulous Irish breakfast served with style. Being 3ks out of town was no issue, free parking and lots of places to choose for dinner. Loved the town atmosphere with live music in pubs.
Cons: No dislikes

Excellent 10,0
Pros: One of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in in Ireland. Been traveling to Ireland for 33 years and lived there for 23 years before, this lady knows what she's doing. Great rooms, probably the only king bed I've slept on in a B&B,great bathroom, T capital and a fan in case our room got too warm . Outstanding breakfast with additional choices of food available in the dining area . The refrigerator was stocked with some adult goodies available for purchase!
Cons: It's only minor, dragging our bags up two flights of stairs. That probably wouldn't work for more senior customers. This did not affect our enjoyment of the stay
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Host was absolutely great! Went above and beyond what we expected
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Breakfast - Cosy and relaxing Host - Friendly ;) Location - right next to Ring Of Kerry and 15 min drive away from Gap of Dunloe 24 hour-reception
Cons: Wi-fi connection was on the slow side but nothing major
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The hoster was very friendly and helpful showing where to visit, giving maps, giving us space and liberty to do as we pleased in the house. House spotless clean and organized! Excellent price! Highly recommend it!
Cons: Nothing to complain.

The scones are the best we have eaten.

Excellent 9,2
Pros: Location is great. Walk from hotel straight into parkland. Also nice, if small, swimming pool sauna etc. Bar is very pleasant place to eat as a solo traveller.
Cons: Killarney is just overpriced.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The location is fabulous, staff is great, facilities ( swimming, rental bikes, evening activities for kids, golf ) are superb, breakfast had good options and the bar /pub haf great food with live music.
Cons: Just that initially I found the room a bit stuffy and smaller than I expected . The staff tried changing my room but the hotel was fully booked. It could have been that I checked in late evening. But next morning realised what a fabulous view we had facing the golf course.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Everything was lovely
Cons: I waited a while for food service in bar on the assumption that i was waiting for someone to join me i was on my ownrelaxing
Good 6,0
Pros: The scenery is about the best asset of the hotel. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms basic but clean.
Cons: Extremely quiet in the bar area at night.Nothing to keep us there. Thank God for pubs with a bit of life in Killarney itself.
Good 7,0
Pros: I liked the fact that we could play golf right at the property.
Cons: We [2 couples] asked if they had a trolly to bring in our luggage. We planned to do it ourselves. They sent an older gentleman with a very unpleasant attitude. He was probably much too old to be handling and lifting luggage and he was not an asset for the hotel. He accused me of being 'impatient' when I merely told him that the red suitcase goes to the other room. Other than this unpleasant experience we enjoyed our stay.
Good 6,3
Pros: Hotel was lovely & entertainment was very good in the bar, views of the lake were outstanding. Lovely walkway into killarney.
Cons: Rooms very far away from the foyer. There was a baby crying in the room next door & woke us very early. ~Bed covers & curtains were very drab
Good 6,7
Pros: i think the food was excellent, also the sceenery,it is ideal for a quiet time away.the fact that you have access to the national park is perfect.nice bar ,good drink.
Cons: the bathroom in the room could do with grade.
Okay 5,7
Pros: the view, the staff at the swimming pool, the playground, the general friendliness of the staff.the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed in general.value for money.
Cons: horrified by the use of blankets on beds, which no matter how thoroughly cleaned will always contain "material" from numerous previous guests.dissapointed that there is no way to walk around +enjoy the grounds, without having to turn back, especially given the setting. Disliked the pungent odour of chlorine emanating from pool all along corridors to the bedrooms. Also the sandpit near the playground was full of dog excrement + could easily be covered,I had to rescue my 2 year old from making a "sand pie".. otherwise a pleasant stay.
Good 6,8
Pros: The view and the setting of the hotel the friendly staff. Good food.
Cons: $review.cons
Good 6,0
Pros: i liked the surroundings and setting on the golf course absolutely beautiful. room was clean but little old fashioned and could do with modernisation. rest of hotel very nice. staff lovely
Cons: as i said rooms could be modernised the dressing table was old and chipped
Good 6,4
Pros: very clean - the entire hotel. staff very friendly and helpfull, location ideal as it was a romantic night away
Cons: no
Excellent 8,0
Pros: What a family friendly place!!! And the view is unbelievable. One morning we woke up one morning to see the moon setting up above the hills over the lake. The moon looked like a pearl sitting on the hills. We were at the Castlerosse on Easter weekend. There were activities for the children, such as an egg hunt. If you have children, then be sure to bring their bathing suits and a bathing cap. The full Irish breakfast was tasty and the panoramic view of the lakes from the dining room was something I won't forget. I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends who are planning a trip to Ireland.

Good 7,0
Pros: Generally clean, comfortable bed, nice breakfast
Cons: Shower enclosure, window condition in bedroom
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Right across from part of the park. Lovely bright room.
Cons: Bathroom was a bit tight for two.
Good 7,0
Pros: Freda was friendly and helpful
Good 7,0
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff. Room was clean with huge comfortable bed. Outskirts of Killarney so if you like is perfect. Highly recommended.
Cons: A few small things. There are no hangers in the bathroom so wet towels hung on the bathroom door and wardrobe door. You have to wait a long time for hot water...
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Warm and quite place to wind down, also situated in a strategic place before starting the amazing journey throughout the R.o.K.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff was so welcoming and helpful, we were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked through the door. We stayed in a gorgeous & spacious room with a balcony located on the front of the property. The bed was soft and pillows comfy. The hotel is very quaint and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. I enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace downstairs in the evening to wind down from the busy day. I highly recommend the breakfast! Continental style choices plus a variety of Irish meals cooked to order. The location is wonderful, less than a 10 minute drive into town.
Cons: Couldn't connect to wifi in our room and had to go downstairs in the common areas to get a connection. But that gave me an excuse to sit in front of the fireplace, so I can't complain!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very nice. Tidy and clean. The owners are very friendly. Thank you!
Good 7,0
Cons: Tiny TV, thin walls but not any inconvenience.

Excellent 9,6
Pros: The porperty was stunning, the room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfy.
Cons: The breakfast could have a bit more variation, but nontheless it was very good.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: We really enjeoyed our stay in this cozy Hostel! It was especially nice to have a fully equipped kitchen. The room was nice and quiet and the staff very friendly.
Cons: We didn`t have a car and were depndent on the bus, which only goes four times a day from Killarney. But as soon as you are there it´s totally worth it!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Sitting room and game room were Fab. - high ceilings, fireplaces, sofas and armchairs - very relaxing.
Cons: I could have taken my own towels if I knew I would have to pay for them. Bedrooms are very small and basic - it's a hostel at the end but the building itself is magnificent.
Okay 5,8
Pros: The common rooms are big and the main house looks nice. Nevertheless, the furniture are a collection of different styles and does not really match. It is however cozy. The beds are okay. The location is quiet but may not be near to most of the tourist sites. The kitchen is big enough and got the basic utensils and wares you need to cook or prepare food.
Cons: The kitchen closes at certain meal times hence you may not be able to cook or prepare food the whole time. When we needed to go early for a trip, we had to make our breakfast in the evening as the kitchen opens a bit later in the morning. Our rooms were in a separate building behind the main house and we need to go outside of the building to access the other. The rest room and shower is not as clean as I expected. They only got WiFi in the common rooms.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Very big place, friendly staff and brill for families
