9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location and friendly staff. Nice simple clean rooms.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location on the quay side watching the fishing fleet return in the afternoon great. This meant that the fish in the restaurant next door was also fresh. A very short walk into the town, some restaurants even had the names of the fishing vessels that the sea food had landed that day was posted on the menu. The lovely owners and staff were always so very helpful. Secure parking within the hotel area was a great bonus (chargeable but worth it) Breakfast was always good, fresh bread every day. We spent a very happy 5 days exploring the Camargue, we also watched the bulls being run through the town by the cowboys/cowgirls, all very exciting.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
6,7 Good
Pros: Great location with easy access to beaches. Loads of restaurants to go to and the people are very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The room floor was dirty and when you have a 1 year old you care about these things. We were in back of hotel and the Laundry below our room started up at 7 am, not very client Friendly. There was no lift so had to carry everything up and down a spiral staircase, not very safe.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice spot just a short walk from shops and restaurants in a gorgeous little town. Lovely breakfast
Cons: The aircon leaked all night
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The stuff was very helpful . Not far from the beach and the restaurants. Very clean.

R2 004+
Overview Reviews
"This character hotel, ideally located in the centre of Montpellier just 2 minutes walk from the Place de la Comdie and and 50 m from the Gare St Roch tram stop, is discovering a new lease of life. We reopened the 26th of December 2016.After a year of extensive work, rediscover the 4-star Oceania Le Mtropole hotel since 26th December. The hotel successfully blends charm with modernity, with a light touch of exoticism, in the spirit of the great Belle Epoque luxury establishments. Behind its majestic faade, the hotel boasts a brand new area devoted to well-being with a hammam, fitness room, massage and a range of treatments, and the relaxation extends through to the Jacuzzi and swimming pool, bordered by the gardens palm trees, providing welcome shade for the terrace. From the hotels entrance and lobby, through the cosy English bar and La Closerie restaurant, not forgetting the prestigious lounges, the decoration has been completely restyled to restore all the venues former panache and character. The high ceilings, frescoes featuring romantic cherubs and prestigious parquet flooring have all been totally renovated to re-establish all the prestige of this magnificent 4-star hotel located right in the heart of Montpellier. Light is everywhere from the broad glass roof of the restaurant to the majestic stairway in the lobby, perfectly showcased by a magnificent and elegant suspension that floats in the air. As you wander the corridors, escaped budgerigars from the high glass roof are perched along the walls, inviting guests to continue their visit to our 96 rooms and suits. The decoration is personalised for each type of room, paying tribute to the different times of day: the warmth of the southern sunshine, a subtle blend of oranges and purples evoking a stunning late afternoon, or the enveloping gentleness of midnight blue and copper of the setting sun. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great boutique hotel in a seaside village. It's much quieter here than further up the coast, more local with French visitors rather than an international scene. Our room was small but once organized we were fine; the balcony opens to views of the sea and a fabulous sunset; rental bikes are available and worth a few hours on the bike path. We didn't spring for the breakfast, just brought coffee up to the room and enjoyed it on the balcony. Stefan at reception is lovely and friendly with all sorts of helpful information. We really enjoyed our 2 days here...very relaxing.

Cons: Room very small. Supposedly for 3 but two was a squash No door on shower area so you could see straight into shower from the bedroom For the price would have expected tea & coffee in the room. No bedside cabinet / table - just a little box thing screwed on the wall.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Fine breakfast, pool, and location.
Cons: The ac only recirculated rather than cooling the air. The personnel was very helpful in cleaning the filters so that air circulated fasterz but it was clearly broken. They did offer to change rooms, but it would be still better if the ac in room 25 will be fixed before next summer.

