The lovely historical building. It is like going home feeling. The charming common areas are all beautifully decorated. Large bathroom and smallest room. It is 20mins walk to nearest metro and buses pass in front of the hotel. We did not walk at night. We Uber.
None of the rooms are sound proof. I changed from almost front to back garden room still hear traffic noises. Even thou this is a relatively quiet neighborhood. Can heard my neighbors coughing at night! The common areas would have been enjoyable but because it is open guests use it for smoking so we can’t enjoy it.
The roof Terrace with honesty bar is really great. The staff are welcoming and professional The atmosphere is convivial The interior decor is charming
On a noisy road - despite asking for a quiet room we had traffic thundering past all hours
Lovely upmarket traditional hotel.
Amazing decor suited to the history of the hotel. Breakfast was great. Room was quiet and comfortable. 3rd floor bar in the library with balcony and view was great.
Nothing I didn’t like.
The charme was authentic!
A small Boutique hotel part of an 18th century townhouse. Just next door to the National Ancient Art Museum, with 29 sunny rooms, Garden(where in summer you can enjoy Buffet breakfast), Library with Terrace overlooking the Tagus river, where books and family photos set the scene for a romantic novel. This house is believed to have been inspiration for the famous novel "Os Maias" written by Ea de Queiroz,a Portuguese writer who is said to have lived here. As in a friend's home, all the areas of As Janelas Verdes are exclusive for our Guests.
