Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything was wonderful ! Lot of comfort in the room, great swimming pool, beautiful place and absolutely delicious food at the restaurant. We had a wonderful stay at Merida Santiago boutique hotel, we enjoyed everything in the least detail, the room is so comfy, we slept like babies, the bathroom is so big, the decoration is of very good taste. We can but recommend it. Our daughter just did not want to leave, and so didn't we 😁 The staff is truly a pearl, so kind and thoughtul. Again, huge thanks to all of them 🙏
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Great location, a block from Santiago square and about 6 blocks from the main city center. Very clean, my room was big and comfy and well appointed. It’s very safe. The food and drinks at this hotel were WONDERFUL. The entire staff and owners are friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the city. They’ll connect you with a fabulous driver (Ruben) if you need a ride anywhere. There’s a hammock in the room and I used it every day. I went to some local places recommended by the owners (Dzalbay Cantina and Alcon). They offer cooking classes and you walk over to the Santiago market and get the food while learning a ton. Highly recommend if you have even slight interest in food/cooking. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Rita at check-in/concierge was terrific. Great information and very helpful. Hotel is exceptionally clean. Pool was lovely (cool) in the evening. The breakfast was great, offering several different options. Interior courtyard of the hotel is serene and quiet.
Cons: It's a little removed from downtown in a quiet neighborhood, so walking (appx 15 minutes) or a cab is necessary to get to the downtown area. There is no dedicated parking, which is a little bit of a challenge, but we parked on the street without any problems.
Okay 5,0
Cons: They said they have hot tub but nothing any hot tub.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: A beautiful gem tucked away on an off street in the older section of Merida. Excellent service, professional COVID-19 protocols in place, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Exquisite!
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The provided a locked area to store our personal bikes. Very friendly. Was a nice quiet stay.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The service and staff at this hotel is outrageously good. The food is excellent. No complaints.
Cons: Nothing to report.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Outstanding food at very reasonable prices - this small hotel runs cooking schools that are frequented by tourists staying at other hotels; family run boutique hotel owned and operated by Jan and Rita for the last 15 years. Extremely well managed.
Cons: Location wasn't quite as close to downtown as we expected - but a manageable 10-15 minute walk to center of town. Not cheap, but reasonable considering the over-delivery by the owner/managers
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Highlight was the owners and the staff. Absolutely wonderful. So helpful and professional. The chef is great too. Amazing breakfast. And the hotel is lovely, an oasis of peace and quiet. Would 100% recommend

Good 6,0
Cons: Bed is uncomfortable and quite old. Should change that one.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: It ticked all of our boxes; quaint, boutique type, personal, friendly and very helpful staff
Cons: Initial thought on arrival that would not live up to it’s description. This did not prove to be correct
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We loved the location of this hotel! It's right downtown, close to many restaurants, stores and squares. The building architecture is also absolutely beautiful on the inside and the staff are super friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Merida.
Cons: The only downside to our room was that you had to walk up the stairs to use the bathroom or shower. The rooms have a split level, so there is a small loft above the bedroom for the toliet and shower.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: A very high end hotel, nearby city center for a very competitive price
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Small, cozy and charming boutique hotel, 5 min walking from the center. The rooms are big, one floor with the bedroom and one floor with the bathroom (that is huge and fully equipped!). Breakfast is amazing and handmade: you can choose what you prefer from the list and they prepare it right away. The staff is super nice, they helped us organizing our trip answering all the questions! It’s super clean and fully equipped for the covid situation: they really pay attention at all the details. Definitely the perfect choice!
Cons: Nothing, everything is perfect!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Nice hotel, great breakfast

Pros: room is very big and very comfortable. breakfast is good
Cons: no hot water in the shower while we staying for 3 nights

Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Breakfast was amazing. The location to the city is fantastic! The pool was refreshing.
Cons: The hot water system for showers. Very very minor issue. I shouldn't even mention it, but i noticed it and I had to be honest. The water will just go super hot or super cold without adjusting anything.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Big room and all the facilities were very comfortable. I recommend!
Cons: The pool was little and difficult to swim
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Unfortunately we stayed only one night under COVID restrictions , good services given the circumstances we missed the breakfast but we understand the situation definitely we would come back !
Cons: In on of the rooms the hot water didn’t work properly
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything!
Cons: 0
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff was very nice. The building is beautiful and cozy. Excellent location. We had a great stay and have nothing to complain.
Cons: All great!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: My wife and I stayed here for a little over two weeks during the (currently ongoing) coronavirus pandemic. The owners and staff were generous, accommodating, friendly, attentive, and all-around outstanding. We fast became friends with Nelson, the owner/manager. To be honest, it's hard to leave; we are moving to a nearby casita solely so we can better comply with public health recommendations to limit contact with other people. We loved the breakfasts, which included a fruit plate and a choice of either bread-and-spreads or oatmeal with all the fixings. During normal circumstances, other breakfast items can be selected from the vegan restaurant's menu, for an additional charge; however, due to the pandemic, the hotel has been forced to limit restaurant hours, so the other breakfast options are not available (as of April 2, 2020). In light of the pandemic, the vegan restaurant (Lo Que Hay Cafe) has currently shifted to serving to-go and delivery orders only. You can find out more about their current situation on their Facebook page (m.facebook.com/LoQueHayCafe) or Instagram (@loquehaycafe). The food is delicious, the kitchen staff are rigorous about cleaning and disinfecting -- I recommend it without hesitation, and will definitely be placing to-go orders. The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable, and have a peaceful vibe. The wifi is fast and widely available. We swam in the pool several times each day, and loved it. I look forward to returning to Mérida in better times, and will definitely stay at Hotel Medio Mundo again.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Breakfast was great! Location terrific. Free parking.
Good 7,0
Pros: The place has a wonderful pool.
Cons: One of the restaurant staff was rude and chided me when I asked for glasses after they sent ice to my room. He said I should have brought my own glass if I'm not buying a drink from the restaurant. I have never been treated like this but any hotel staff. It was shocking.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Location, cleanliness, style. I love this hotel is my regular lodging option when I’m in Merida.
Cons: Bed too soft
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The location, the overall hotel and the staff
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Everything, we will stay again.... this was our second time at the hotel.
Poor 1,0
Cons: They have very rude nightshift male receptionist , he was also very incompetent and refused to help us extend stay for 1 more day
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Location is very good, the room is big and spacious. Clean, good wi fi connection. Nice and cozy swimming pool.
Cons: The price which was in Booking, was different than reception. When I asked, the lady explained that those are some taxes or I didn't exactly understand what. This is not correct and should be fixed, so that the booking is on real price, not tax tricks. The only problem regarding the room is that the windows in the room cannot open. The air needs to be refreshed naturally, not by air con.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Everything was very cozy, very comfortable, and great pool. Staff were very friendly and inviting.
Cons: It didn't have a refrigerator.
Good 6,0
Pros: Facilities are nice and clean. Good location.
Cons: I did not like the staff service, specially the masculine staff. It seems like they do not have proper training in hospitality and they were improvising. I so much dislike the welcome we had. It seems like there are another facilities or another hotel right next to it so by mistake I got to the other hotel and the guy who was at the front desk was VERY rude at pointing this out. He basically nagged at me!! I did not feel welcome or comfortable at all. It was such a bad experience that I stayed in Merida for another two nights and we decided not to extend our stay. We moved to another hotel around the corner (Art 64) where luckily we got a better room for the same price and excellent service.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Staff is lovely, location was really good with lively restaurants and bars around. Very good value for money
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful pool, quiet, laid back, nice staff, good location, private parking
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The pool and the garden are gorgeous!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Hotel has stylish&beautiful pool area. Rooms are cozy with lovely design and clean. Location is ver convenient and it has private parking.
Cons: We only did not like the view from our room which was in ground floor. You see some walls (another probably from staircase) or maintenance cottage.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: My stay was for a week, and I was upgraded to a suite on the VIP side for reasons unknown to me. No complaints. Spacious, and comfortable room with an amazing shower and great A/C (very important in Mérida in July). The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and also very patient with my rudimentary Spanish skills. Breakfast each morning was a delight down by the pool. The colonial style of the place is unlike anything back in The States. The location is ideal for being in El Centro. Really good food everywhere and plenty of ways for people who like touristy stuff to spend money for whatever reasons people have for doing such things.
Cons: This isn’t something I necessarily disliked but it is worth being aware of. Be advised that if not on the ground floor you will need to climb stairs.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: It’s close to restaurants and center also it was very quite You can wake up with bird’s singing Employees were very kind and helpful Also the room is very well decorated with a comfortable bed
Cons: Nothing

