Close to bus terminal and train.
There was only one bath towel when we arrived.
Location is good. It is a Premier Inn and hence no surprises. Clean and fresh and comfortable
Kendal was not a nice area.
The breakfast was excellent except for Fri as there were loads of bikers in and food had to be spread out. The room was comfortable with air con as my room 212 was the only room on my floor which a window can't be opened. The cleaners did a good job even changed the sheets on the last night. The facilities were top notch for a Premier Inn as I've travelled in Premier Inn hotels from Truro to Inverness. There were a lot of lights in my room and three switches by my bed.
The mirror in the room by the door did not have a light and it was dark considering there were plenty of light elsewhere. There was a crack in the bath tile. The toilet roll dispenser was not filled up so a loo roll was left. Otherwise excellent service.
Efficient and friendly receptionist. Clean room. Receptionist found a heater and kindly brought it to the room when central heating failed.
Heating system which didn’t work. Not enough towels or toiletries. Parking is difficult but at £5 a day not prohibitively expensive. Window is fixed so no fresh air.
Good sized room and en-suite, comfy bed, very good breakfast.
Public areas could be cleaner - carpet in bar/dining area looked like it hadn't been vacuumed since the previous evening.
Get a breath of fresh air with Premier Inn Hotel Kendal Central, right next to the spectacular scenery of the Lake District and Grizedale Forest. And with great transport links to nearby business and leisure attractions, you'll soon find there's more to Kendal than mint cake. Step back in time at Kendal Castle. Stomp up a high fell in the Lake District. Stroll around Sizergh Castle Gardens, or settle down for a story at the World of Beatrix Potter. Then come back for a tasty meal in our restaurant, and a great night's sleep in your comfy bed.
