Pros: Breakfast in the room was excellent, not too much, not heavy. We had a room with private bath and in-room diding, you cannot beat that: Japanise style room. A very stylish hotel ryokan, one of the best we have ever seen, and we have seen many.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing meals. This is a high end luxury boutique ryokan (?26 rooms)with Kaiseki dinners and breakfasts- the best of Japanese haute cuisine. The staff were absolutely charming and helpful. The rooms are enormous with a personal outdoor spa each! Very comfy beds and a very powerful massage chair in every room. Communal onsens are lovely too with outdoor rooftop views of the (frozen) lake and mountains. We would definitely recommend to anyone going to Eastern Hokkaido.
Cons: The rest of lake Akan onsen resort is a bit of a let down. The other hotels there are drab big anonymous affairs and not that attractive to look at! All the shops sell the same things. This amazing ryokan does come at a cost for half board (the only option) but it is a truly memorable experience. There is an all inclusive bar in the hotel but it doesn’t open till 9pm...we were too jet lagged to make the most of it!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Room is quite spacious as is the in room onsen bath which can easily fit 3 people
Cons: Food could have been more 'special'
9,6 Excellent

Cons: Nil.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very attentive to us throughout our stay.
Cons: Having a shower indoors as it is located just beside the outdoor onsen, sometimes it’s quite a challenge to use the shower as it gets quite cold because it was winter when we went.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Very big room, comfortable futon bed, delicious and beautiful kaiseki meals, private onsen, massage chair and outstanding staff.
Cons: None

Pros: Lake Akan is gorgeous Try to make the Kamuy lake show
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Has some shopping in the hotel and the onsen has a lot of choices
7,1 Good
Pros: The buffet provided a range of gourmet choices. Wide range of sashimi, traditional Japanese, western and Chinese food. The public bath on B1 is has multiple bath design, both indoor and outdoor. We also enjoyed private family bath area which had a Sauna room.
Cons: The room was small, comparing to our previous experience with Japanese ryokan. We were also waken up by doorbell ringing twice at around 2am which was unpleasant.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The best buffet dinner you could hope for in terms of both quality and quantity. Also the best outdoor on-sen bath with a spectacular lake view. Not to be missed.
Cons: We were fortunate to be given a corner room in the main building with a great view but otherwise would have been looking at the street. Worthwhile paying the extra for a room in the annex.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is the second time I stay in this hotel. I always book the room with Private hot spring. Their staffs are very friendly, Food very tasty.
Cons: everything is good, but price is also not cheap
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Buffet meals were delicious! The lake view is really nice. The staff were extremely courteous and nice. Our tatami room was in the Rera Wing, which had a nice foot hot spring. The rooms had everything we needed.
Cons: We noticed the female public bathrooms ran out of hand soap constantly.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Fantastic buffet dinner and breakfast. Normally I don’t like buffet style dinners, but this was extremely good. Very well presented, good quality and a lot of variety: Japanese, Chinese, European section. Hotel is in nice town with lot of (tourist) shops, along the lake. Hotel has really good onsen, outside in garden, also onsen on rooftop outside.
Cons: None
7,5 Good
Cons: Location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Food
7,9 Good
Pros: Onsen facility at the roof floor is amazing, definitely worth a try.
Cons: The decoration and setting in the room are definitely old, though the outlook of the room is refurbished, this doesn't change what it is, an 80s Onsen hotel of Japan.

Located nearly next to Kushiro Station, there is quick and easy access to both bus routes and taxi's. All providing connections all around the city!

