Lovely location great staff ; very spacious apartment
Breakfast could have started earlier given early morning tours
Everything was absolutely stunning!
Beach transportation was a bit lacking.
The rooms are huge and the grounds are great to see animals.
Kitchen could have been better equipped. Staff was nice but not above and beyond.
Breakfast was first-class, fresh, delicious and interesting! Local fruit, buffet items, eggs and grilled items to order and pancakes in the shapes of animals, birds, fish. The chef and all the staff were amazing! Local was great - monkeys and birds visible nearby all day.
The restaurant and restaurant staff were amazing! Food was great. Lots of options. Very accommodating and we loved this the best of our whole hotel experience.
The non private feeling of having elevators that open up to the inside of your room was very unsettling to me. The staff also had their own door into the room that we couldn’t lock. No way to use a “do not disturb option. Severytimes we pressed the button for an elevator and it opened to the inside of our room and there were random strangers there as the doors opened. At one time they lost power and we didn’t have a stair option to use alternatively to get to our room. We booked and were charged extra for a “panoramic ocean view” we either didn’t get the right room which had more views of the back of neighboring restaurants and loud construction going on out side of the window. The kids rooms were right in eye sight of local businesses and street level people dispute being on a higher level floor. We were told on arrival that the pool had “free drinks both alcoholic and non between the hours of 11-12noon.” After ordering drinks for several days we were notified that not ALL drinks were covered under the free umbrella. Only “the chosen drink of the day...” We also arranged airport transportation and we had a problem with our flight and even tried to cancel the room, which the informed us was non cancellation and non refundable...they knew we weren’t going to be there and sent the transportation anyway and charged us for it even though we were quite late getting in and missed the arranged transportation. The pool area did t have enough lounge chairs and the heated the hot tub all day and turned off in the evening at 6 (so just when you’d like to get in) though the pool area was opened 24/7. The evenings when the pool was open it was VERY poorly lit and didn’t feel safe at all in the dark. They were terrible at getting rooms cleaned in a acceptable time frame. We were out for hours at breakfast and the pool and would still catch the cleaning staff in the room. We constantly had 1/2 cleaned rooms, beds not made and missing towels.
