Cons (-) It was horrible it was old and grungy and dirty and there are no locks on the windows there's cracks in the walls carpet was filthy the windows were filthy I have a two-year-old that could open the windows and there is no screen no lock she could've fallen out it was horrible I got food poisoning from the breakfast we had at that restaurant that's attached to the hotel I've been sick for two days ...

Pros (+) I left a pair of heels purposely in the trash basket because they were badly marked and 'banged up' after attending an outdoor wedding in a lemon grove in Oxnard. (I figured that by placing them in the trash it would signify that I was tossing them.) Pros (+) The location is directly on the coast and smack dab on Main Beach which is fantastic.
Cons (-) The hotel itself and rooms are ancient and have not been updated AT ALL. The hotel was rebuilt in 1930 (originally 1888). There was no air conditioning, the windows still looked original (single pane) and blocked minimal sound. We heard car alarms incessantly and the people below. The room and bathroom were tiny and old and didn't look clean...mold throughout the bathroom tile grout. The window tr...

Pros (+) Location was everything, literally right on the sand. Best part about the hotel was the restaurant.
Cons (-) Man, where to start! First I must say, me and my girlfriend are not picky travelers. We are completely fine staying in a motel 6 if it is clean and up to par. Hotel Laguna is far from par. Every time we'd go take a shower, the faucet would randomly shoot out scalding hot water and burned my girlfriend twice. Our window was broken, so I had to hang out the window to tighten a loose screw so it woul...

Pros (+) The staff were very helpful; the food was delicious; and the ocean front views and beach access wonderful.
Cons (-) Hotel was originally built in 1929 so the rooms are bit small.

Pros (+) Amazing location, our room had a really nice view, the room was clean, small and simply furnished but charming. The hotel is older but I still liked the historical vibe and it felt cozy and quaint. Restaurant had a fantastic view and good food, would happily stay there again. Staff was really nice, price was reasonable, especially for New Years.
Cons (-) Could use a fridge in the room.
