5,4 Okay
Pros: Quality of food. Very good indeed.
Cons: cleanless, location, decor
5,8 Okay
Pros: the aperitiv at 4pm the welcome chocolates the check out apple strudel
Cons: Booked the hotel a couple months in advance and asked the concierge the best way to arrive from Rome. She gave me a very complicated and expensive way to get there, got lucky to have searched the net. The actual hotel i’d say is a 4 star but the price is too expensive 460 euro per night, I thought because it is luxury - it is NOT: - the spa is tiny, 4-6 people can fit -the ceiling was moldy, discussing - the breakfast was extremely poor in terms of choice: scrambled eggs, sausage, deli meats, sweet pastry and sugary cereal, and since im pregnant and could not eat the deli and undercooked eggs, asked for boiled eggs and was charged 8 euros for it :) - i also told them in advance im pregnant and cannot eat anything raw, after i saw their menu, asked if its ok to make simple pasta al pomodoro (they had no pasta on the menu), the waiter said that it will take too long :))) so ordered some gnocchi. -it was always freezing in the hall and restaurant. They have a fireplace which they keep on small fire, barely lit. However, must say that they have an aperitiv from 4-7pm with free snacks which are very tasty. - the room is quite large but the almost transparent glass wall to the bathroom really is not a good idea in terms of privacy and soundproof. - they have a shuttle on request since the location of the hotel is not very good. However, the shuttle doesnt work properly. Both times we requested, we had to wait 15 min, although called prior 20 min, and both times were lied about the driver being there waiting for us for 15 min :) when we saw him drive past us. The service in the restaurant was really bad! They never cleaned the plates. I had to always take them myself to the next table.

Pros: We had the most wonderful stay. The staff were fantastic and really helpful at all times. The room was comfortable and beautiful with a real authentic alpine feel. The dinning experience, in the restaurant and at breakfast was truly amazing. They take tremendous pride to ensure you have a true experience with ingredients of the highest quality. The icing on the cake was a day out mountain biking through the most beautiful scenery ever experience with the Hotel Owner, Alberto. He made time to ensure we had a great experience of his 'back garden'. An experience my wife and I will never forget. I highly recommend you to stay there. We will be back.

Cons: nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly friendly service provided by the owners and their staff. Nice atmosphere, large and exceedingly clean room with amazing view. Perfect position slightly above the town centre. It is a pretty mountain hotel which becomes "luxury" thanks to the quality of the service.
Cons: The appearance is a bit "retro", some refurbishment in the common rooms would be welcome and the wellness area could be slightly upgraded. The choice of cooked dishes at breakfast could be improved.
6,3 Good
Pros: Good location in town, nice staff good breakfast
Cons: Very loud and overpriced

Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful family team in a cozy well run hotel. Food was very good and Antonio made sure we were happy in the dining room Central location is a plus. Good value.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, excellent location, easy access to ski lifts. Great breakfast. Afternoon tea is served, along with vin brûlée, which is nice when coming off the slopes
Cons: The rooms are a bit small, so our family of 4 had to have 2 rooms, but they did put them next to each other. Larger rooms may be available, but we booked last minute
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed the warm hospitality of this third generation-owned hotel in the center of town. Siblings Fausto and Christina could not have been more helpful with our needs, and knowledgeable about local activities. Our room was quiet, well maintained with comfortable beds. Unusually large public rooms, including for the nice breakfast.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: This wonderful and stunning family run hotel seems to have no faults. It felt like staying with family and friends. There are only six rooms, with the most stunning views over the mountains. It’s a long and very winding road to the chalet from the town, so we chose to eat in the hotel both nights which turned out to be the best possible choice. It felt like a family meal, with no menu choices but five perfectly cooked and delicious dishes served with excellent local wines. Amazing value for money.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very different approach of the owner and his staff....familiar, like old friends...the filling is like at home. I suggest to everyone who want a little break of daily problems to visit this destination. Regarding the food-dinner and breakfast.... excellent. Panoramic view is more than beautiful. All together- location, food, nature, owner and his staff for 10 +. It was so nice that I certainly will come again at first occasion...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable friendly family hotel with good food, an amazing spa and only 6 rooms for rent. The surrounding, no wifi and no tv really helps to let go the everyday stress. I do recommend to everyone that loves to escape “reality” and that is interest in good food for fair prices!
Cons: A bit adventurous to get there but guess that’s the price to pay to be off the track and nothing that stops me for coming back. I do drive a motorbike so certainly easier to reach by car. :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The exceptional view, the exceptional food and lovely staff. Bed very comfortable with crisp linen. Excellent shower.
Cons: Beware the radio alarm set by the previous guest !
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was truly amazing experience. Pension is a very special place, with calm and peaceful atmosphere. View is just incredible. We had the best time there. Food is just a masterpiece and you will be looking forward for the dinner every day! Place itself is gorgeous and close to everything: cycling, hiking, city. And most important part of this place - owners: kind, helpful, sunny people. Already looking forward to come back!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has perhaps the most stunning view I've ever seen - ever - and the layout of the property took full advantage. I also liked how welcoming our host was and how skilled he was with languages and information on nearby hiking. Our breakfasts and dinners were fantastic and I appreciated that there was no wifi or cell service. It pushed us to relax, talk, play cards, read and savor our time as a family there.
Cons: The only weekspot was the size of the bedrooms - they were a bit small. But beautifully done in a rustic and comfortable way and ours had a lovely balcony - again with that showstopping view.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My favorite place on earth, peace, serenity, breath taking views, wonderful host family, great fresh local food, amazing breakfast, incredible value, perfect little spa, well arranged rooms with storage and closet space, great shower, clean, great wine list, lots of organic options. Host speaks multiple languages very well.
Cons: Still wish the spa had a small corner lamp for reading, and the water for the tea in the spa is always too hot.