Mediocre 3,0

Good 6,7
Pros: After 11:00 Quiet hours were observed. Good location. Lots of shade trees. Good kitchen for cooking food. Lots of showers & toilets. Hot water in showers.

Cons: Breakfast was good but small portions
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Small but adequate pool we enjoyed playing in the pool wrongs were quiet and comfortable it’s a very well decorated and interesting artistic motif. The hotel is only two blocks to the Central Square enclosed to many restaurants. The hotel is also close to many stores
Cons: Occasionally there was not sufficient water pressure in the shower to rinse off.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: This hotel was located within walking distance to Gran Plaza and Paseo de Montejo. Staff was friendly but a little basic Spanish skills maybe needed at times. A/C was great! The front desk can book day trips to Mayan ruins or Cenotes or other points of interest into interior of the Yucatan.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: It was very central and the people were very nice. The breakfast was excellent and you had good options to choose.
Cons: Only the parking lot might be too small when the hotel is fully booked.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The room was really beautiful and comfortable. Reception very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The breakfast service is a problem. Not enough space, we lost a lot of time waiting, which wasn't great for our daily activity plan. They should set up a few tables in the garden to solve the problem or accept reservations.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful room, great location, nice staff.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything. Location, pool, room, beds, decor, really quiet Aircon, best we had in Mexico, good breakfast.free parking
Cons: The hotel is really clean and comfortable with spacious rooms. We had the family room which is big enough for a family of 4. Massive ahower. Pool is really nice addition, good size and has plenty of seating and beds. Breakfast was good. It is cooked to order in adjacent restaurant, not a buffet. Hotel is next to a really nice St. Lucia square which has 5 restaurants. Everything is on your doorstep. I walked around town for 2 hours and realized the best shops and restaurants were next to my hotel. Really good coffee next door in a little coffee shop. The street vendors are a bit intense on the main square which is not as nice as this area. It is only 5 min walk. Paseo De Montejo is 10 min walk. Nice at sunset to check the architecture,
Good 6,0
Pros: The pool
Cons: Very bad breakfast
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything! Parking next door, awesome staff, clean, beautiful grounds, bikes, elevator, restaurante, comfortable bed, GREAT location for city center. Easy check in… did I forget something??😎
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great hotel in center of Merida with old colonial style architecture and great service by the staff.
Good 7,7
Pros: Kind did attentive staff
Cons: Update facilities
Good 7,4
Pros: Staff was helpful. Close to the middle of town. Bus stop right outside the door. Very quiet rooms. Beds were comfortable. Surprisingly quiet given the noise outside. No venders allowed in the hotel. Pool area very beautiful and relaxing. Shower nice. Restaurant very good. Breakfast was surprisingly nice. It wasn't like Marriott or Hilton's bar breakfast. It was free breakfast off the regular menu. Mexicans love to feed their guests. Rooms weres huge and very charming.
Cons: The bathroom ceiling was full of mold. Walking into the warm room was gross. A double room meant two double beds. Way too small. Asked to change rooms and was given a king size and double. Two queens easily could fit in this enormous room. Bedding old. 4 people staying in the room, two small waters given each day. Not enough potable water. Wifi temperamental but sufficient. Pool too cold to swim in.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very nice, large, comfortable rooms, centrally located to the historic center of town. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Cons: Unfortunately, I stayed during renovation to the outside pool, which was not usable.

