Pros: Location on the beach and elegance of the hotel.
Cons: I travel almost every month across Europe and usually I don’t worry about small things. But when staff intentionally ignore the guest. It is not acceptable. This was one of the most expensive hotels in Europe but unfortunately not all staff were attentive and responsive. Really sad.

Cons: the room was totally outdated, no air conditioning , suffocating inside the room at night, the bathroom was very small, the shower door was falling apart hitting a bidet so you could not open it fully, the shower was extremely small with mildew around the hinges. and this was supposed to be a nicer room than originally booked and had to pay extra!! this hotel needs a major make-over, it felt like 1970 and the staff knows it, unacceptable, overpriced!!!!

Pros: A beautifully decorated boutique hotel with a wonderful restaurant made this stay very special. I look forward to coming back and highly recommend a stay here. While the historic building has all of the charm one would expect in La Baule, its mid-century decor highlighted with beautiful antiques throughout the hotel and rooms is simply stunning. A real lesson in French flair! The restaurant is rightly very highly rated. The menu was absolutely fabulous made solely from regional ingredients. A truly unique experience!

Cons: Although very pretty from the outside, the interior decor is very dated. The room definitely needed a coat of paint. The balcony was very unkempt with old window boxes full of dead plants & weeds left unattended & it needed sweeping. This was a superior room & we got a good deal off season but I wouldn’t like to pay the higher peak season price.

Pros: We booked room for 3 nights for 702 eur without pre-payment conditions and with possibility to cancel our booking: "to be paid in place". But in 1,5 weeks before stay they have pre-authorized 750 eur on my card. Saying that "it is normal in France" they didn't able to clarify - WHY they pre-authorised MORE then total amount of our booking? After this they are not able to use this pre-authorization ammount for check-out payment! And finally we were need to pay 1452 eur (twice more!!!), because since 1 week of check out this pre-authorized amount (750 eur) still blocked!!! Second - in the room they advertize, that they offering Nuxe cosmetics but in our room only shower gel were available. We asked reception to give shampoo and so one, but without results (they called 4 stars hotel!!!)

Saying that "it is normal in France" they didn't able to clarify - WHY they pre-authorised MORE then total amount of our booking? After this they are not able to use this pre-authorization ammount for check-out payment! And finally we were need to pay 1452 eur (twice more!!!), because since 1 week of check out this pre-authorized amount (750 eur) still blocked!!! Second - in the room they advertize, that they offering Nuxe cosmetics but in our room only shower gel were available. We asked reception to give shampoo and so one, but without results (they called 4 stars hotel!!!)

Cons: The bathroom size was ridiculous, I actually hit my head on the wall while standing up from the toilet. It was not possible to dry yourself in the bathroom. The internet is a problem, it drops out and this time wouldn’t work at all. This is where I hit the biggest problem a staff member who really didn’t care. Somewhat galling given the sign on the desk says if you have a problem let us know! If internet is important to you choose a different hotel and make sure you get a decent sized room

The staff were super helpful when our boat was cancelled and accommodated us for our extra nights stay. Could be great again with some investment and management overhaul. Sorry but the most expensive but least acceptable accommodation we had in France to date

Pros: We liked the place, the food, the view, the concert.
Cons: We didn’t really like sharing a table for the concert dinner, so we didn’ t share.

Pros: Very kind and helpful staff ladies.
Cons: Room too small overpriced. We stayed in better places for less and did not have to pay the parking.

Pros: The personal was very friendly, not strict.
Cons: Just some bad smell in the room. Maybe a little bit too expensive for the dimensions of the room and the 3-stars category.