Pros: It was not our first time here and loved it again. The hotel restaurant is a must!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is perfect for combination of skiing, wellness and dining. Hotel has two vans that bring us every morning to the cable car of our choice and after skiing they came to pick up us upon the phone call. Wellness area is nice and it opens from 2 to 8 pm that gives plenty of space for everybody to enjoy and it does not get crowded. Foot was excellent, great choice of local specials and traditional Italian kitchen and they offer very good (and affordable) selection of vines from Alto Adigie and Trentino region.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant food was amazing all week we stayed there. We did not eat anywhere else for all our meals.
Cons: The children’s area could be better equipped with more toys for the kids that are age appropriate. Most of the toys there were for kids who were very young (toddlers), however, the staff, esp Daniella, made up for the good interaction with the kids
10,0 Excellent
Pros: What a nice people and what a nice hotel. The surroundings of Madonna are like Paradise when you like mountains as I do.
Cons: nothing
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was mostly very professional and polite, special thanks to Elena at reception who was very helpful. Both the room and the bathroom were nicely sized, with a good bathtub. The decor is simple, Alpine wooden style, well-maintained. The spa includes 2 saunas (finnish and bio), and a turkish sauna that were well-sized (at least for visiting off-season in Sept). There's also a separate pool and jacuzzi area open to children. The hotel offered a complimentary tea time with fruit and sweets, which was nice. The hotel is 10 min walk to the centre, in a quiet location across the river. Ample easy parking nearby. Room was well heated in the shoulder season in Sept.
Cons: The biggest issue was the safety of the pool. It's not deep, < 1.5 metres, but there are underwater slippery stairs that you can easily bang against if you try to swim. There were also the cords of the tarp that covers the pool that you can get tangled in. Definitely a weird and unsafe design. To turn on the bathroom heating you need to call reception, and it resets every day, which was a bit of a hassle. Breakfast was okay but no local cheese and salami provided, only average quality supermarket ones. The double bed was two separate beds, and kind of hard and lumpy, the mattress could do with an update. Quiet in the off season but bathroom pipes from neighbouring rooms can be heard clearly, so if you want to sleep in bring earplugs. Change of bathrobe for the spa for an additional charge. Some of the staff at the bar paid little attention to us, they were busying themselves with Italian guests mostly, which left us with a strange feeling of being invisible at times. Please consider changing toiletries to eco-friendly ones in big dispensers instead of the small package plastic ones.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location made even easier by the shuttle service. Comfortable rooms and good facilities. The staff were amazing. If you go to Madonna, stay here, you won't regret it.

7,1 Good
Pros: Good breakfast at for 12 euro, quite close to the ski lift and slope.
Cons: The facilities are very basic, the bed was not comfortable, design of the room is like in a cheap hostel. The price was the same as for the 4* hotel, but it was the day of the World Cup race.
8,0 Excellent
Cons: At the hotel, our neighbors were bit loud late in the evening. It was nothing to complain about but it was noticeable that our neighbors above us were still making noise at 1:30 in the morning.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Beds were terrible . Breakfast overpriced and facilities all chargeable
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Next to the lifter Groste (4-5 minutes to walk from 1 hotel block), if you get any other of rest 5, it will be even closer. It has ski equipment room, underground parking.
Cons: It was a phone, but couldn’t find reception number anythere. :)
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Close to the mountain, had everything we needed for a ski vacation with kids!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice spa (at minimal extra cost) and pool and designated lockers for ski equipment. Good selection at breakfast. Close proximity to ski lifts and bus stop.
Cons: No daily cleaning of the rooms which we were not aware of.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We did self catering so hotel food was not relevant. It looked fine though; we ate there on day 1. The hotel is very nice. A good gym and a nice pool too. 4th visit to Madonna and this was the best hotel (for self catering). The ski locker goes straight out so no messing up and down stairs. Good new lockers with working boot heaters, unlike the decrepit stuff found at so many places. 5 mins walk to the bottom of Groste or Pradalago lifts, so well located. Actually the hotel comprises of about 3 big hotels so if you pick the right one you can get a room very near the ski lifts, but even the furthest one was only 5 mins' walk.
Cons: The beds are quite hard. Not the solid plywood mattresses you get in Greece but hard enough. I had to sleep on the sofa which was a bit softer, and on top of 3 blankets to make it softer still. In December there aren't so many buses and the town (which is small but very nice) is quite a walk. The last bus was 4:30pm. The taxis were good though at 10 euros each way.