Excellent 8,0
Cons: Room A/C broken, so we were moved to another room (closer to traffic noises). Lots of biting insects (mosquitoes?) by pools/ eating area, but only knee-high, so we were unaware until later. Glad we only stayed one night.
Okay 5,0
Pros: Security staff and front desk friendly and extremely helpful. Good covid preventative measures in place 2 minutes to airport
Cons: The bar and restaurant staff are not trained for the job. Simple rum and coke required instructions from me that a glass was required Food was horrible, sometimes precooked and dried out. Sat for 40 minutes waiting for wait staff. Only 2 other tables in the whole place occupied. Wait staff not even visible for first 20 minutes i was there. After nodding in acknowledgement at me, she disappeared for another 20 minutes. In total an hour and a half for dinner and 2 drinks to arrive
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pools were clean and very nice. Restaurant drinks and food were great. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: There were no washcloths in my room, had to wash face with bath towel. Toilet didn't flush well.
Good 7,0
Pros: Pool is nice Breakfast is correct Guy at entrance is very correct and speaks fluent English
Cons: WiFi is problematic and very inconsistent Waze brought us firstly to other strange location, better to give address and not hotel name
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The people ware great
Cons: Everything was great hoped that we could use the pool a little bit longer like at 11pm
Okay 5,0
Cons: It looks dark and creepy not enough lighting
Excellent 10,0
Pros: It was close to the airport. The rooms were comfortable and loved the pool.
Cons: I would skip the hotel's restaurant and eat somewhere else!
Good 7,0
Pros: Close to the airport, lovely grounds. Professional staff
Cons: Wi-fi did not work. The fan in the AC unit was too strong, even on low, meaning there was too much wind over the bed.

Pros: We had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. My mother has limited mobility and because they were servicing the elevator at the time we arrived. Staff offered a wheelchair and to carry her up to the first floor. Offered places to eat and visit. Would definitely come back to stay.
Cons: The only problem we had was the a/c unit was a little loud but other than that everything was perfect!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Convenient location in Santiago area, easy for uber transport, will use again in Dec. 2021.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Good location, friendly staff
Good 7,9
Pros: Nice terrace on the rooftop with view over the city. Good location (walking distance to city-center near airport). Rooms not too big but ok. Big parking space.
Good 7,5
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very nice and it has a roof-top area from where you have have a glimpse of the city.
Cons: It looks better than it is, take it in mind. The rooms are old and the airco is very noisy (and also old). Value for the money is good though.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: I really like how call and relax is this place . The receptionist and the people who help there have a great customer service and the location is good to walk everywhere downtown
Cons: Probably the fact that the internet is not working in all the area and the fact the food at the restaurant is not good
Good 7,0
Pros: Good location, in need of some renovation Got it for 30$US so good price and has parking 6 blocks from cathedral and center
Okay 5,0
Pros: Good location, but we smelt trash on the WC. We had to change a room cause was annoying. Pool was nice and warm. For not ambitous tourists is hotel OK.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very clean rooms and areas, pretty close to everything. Staff is awesome!
Cons: Air conditioner didn’t work and the room was so hot all night long.
Good 7,0
Pros: Staff is friendly
Cons: Elevator was not working.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: The staff was very nice. The food in the restaurant is tasty.
Cons: The wifi is very spotty. We had to go to a cafe down the block to get things done.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Had nice views on the upper floors. Bathroom was roomy. AC worked well. Staff was helpful. Hallways w/floor-to-ceiling glass walls and views of the city. Parking was next door.
Cons: The bedroom area had a strange dated aesthetic, and was a bit musty when we arrived at night. Antiquated built-ins. (Room was more cheerful by day). Outlets were not grounded. The curtains by the window wall were an effort to open. When in the bathroom with the door closed, the screen window was peculiar--it opened into the hallway, not to the outside air. As a result, steam, sounds and odors traveled directly into the hallway.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Price , staff
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great location! Easy to walk to the zocalo and rooms were clean! Staff was great!
Cons: The restaurant is in the back of the hotel but you have to pay at the front of the hotel in the lobby
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Cleanliness, the protection and carfullness they have for the pandemic we all living in. Checking tempreture in and out, hand sanitizer at the Door. The constabt cleaning. Very nice
Cons: The Internet is very poor in rooms. I had to be literally by the Door to get a little.

