This is hard to blame Sixt for but the entrance for drop off was across the street from where we picked up the car and was not well sign-posted for the direction we entered the area. We got stuck in the employee entrance and had to escape before getting across the street to the right entrance. The Sixt employees, when we finally found them, were great. Very helpful. The email support I received was also very quick and helpful.

Very unhappy with Hassan at the pick up. I am used to car rental agents trying to sell you all kind of upgrades etc, but 1st he tried to scare us about the tires, saying they were summer tires when the sign clearly said “all weather tire”. When it came to paying he quoted me the amount in US dollars and told me to pick my currency at the pay pad- of course one picks the currency familiar with and the one that got quoted. At the moment I had picked US the rate jumped up quite considerably. When I asked him about that, he said I should have picked danish crowns. He hadn’t mentioned anything about a fee for choosing US dollars. We have traveled a lot in Europe and I have never experienced being charged an additional fee , and a quite hefty one. When I asked him to cancel and let me redo, he insisted he couldn’t do that. He said if he would do it we would have to wait until the next day to rent the car. If Sixt charges such a high fee the representative should make customers aware of it prior to choosing. Makes you feel taken advantage off. Also, our car did not have an ice scraper so we had to buy our own. Small thing, but I was already quite upset about the whole fee thing, I still am almost 3 weeks later

Flex To Go completely exceeded my expectations! The car was brand new, spotlessly clean and gleaming like it had just come out of the showroom. I was especially impressed by the friendly guy in the handover zone — he polished the cars with so much passion that it felt like a scene from a retro New York movie. You rarely see that kind of dedication these days! The whole process was extremely pleasant: fully digital check-in and return with zero waiting time and no queues. From the arrivals area at Copenhagen Airport it was the shortest walk to a rental car I’ve ever experienced. The price was really fair and attractive, and there were even delicious sweets waiting inside the car as a nice surprise. On top of that, we got a free upgrade with better equipment and a great sound system — simply top-notch! Everything ran smoothly and professionally. I really can’t imagine what could have been better. The only wish left is that this kind of service would also be available for long-term rentals or mini-leasing. Absolutely recommendable!

We did not pick up the car. There was a problem with the license because it was in greek and not international. Fair enough but we have sent the license (full copy) to Hertz two weeks before the rental and they reported no problem. At the rental deskWe requested then for the second driver who holds an international license to be the main driver. The reply was no because the car was rent through booking.com and not directly through Hertz. They offered the alternative to rent the car directly through Hertz at a cost of 920 euro (triple the cost of the boking.com / kayak rental). We refused. We had a penalty from booking.com for not hiring the car. In simple words Our holiday was totally ruined. Never again
