Big rooms for Japan with the Japan Times delivered to the door every morning. Cons: One of the staff member was abrupt (in a polite Japanese way) about not being able to check in before 3 pm. That said they stored our luggage and helped us with directions to tour the city while we waited for check in.

Pros: Great location 5min walk from Kanazawa train station & JR bus stop. The room was decent size for 2 adults & extra pillows delivered quickly when requested. Excellent value for money with onsens available for use & free drinks & snacks in the dining room 7-9pm plus ramen late evening. Laundry also onsite, free washing machine and ¥100 for 20min in dryer, 1hr in dryer sufficient. Walking distance to good restaurants in the evenings. We would stay again.

Pros: We have stayed at this hotel on several previous occasions and have always enjoyed it. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. This hotel is located within easy walking distance from the train station and bus depot. We always enjoy their Yonaki Soba in the evening and the breakfast buffet in the morning. We enjoyed a great room for a very reasonable price.

Cons: The only not I have about it is that the cool stuff was a 15 minute walk (at least) away, which is super close when you think about it, but "popping back to the hotel to get changed for dinner, for example, was an hour … I had only 2 days in town, and I was trying to get everything in.
Frankly, this is hardly a problem; it is merely the thing I was least keen about.

There are several bars and eateries nearby although some were closed on Sunday, the day we were there. The hotel is on a main street with a number of high end shops. Nearer to the Garden there are several art galleries and up market artisan souvenir shops.

Pros: Wonderful onsen, very clean and also they have a part of outdoor onsen. Location is not too far from center of city. you can walk around 10-15min to Kanazawa train station. Accommodation price was comparable cheap. Near 7-11 you can walk 3-5min to 7-11.

Cons: Room very small as normally of business hotel in Japan. We can not open two 28 inch suitcase in the same time because it will block rest room door. Bed was very small.

Pros: Location is super good! Next to Kanazawa Stn. Close to the Hokuriku Shinkansen stn., Bus terminal and large shopping malls. And this hotel is very clean and good facilities. Also large public bath of this hotel is amazing. There’s have outdoor bath too. I suggest this hotel for people who just sleep. I think it will match those who do not need luxury dishes and high quality service.

Pros: Like all hotels not only in Japan but in my experience around the world price definitely has a factor. If one budget allows for $250+ a night everything is always fine. In my typical price range of $75 to $125 you are naturally going to get older a bit worn with a smaller floor plans. Its a reality and I don't necessary consider it a complainable negative.

Cons: I didn't take the reviews metioning this seriously, but the rooms are actually tiny even for Japanese standards. It is impossible to pass each other and there's literally zero space for luggage. The bathroom was also not as clean as I expect from a hotel of this price class.

Pros: Our room (double bed) was one of the largest spaces I have stayed at in Japan. The bed was comfy and the sheets were nice and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful and spoke great English. The location is superb- centrally located in the heart of Kanazawa and is walking distance to sites such as Kenroku-en and 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art as well as some great dining options as well.

Cons: The bathroom was not very well lit- decor of the bathroom is old and there is not adequate lighting (lighting is deep yellow toned and the walls are deep pink) so it was a bit hard to see or spend a lot of time in there. The room had a great mirror vanity, so that made up for this fact.