Pros: Location and price

Pros: Beautifull hotel, very confortable and good big swimmingpool with nice lounge chairs. Good breakfast. Very nice staff serving breakfast.
Cons: No remarks

Okay 5,0
Pros: The location is good. About 10 min walk and you are on a main square. They also have a parking space.
Cons: 1) Instead of pool/garden view they placed us in the room with a window looking to a corridor. People were passing by all the time, using elevators, stairs. Cleaning ladies were dragging bins and trolleys since 7 am. The sounds were so loud we couldn't sleep. There was no daylight in the room, and we needed to use artificial lights to wake up. Felt like we were living in a basement. After contacting Booking for a confirmation what View we should have(I thought might have been our mistake during booking), they have confirmed that the view should be on a garden or pool. The agent was nice, and offered to contact a property for us. Their excuse was that there are no similar rooms left with a view we booked, and that was a reason to place us in this one. Booking agent tried to find compromise with them in order to move us to similar room at least for last night. They refused it and offered us to pay upgrade fee, if we want to change the room. Conclusion: always check if the room given is the same you have booked. 2) leaving a hotel for a tour, we left the note on the door, not to disturb. We also left all our belongings randomly all around the room, thinking nobody will come in. When we were back the note was removed and room cleaned. Of course it is nice to have it cleaned, but doesn't give me a secure and trustworthy feeling. 3) the hotel itself is much older in real life, than on the pictures. Dishes in kitchen and toilet had cracks on it. 4) the bedding were partially yellow, and fruits were with flies.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff was very friendly and if you had any questions they didn't hesitaste to answers at your needs.
Cons: N/A
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Kind staff, good value.
Cons: Parkin is not on security watch
Good 7,0
Pros: Location and only 3 mins walk to the downtown plus the free parking.
Cons: The building is old and need major renovation. Room is big but the bathroom is really small!!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Good place to stay, close to the center. Parking spots.
Cons: The hotel is pretty old.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location, food
Cons: Not enough channels on the TV you need Netflix .
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Service was excellent! Breakfast was American. Great pool open until 10 p.m. Big car parking right by the hotel.
Good 7,9
Pros: The location, near the city centre
Cons: The noice near the pool
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Facilities are clean, well maintained and comfortable. Room was clean and comfortable though because of AC and closed space, was a bit stuffy.
Cons: Staff wasn't too accommodating. We wanted to check out a couple of hours later because of our flight and even though there weren't any ppl waiting for the room ( we had to wait in lobby) they were not willing to accommodate.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: Great staff! The open-air bar was a joy!
Cons: The bit about a fitness center is a lie. THERE IS NO FITNESS CENTER AT HOTEL MARIA DEL CARMEN. I was shown the sixth-floor room where the fitness center once was. That room is now completely filled with old beds and mattresses...plus two ratty, broken exercise machines.

