Tasik Ria was a great place to do some diving and unwind. The diving and the dive center were top notch. They really take care of their divers. That's the main reason to stay here. I loved my large room with a living room/entryway. The room had a mini-fridge and safe. The pool was large and had a swim-up bar. Wild! Yes, they need to update their bathrooms. Food was pretty good and the chef made Asian and western cuisine. They made homemade pastries and desserts. The staff was helpful and friendly. They really went out of the way. I did a half-day at the spa and it was fabulous.
WiFi was only strong in the lobby and dining room. The resort was a bit far from town and the airport due to Manado's terrible traffic. The resort is casual and not fancy. Some would call it rundown. It's not. The rooms are fine. They might want to add some lighting around the rooms in the pathways. I almost stomped a frog. You should not snorkel off the jetty and beach. Take the daily scuba boat instead. The beach is scrubby. It's pretty hard to get to Manado and the Tasik Ria but worth it.
Tasik Ria is a real gem! We felt so lucky to have come to this beautiful resort near Manado! It offers all the luxuries of a great (dive) resort plus you really get to experience local Indonesian life just a short walk from the resort. Dan and his staff made our stay unforgettable! From the spa to the diving to the great homemade pastries for breakfast, we felt truly pampered. And we will definitely come back! Thank you Tasik Ria team for giving us a great holiday!!
EPIC stay, they staff and dive team were EXCEPTIONAL! The organisation of every dive trip was perfect, the equipment was perfect and the chef on board the Bunaken day trips made some of the best food we have ever had! Cannot rate the diving experience with all of the Tasik Ria team highly enough!
The temperature of the pool! It was so hot!
We were pleased to find this beautiful resort after a few nights in Manado, a town that’s interesting to visit rather than stay in. A day visit is easy from Tasik Ria. The rooms and gardens are attractive and comfortable, the pool is excellent. We extended our stay mainly because it is a convivial place with friendly attentive staff, in particular the welcoming and highly professional manager Dan Green. We were originally influenced towards Tasik Ria by reviews highlighting the spa, staff and senior management; we weren’t disappointed. It became clear during our stay why so many of the guests are regular returners. I hope we can return at some time in the future.
In May the resort was quiet which meant the menu was quite limited, although as a 61/62 year old couple we really had no problems with it.
Staff are exceptional. Dan is so helpful and Dianne makes you so welcomr. But there is also Ferry Nency the tiny one to mention but a few. All staff great. Room conforatble and a lovely big pool. Steve enjoyed all of the diving.
Coming Home. There was nothing I didnt like except perhaps when the sun went in.
