There was a few small things with the television and the maids who did not necessarily pay attention to the “Do Not Disturb Red. Button”. The staff was amazing and I was very impress with their ability to provide the service they possibly could. I worked for the Ritz Carlton Hotel and they we’re just as capable of provoking the same service. There was a few discrepancies with the billing but hopefully they will go over the payments and do the right thing?
We loved the stay here. the staff was amazing
Great position on the beach
Really clean and well located
The night was windy and something on the roof or the building was flapping waking us up at night. After mentioning it to the front desk, we were just told: we will send somebody looking at it. I would have expect a discount to compensate as the hotel is a high end hotel. Really disappointed.
Nice location
Room's view was gorgeous. Tiki bar and pool were hopping and service was attentive.
Beds were fulls and not queens so me, my wife and daughter were cramped. We were told facilities and services were 24 hours but pool area was a dark ghost town after 9 pm while neighboring hotels were jumping. $37 a day for parking was very high.
Everything
Nothing
My stay at the Palms Resort felt like being in paradise! All services and facilities were exceptional.
The check in [front desk] staff was not the friendliest. The staff person told me that my reservations were made by HotelBeds and that the room preference was not guaranteed when reservations were made through 3rd party sites. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that the person was on a short break. The manager never spoke to me, however I was given the double room per the reservation.
Our stay at The Palms
It was quiet & tranquil. Enjoyed watching the few wedding ceremonies. Hotel staff cordial & efficient. Breakfast by the pool was enjoyable. Size of hotel just right cozy & understated rooms were comfortable we had small size rooms when we arrived & when we requested larger rooms they accommodated us. Would recommended to our friends.
Cannot recall that there was anything we did not like about the service or the hotel.
WORST Customer Service I've ever experienced
Close to the beach and spa is nice. The rooms are cramped but nicely furnished.
I am an experienced business and leisure traveler. I've stayed at over 250 hotels all over the world and I have never experienced such poor customer service from the front lobby employees. They seemed to purposely not want to accommodate any request. I would never want to stay here again even though I liked other aspects of the hotel.
Beautiful grounds- very relaxing
I adored the pool and beach area.... Just spectacular! Very relaxing! The rooms were nice. However, the first room they put us in smelled of mildew. Then they said they didn't have any other rooms to move is to. When I started freaking out, they found us a new room that was much better. Everything else was amazing! Great spa! Overall I would stay again!
Nice place with excellent happy hour.
Front desk service was very poor, I was kept waiting at time of my check-out while the front desk manager( never acknowledging my presence) was talking to a couple at great length about the best restaurants in town and other possible points of interest, all the while the concierge sitting at her desk directly behind us had nothing to do, finally after about ten minutes another front desk manager came out to assist me. I also did not like the $19 " hotel fee" for pool towels I did not ask for or use! When I politely asked to have the charge removed I was gruffly told "No". All the above left a bad taste in my mouth as I departed on what otherwise was an overall positive experience.
The hotel was beautiful. The grounds lovely and the complimentary chair massage a plus.
I didn't like the 19 dollar daily fee tacked on to your bill.
Staff and room.
Nothing.
the massage was good
The additional costs added to every item - nickle and diming
Staff is wonderfull. Location is the best. Will stay there again.
Too much sun lights enter the room. The Bath room door is a faded Glass and lights up the room and is not great if you wish to sleep in late.Over all the hotel is to dream of. The Location is superior
We enjoyed the room, the pool, the Spa and the restaurant.
Small hotel, but with relaxing atmosphere and good services. Convenient location, although 15 min by car from South Beach and Lincoln Ave.
I liked some of the designs especially the bar and outside areas. The hotel staff really made this place and I think that's important, in particular the beach and concierge.
It would have been wonderful if there was a jacuzzi outside near the pool. I also would have liked it if the hotel were clear about what I actually owed in relation to costs as there was a mix up over me taking something from the mini bar when I did not. Also, when I came there was maintanence and building work being carried out, I normally stay in the Loews and was advised to stay in the Palms as an alternative because the Loews were having construction also. I was dissapointed by the noise which was practically next to my room, although I did speak with the front desk manager who offered a complimentary breakfast and room change as compensation.
The pool and beachside facilities were very good, The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help,Well worth the 18% service surcharge. The Bar and restaurant offerings were also very good. The oceanfront suite was excellent, albeit the bathroom was small.
Music in the lifts! Annoying and uncomfortable sound levels of 'Musak'. I had forgotten that hotels still employed this measure of customer torture!!
Staff was very nice and accommodating. pool and beach were wonderful.
I couldn't stay any longer than i had.
I liked the prompt and atention of concierges. They were terrific!
The beautiful grounds, attentive staff and appointed rooms are great - your every need is attended to from the pool to the resturant.
2 of the 4 elevators were broken causing some delay in getting to your room.
