Location and the price is nothing to complain about
WiFi gets very weak in the room
This hostel is located in a very swanky hotel. I love the massive main door. The hostel is really cute and clean and is located to the 1st floor left corner. Walk through the mini hall then make a right through the courtyard and a right after the bar to get to the front desk. You'll be pleased with its asthetics. I promise. The courtyard/bar is open air and the food cost is VERY reasonable. You can order dood in the movie room's kitchen. There is a menu next to the cage. Hostel guest are welcome to all the amenities like rooftop bar/ pool. There are shops located within the hotel and the restaurant Azul is SOOOO good!!!!
There were no full length mirrors and the face one in the bathroom is a convex mirror. I didn't like that the kitchen area is so dark. I didn't even know that it was open to hostel guest untill I asked. I think the housekeeping cleaned my room once during my 5 day stay. I understand that the hotel is swanky/highend; however, I thought it was very inappropriate when I was asked several time if I was a guest bc I wasn't dressed to the nines. (Note to hotel:Most backpackers don't pack nice clothes ot takes up space and we don't need it). Note to my backpacking friends: Don't let these comments affect your decision on staying here. These are just my opinions! It is a nice place and I would return.
Just check in is at 3 pm late for me
Check in is late
could use wifi in my room which was hardly the case in hostels so far! nice firm bed and the room was nice and big (8 beds room). some commented staff were rude to hostel users but the ones I met were all friendly and helpful.
tax which I thought was inclusive was not included in the stated price. satisfactory facility. some of the showers not draining well and flooded easily.
This place is located about two blocks from Socalo plaza. Rooms and shower area were both clean. If I ever travel here again I will probably stay here again.
I would’ve preferred a bottom bunk but next time I’ll ask.
