Pros: very friendly management, location, swimming pool

Cons: AC didnt work. the owner offered to change to another room but we were too tired to do so after a long trip

Pros: they can provide private parking, hotel is nice in a quiet position

Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bed was extra large and very comfortable. There is free public parking available right beside the hotel, you don’t need to use the hotel’s secure parking.

Cons: Balcony was tiny and if you want to walk to the cafes and restaurants it is a somewhat convoluted route and not very direct.

Pros: The hospitality and everything you would expect from a perfect stay . It's run by a lovely couple who made us feel incredibly welcome ,I can't believe it's only two stars . Naturist village , beach and town all easily walkable

Pros: The pool facilities were excellent, and the staff were brilliant, they brought us complimentary cakes with the drinks we ordered! The bed and room was so comfortable and we had an incredibly relaxing stay

Cons: We went out of season which meant it was difficult to find a restaurant that was open in Agde or had anybody else in eating there, this wasn’t the fault of the property though!

Pros: Family operated and welcoming. Quiet location but the beaches and port are easily accessible on foot (15 mins). Excellent breakfast by the pool with lots of fresh products from the garden. Staff friendly and give great tips for local restaurants.

Pros: Staff were great and really helpful - location was good albeit a little out of the way. Everything was well presented and clean.

Cons: There was no restaurant - and the restaurant at the golf club was shut. When you pay nearly £150 a night you expect to be able to eat somewhere on-site. Considering the quality of the hotel, I wouldn’t expect to have a shower in the bath - and one that’s really difficult to use at that. Also, be careful with breakfast - we ordered to the room and then found out it was €20 per person - and this was without anything “hot”. Whilst it was good it wasn’t €40 for 2 people good!!!!!

Cons: Difficult to find through industrial estates down dirt tracks, it may of just been the way out sat-nav took us, a little dark in the whole place and don’t expect TV in room. we didn’t have one in ours and air-con not very efficient thought it very overpriced

Pros: This is a delightful place. The rooms are well laid out, our host was extremely helpful. The food is to be experienced. Others have mentioned the amazing breakfast, but you can also arrange dinner and if there is anything you particularly would like, they try to oblige but they ask for prior notice ( I would suggest 36 hours in advance) so that they can try to accommodate your wishes.

Pros: A lovely hotel on the Canal Du Midi and a short walk from the train station. The kind couple warmly greeted us after our full travel day, carried our luggage to our room and made recommendations for a local restaurant. It was so nice that the husband spoke some English which made things a bit easier for us. Our room faced the canal with one window facing the canal and the other window facing the bridge. The breakfast at the hotel was reasonably price and scrumptious. I would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Araur. After renting a houseboat on Canal Du Midi we look forward to returning to Hotel Araur for an additional two night stay.

Pros: After a week in a houseboat on the Canal du Midi we returned to Agde and were warmly greeted by Tina and her husband. We arrived at 9am in the morning but they kindly kept our luggage until our room was ready. They had it ready for us by noon so we could settle in and rest on their comfortable beds. Her husband and staff took our luggage up the stairs to our cozy room facing the canal. So thoughtful and kind. The breakfast included a variety of things including fresh breads, homemade jams and flavorful coffee. We would highly recommend this charming hotel and hope to return some day.

Pros: This is a very friendly, small family run hotel in great location. It is within easy walking distance of the railway station and on the banks of the river with nice views across the river to the old town. Thanks to our hosts for a very pleasant stay in Agde.

Cons: There were no tea/coffee facilities in room. The main pool was open to non residents of the hotel and weren’t very friendly, the small pool which was residents only was nice. There were no restaurant facilities at the hotel, only a very expensive beach bar/restaurant affiliated with the hotel. The hotel had no lift which was not practical with small children. Didn’t like the area.

Pros: It is situated close to main attractions still far enough to avoid the crowds. Hotel is newly renovated and clean. We enjoyed the hotel.

Cons: It is not something I dislike but thing to know. The family rooms are a bit small and do not have too much storage room. The rooms have no balcony and no place to dry the beach towels. We stayed only 5 days and therefore it was not disturbing. Would not recommend it for longer stays.

Pros: Staff is very friendly, location is great at a very short walk from the lively harbour and restaurants and beaches. The hotel has a roof terrace where you can sit during the day.

Cons: The interior, carpet and rooms are a bit outdated. The room has no fridge or minibar and it is not allowed to bring food to or eat in your room. The bed is quite soft. Currently they are building a huge new hotel complex right across the hotel so the view from the room and roof terrace is not great. So its fine if you just stay there to be outside mostly but not a great place to spend a lot of time in your room.

Pros: The food. Amazing!! Grest restaurants. So nice to us given that we were from NZ and didn't speak too much French. Staff at the hotel were amazing. Great language skills and so pleasant and lovely to deal with. Great family hotel. Tasty breakfast!! Thanks!!

Cons: . Just note that the pool closes at end of September. Literally the 30th of October. So make sure you book well. Also most of the eating places are closed at the end of the season. But we found a great one. Supermarket was closed too at end of season which was s Little difficult.

Great value and location of you want a quick stop over and an easy trip to the airport e.g if you have young children.

Pros: A small - rather quirky hotel (in a good way). Lovely pool. In a nice residential area, but near the beaches and the old town. (You might have trouble finding as is down a rather 'track like' route of a main road).

Cons: I suppose it was the most expensive hotel we stayed at so value was not as good as we had enjoyed - but its location probably attracts the premium rate.