Pros: Location is super good, next to bus terminal. The bus to kushiro airport just outside bus terminal. Hotel serve a very nice pastries and coffee during breakfast
Cons: None
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, efficient and convenient due to proximity to bus and train station. All basic amenities are provided.
Cons: The room was too small for 3 people. No space to open suitcase.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were cramped (slightly tighter than other Japanese hotels I have stayed at), but clean and nice (you get to choose the type of pillow you prefer) Breakfast (Japanese buffet) was nice. The pastries were baked at the hotel and the bean-to-cup coffee was good. The hotel provided some skin care products that my wife liked and there's an onsen in the hotel. Parking was convenient and safe.
Cons: Rooms were tight, making it hard to place luggage.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff was extremely hospital, the breakfast was shockingly good (you can take seconds, don't be afraid like we were!), the facilities in the room were very comfortable and being so close to the train station as well as several izakaya restaurants nearby means plenty of food and commodities.
Cons: The room was definitely a little bit too small, was difficult for one of my family members to open their big luggage. A little cramped for two people to walk around as well, very cramped if you invite your friends over.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and all the facilities were efficient. Right next to Kushiro station and bus station. Breakfast is very good.
Cons: The room is too small for 3 people. No space to open suitcase. No iPhone charging place white there was one for Android and tablet. Only one onsen for men/womrn, therefore had to take the lady time in consideration. Room rate is too expensive for the small room offered.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, friendly staff. Rooms were small but clean and beds were comfortable. Nice touch having free toiletries (organic shampoo, conditioner, body soap etc) for the ladies. Breakfast spread was much better than expected.
Cons: Rooms were on the small side.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location to railway station and buses
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Onsen. Free laundry dryer, female toiletry and breakfast.
Cons: The ceiling is too low for the top of bunk bed and we have to make the top bed by ourself.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel run on Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) concept, we can exchange unused toothbrush for candies, choose not to do room cleaning and get free bottled water instead. The reception staffs were extremely warm and friendly, they wrote a welcome note for us, You can pick the pillow type you want (soft, medium, hard, low or high). And last but not least, the breakfast spread was simply amazing, loved the soup curry, the selection of Japanese cuisine. One of the best hotel I have ever stayed in an excellent location next to the Kushiro Train Station
Cons: The onsen was very small but functional. Toilet was also quite small.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The service from front desk is excellent
Cons: The room is too small.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: good view of the lake from the room. although it was raining. we could sit in the room.
Cons: very old look in the room. had issue in bathroom. Staff quickly fix that. having said that, there is a hole in the bathroom. they covered in towel. also, the shower bath tub did not have railing to hold. A safety issue. when we booked hotel, breakfast and dinner in hotel was mandatory. we paid very high amount. 95% food are meant for japanese. just manage our food somehow. but we could save lot of money if we took our breakfast and dinner from nearby store. It is not fare to force people to include dinner and breakfast.
7,9 Good
Pros: Amazing view of the lake Friendly staff Nice buffet meals Bonus show
Cons: Small room for 5 people. The staff at reception informed us that the onsite onset was open all night but when we got there at 11:00 pm we found it closed.
7,9 Good
Pros: Comfort bed. Room with lake view. Variety choices of buffet breakfast and dinner.
Cons: Bathroom drain got blockage. Water flow out too slow and cause flood in the bathroom.
7,9 Good
Pros: Good price for partial lake view room.
Cons: Need to park a distance away and take shuttle bus. Big hotel that cater for tour groups. Very noisy and crowded. Not relax. Restaurant was struggling to cope with big crowds during dinner time. Again... noisy and crowded....!!!

Pros: Onsen and rotenburo was fantastic
Cons: I had a very smelly of previous smoker customer!!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The roof top pool is amazing, the view of sunset from water...an unforgettable experience. The buffet is also great.

Cons: Too many tour buses tourists and so it was crowded during the breakfast and dinner.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location Restaurant good
Cons: Parking was off site but had shuttle service
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed your breakfast and dinner buffet. The early breakfast at 6:30 A.M. and early dinner at 5:30 were good especially for the seniors.
Cons: The bathroom is a little too small; we felt cramped using the toilet.
6,3 Good
Pros: The hotel is very old and especially if you had rooms in the old wing it smells. I have to pay extra to move to the new wing because I dont like the old furnitures and the smells in the old rooms. The hotel is big but it had too many tour groups in the hotel. So the place is noisy and rowdy. Some of the groups were not properly briefed on the etiquettes on using the onsen so a big group came and jumped straight into the onsen pool without a bath. Eeeeeee! And worst still there are some who brought in the handphones and happily snapping inside the onsen and the outdoor shared pool. There was a man naked walking around in the outdoor pool not knowing there are ladies and children around sharing the pool. I feel that the hotel should have some staff monitoring the situation especially when there is so many groups sharing common outdoor pool. The buffet spread is good and the view from the high window is excellent. But there were too many people and the time they gave us to finish food (1 hour) is not good. We are on holidays and we wish to go slow.
Cons: So staff in the onsen area to monitor the situation

Pros: Great hotel. Right across the road from the station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even though my Japanese is not great and their English was a little better! Cons: Normal services you get from a value hotel.

Give us the key at 3 pm if you feel that room is not ready but allow us to do the paperwork and other formalities as soon as we get in. I have to come back again at 3pm just to do the paperwork.
7,1 Good
Pros: The hotel is perfectly located if you travel by JR train and local bus. Breakfast is good.
Cons: The room is too small considering the price.
8,8 Excellent
