First thing, breakfast food good, we were served very quick from ordering. Good selection of hot and cold drinks along with fruit plus continental or full English breakfast available, all nicely cooked, presented well, appetising, tasty and enjoyable! The restaurant area was clean, tidy and professional with a smart layout, fairly quiet to sit in or outside! The main pub and bar has a fair amount of beers and wines on tap, reasonably priced and staffed by pleasant, friendly staff who were more than happy to assist in any way they could! We liked the garden which separated the pub from the hotel block, again neatly laid out and roomy with a perfect suntrap to unwind after the day. The room was a good size, with a compact bathroom adjacent to it, two single beds joined to create a large king size one, a comfy mattress, ample pillows, a massive tv positioned right in line of sight which meant it was ideal to catch up with everything! There was tea, coffee and bottled water provided however the best bit noticed was a fully stocked mini bar, bit pricy like they all are but convenient. No noise or disturbance heard from inside the room, AC available if required and a selection of lighting arrangements to hand. So good inside and out!
Nothing i did not really like
Friendly place, food was fantastic, really nice bar area with plenty of choice of beer/gin etc
I was impressed with the size of the hotel as it was a lot bigger that expected due to the front pictures of the pub at the front.
Easy access by underground to London City.
Slightly noisy between rooms and corridors but not excessive. Water noise from adjacent bathrooms quite loud.
The bar and restaurant area was lovely.
The walls were so thin that we could hear the couple next door getting very familiar with each other which as you can imagine was most unpleasant.