Pros: Close to the harbour and the beach. Very nice woman at the reception.
Cons: Room in the basement was not soo charming ....
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Our room was very quiet, spacious and very comfortable and we had a nice top floor balcony overlooking the pool. The hotel staff were friendly and informative. Cons: Didn’t have WiFi
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms very nice but a little small. Position, close to the beech. Receptionists and consierge guys, wonderful!
Cons: The beach staff including the "boos", was poor, idiotic, or racist! They did not let us stay on the beach beds even if for 5-6 hours there were not occupied more then 40-60% (I make photos in this sens)! At the hotel pool was free but in 4 hours, no one asked me if I wanted to drink or eat something. Very poor breakfast! The omelette was a kind of yellow glue that no one could eat!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location with private beach and swimming pool. Would be great for young kids, as the beach is very protected and shallow. Rooms were fantastic - very modern and comfortable with all expected amenities. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Beach restaurant was a nice surprise.
Cons: The building was a little run-down on the outside and in the hallways. Could use some freshening, but this didn't take away from the experience and the rooms were very well appointed and clean.
7,9 Good
Pros: Location nice and clam. Great for short stay but I wouldn’t stay here longer than week again. Super convenient parking(spots are tight but they will park it for you) Nice pool in the back of the building View from the room was just amazing. Very clean.
Cons: Breakfast was good but same meal every morning. Restaurant was fine too but half of offered dishes are seafood so if you catch a bad weather on the sea you will not get any fresh food. Half of the staff barely speak English(except front desk) so if you don’t know French get ready for it.( check in and check out was easy tho) Slow WI-FI.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast service and so nice to sit on the terrace to eat. Great that pool towels were provided. Friendly, approachable staff.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The light artistic atmosphere in the lobby, the kind receptionist , the garden, and of course the parrot :-)
6,7 Good
Pros: Their general attitude is very good. Clean. Nice breakfast.
Cons: Tiny TV with remotes not properly working - no proper lighting of the room. Parking expensive and tiny slots. Noisy.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: excellent location
Cons: aircon didn't work very well in one of the rooms
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was very nice - it was 1 minute from the beach, and also you had most restaurants close by. Even if the hotel is close to the busy beach/boulevard, the rooms were very quiet, so you were able to properly relax. It had a really nice garden, where you could enjoy the shade in a hammock. The friendly staff was very in tune with the arty decor of the hotel and its cleanliness . We also loved the fact that we were able to buy fresh fruits from the close by Carrefour.
Cons: Initially I though that the "beach side" rooms have a sea view, but it wasn't the case, they were pointing to the boulevard.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely located, directly by the beach and the restaurants. A little jewel among the big buildings. The hotel's decoration is cool and colourful in every details, the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The beach is nice and sandy for kids.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the tram station connected to the distant areas of the town, but at the same time within the short walking distance to the shopping mall, city center or the river. Room is comfortable, nicely decorated and a good choice if you want to combine eating in the restaurants and at home since there is a small, but equipped kitchen in the room.
Cons: We stayed for 7 nights, but only once the room was cleaned. I think it should have been done at least twice, given the price and the length of our stay. Fresh towel are however available on request.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Polite and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, kitchenette enables you to make a simple meal, green grocer and deli across the road, and short walk to town centre.
Cons: The outdoor area and garden could do with a bit of TLC (at the moment the outdoor facade is under maintenance). The tram runs in front of the property which might bother some guests but I didn’t find it too noisy.

Pros: The shower. Breakfast very average.
Cons: The coffee
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location from the train station, perfect for someone travelling alone. Beautiful bedrooms, helpful staff.
Cons: The room was so hot, but the temperature moderator did not seem to work and my window overlooked a flat roof and had no catch so was not happy to sleep with the window wide open.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, clean room
Cons: Nothing below expectation
6,0 Good
Pros: Great location Nice rooms with renovated bathrooms
Cons: We could not cool down the temperature of the room (AC did not work) and we could not turn off the heat (no way!). So the room was over 25ºC...it was hard to fall asleep They sold out of maps of the city and since we arrived at 7.30 pm we could not get another one from tourist office
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was large and very comfortable, and the included coffee machine was nice to have.
Cons: The shower/ bathroom setup was a bit weird, and kind of flooded the entire bathroom whenever you took a shower, but aside from that it was fine.

8,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely professional, helpful, and nice.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The guy at the evening reception was helpful and polite. TV was Chromecast capable which allowed us to watch Amazon Prime and German TV through our smartphone Historic Centre in walking distance / 10 minutes
Cons: Our room was not very clean - but on a still acceptable level when we moved in. Unfortunately the room service did not clean anything during our stay, and on three out of five days they did not appear at all. Hence we ran out of towels and toilet paper, had to ask for renewal of our kitchen towel, waste bin was not emptied and so on. On the days when they felt like doing our room, they did it on a minimum level. Bed was made without any love, no cleaning happened at all. Cutlery and glasses were dirty from the very beginning. Water tap in kitchen area was not tightened. Adjustment of air conditioning /heating was blocked. TV did not work on arrival, which was fixed by moving us into another room. No discount could be granted as a recovery of the above described points. All in all very disappointing and definitely our last stay in Appart city hotels.