Good 7,0
Pros: Staff is kind and friendly
Cons: The last day I stayed in there we ran out of water, I had an appointment at 9 am, I had to take water bottles to take a "shower" apart from that the hotel was very good
Okay 5,0
Pros: The ubicación and the friendly and helpful staff
Cons: All the Rest. First of all the Hotel is far from being a four Star hotels. I travel a lot and would give it two stars only. The price consequently was out of Range. The Hotel has a Good athmosphere and arquitectura but lacks basic maintenance and Investment in all areas. The warm water of the shower (we has two rooms, so it was no coincidente) was sparce to non-existing. We had to move two times (the First, the „Suite“ was dark and the bathroom was not well maintained and in the Second the toilet was Leasing) until ist was more or less okay, but Not Four Stars and Not for this Price). And the Pool was okay as a Garden Pool but nothing for bathing. Cleanliness Overall also does Not Receive high Marks either. Overall something Booking.com has to look at. To sell Four Stars which it is definitely Not leaves you with Doubts for the next booking.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: We had two bedroom suite with shared kitchen. When we saw them we were suprised how big they are. Rooms are clean well equipped. Hotel itself is very well located around 10 min walk from city center. There is no breakfast served but it is not an issue. There's plenty of restaurants and bars around.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Great staff and good location.
Mediocre 3,8
Pros: privacy
Cons: Not being subject to BED BUGS, FLEAS! Really A dump >>DO NOT BE DECIEVED by the photos ! The staff ( seems to be all teenagers ) are much more interested in being on line than doing more than absolutely necessary ! NO : ICE - WATER- DRINKING Glass - Stationary - ZIP , NADA ….basically you are camping out ! ….Crummy encrusted Plumbing , ( sometimes NO WATER) faucets very difficult to turn ! ( they even had neglected my $20 transport from Airport ..a BAD START ..stressful! The Coup de gras : Sitting in new lodgings COVERED in WELTS and BLISTERS ..and swollen FACE ...from two NIGHTS of agony due to UNKNOW ( BED BUGS/ FLEAS!?) AND >>GET THIS !!!....THEY were NASTY to me ( I HAD BEEN THERE A MONTH!!!!) at check out when I asked the last two nights be "COMPED" ...the "chica" at the desk copped ATITUDE and said the GM would only allow "discount" for the two HELLISH nights..( .I was so HOT AND MISERABLE I JUST DID NOT HAVE IT IN ME TO FURTHER PURSUE! ..Even my threats of writing this review DID NOTHING to AMELIORIATE the situation! STAY AWAY!!
Mediocre 3,3
Pros: Price is good, but I expected much more. The official pictures are very, very nice - good photographer, but the pics have nothing to do with what we‘ve got. WiFi worked more or less in the patio. Safe. Oxxo nearby, for everything else you need to go to the center of Merida by taxi (app. 50 pesos; wouldn’t recommend walking).
Cons: Rooms are supposed to have a balcony, but both rooms we got didn’t even have a window. The rooms smelled wet/ moldy. Ok, the swimming pool is cleaned every day, but I would never jump in, water seemed not ok. Besides that it’s much to small to swim in it. There’s no service at all, no bottle of water on the room(drinks or coffee can not be bought at the hotel), no fridge. Receptionist has nothing to do whole day long, but never thought about removing the trash (empty bottles etc.) from the public area in the patio.

Pros: Garden
Cons: Unkind , horible staff, cold water. Water is dripping from the tap.. The beds were terribly uncomfortable
Poor 1,0
Pros: The hanging chair in the room is a nice touch.
Cons: The owner increased the price on my second day, when I wanted to extend my stay. He said that was the on-site price. When I wanted to extend through Booking.com, he shamed me for being cheap and asked me to leave. The disdain in his voice for foreigners (he thought I was American) was topped with his expression of "how you foreigners always do this; we always have this issue with you people coming through Booking.com." He lectured me about how he was a successful businessman and that the on-site price was a good deal. If he is not happy with "us people" coming from Booking.com and with the price he listed on Booking.com, then why is he not listing the real price or cancelling his affiliation with Booking.com?! It is dishonest to list a low price on the website to attract people and then increase the price. Any sane person would obviously react to that. No matter how much the difference is, it is the principal that matters. I thought "a successful businessman" would know that it is the principal that counts, not the amount itself. Very rude, self-righteous, and overly smug attitude for a really sub-mediocre motel in an under-developed town.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: This exactly what I wanted. It had: a very comfortable memory foam bed, Working a/c unit and ceiling fan, quiet neighborhood, secure location that was locked in the evening, in close proximity to the bus terminal, in close proximity to an LDS church and Temple, it was extremely affordable,... This is a no frills hotel with no view and cool water in the shower. I didn't come to Mérida to spend time in my hotel room. I just wanted a safe / quiet place to sleep at night. I am definitely coming back to this establishment! I am already looking to book my next flight in December, and hopefully stay 2-3 weeks🙂
Cons: I only had a week to enjoy this hotel and wonderful city.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Great value for money, nice room and ensuite. Our bed was made for us and towels cleaned which we did not expect so was a lovely surprise!
Cons: No hot water
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Good price and location