Pros: This hotel is a bit older, however, it has been well maintained. The room was clean and very nice. There was parking on premises and it was secure. There was everything near this place, grocery, restaurants, water and nice staff. I highly recommend.
Cons: The only one thing I didn't like was there was no coffee making service in our room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: location fine, breakfast ok
Cons: parking conditions
Very clean.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The friendship and the welcome at the desk when we arrived, the personal do some more to give us our room as quick as possible, and give us the opportunity to enjoy our first and last day after the check out Thanks!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The kindness and the availability of the staff. Great location, very close to the beach. The quietness of the room. The bed which was very confortable. The view from the top floor restaurant.
7,1 Good
Pros: The proximity to the beach and some local shops. We took the short ferry ride over to the other side (which is NOT in walking distance). This side offered more shops, restaurants and activities to do.
Cons: The staff wasn’t the friendliest and I thought the room was too small for the registered three people in the room. It was advertised as being about to accommodate three (1 adult and 2children) but the space was extremely tight and not worth the money.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Our view from the balcony was fabulous!
Cons: Our room was well equiped but very small for four of us.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This was our second time and I love the location. It’s quiet and ideal for a family holiday. The room was cleaned everyday and they did a great job in keeping it clean. Most of the staff Personal was friendly. The rooms have been renovated and given a facelift. The beds are very comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast lacks variety and is very bland. It was expensive as well. We stayed for a week...everyday the same food...not worth 16€ per Person.Beach restaurant served uncooked chicken. Unwillingness of some staff personal to speak English.
6,3 Good
Pros: The room was clean and silent.
Cons: The shower water temperature could not be set to a constant temperature. At restaurant , food could not be ordered before 21, we arrived around 20 15 and were asked to wait till 21 even though we asked for take away food. All spa facilities were extra payments. We got 3 rather unfriendly emails after our booking from the hotel, for no reason, just to inform us that if we arrived before 16 no room is available, another to let us know that spa and other facilities are on extra charge.it is the first time in many years that we saw so many in my view un necessary un welcoming messages before arrival.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location for immediate pool & beach access. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great for a little R&R
Cons: extra charges for indoor pool and restrictions for children, but I guess it's a spa.....maybe for a visit without kids

Pros: Stunning location, welcoming staff, holidays at its best!
6,8 Good
Pros: The location and the friendly staff
Cons: It said it had parking on site but 6 parking space for an entire hotel don't qualify in my opinion.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean rooms. We had a very big bed, highly appreciated. The view from the first floor is great, beach just a few meters from the hotel. The breakfast was ok but the room on the 4th floor wasnt too nice but the staff at the breakfast very friendly.
Cons: Reception staff not too friendly, I hope they are only like this at the end of the seasion.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel,sea , breakfast ,locations
Cons: When we are booked hotel the description says VAT and city taxes has included with the price but they was charged us twice so we’re not been happy Our check out has been at 11am ,but our flight was been in night during the time the hotel didn’t give us some room for shower .
5,8 Okay
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the breakfast room had a fabulous view. The breakfast was a buffet of good fare. The location was good as the beach was outfront of the hotel.
Cons: There was no parking. The room we had was very very basic. 2 chairs, a desk, a small fridge and no place to put your suitcase other than on the floor. 2 coffee sachets were supplied along with a kettle. The only glasses supplied were plastic and the bathroom was tiny. No comfort or luxury at all, unlike other 3 star hotels we have stayed in, in France. This hotel should be a 2 star only. My first impression of this hotel left me wanting to get out of La Grau de Roi quickly.
7,9 Good
Pros: Excellent location at the sea and beachfront.
Cons: Rooms rather small. Parking can be a nuisance.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A spacious room with balcony and a great view. Spotlessly clean and well furnished. Good breakfast choice and excellent restaurant.
Cons: Lack of parking.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The property is in an idyllic fantastic location
Cons: If to be picky, we had one large suitcase and there was no where to put it, otherwise small room but chic
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location is away from the main tourist area but is still fairly busy. It is right on the sea front with fantastic views
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing sunsets
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect, breakfast was very nice all fresh produce. Entry of fresh fruit and drink selection was good. Restaurant on hand with a lovely variety and flavour of dishes was superb.
Cons: Our room was suitable but not quite due to location at the rear of the restaurant.
7,5 Good
Pros: Really helpful, friendly staff made us feel very welcome Fantastic location - at the end of the road so quiet and opening straight on to the beach Brilliant sunsets - great spot for evening drinks Excellent (if a bit pricey) restaurant Great breakfast choice with additional daily surprise extras chucked in Well located for visiting nearby towns and sites Great for swimming in Med
Cons: Room very small. Supposedly for 3 but two was a squash No door on shower area so you could see straight into shower from the bedroom For the price would have expected tea & coffee in the room. No bedside cabinet / table - just a little box thing screwed on the wall.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location view balcony and great staff
Cons: Small in room toilet and not a lot of floor space
