Pros: The location is good and convenience.
Cons: I think I could hear noises from other rooms a lot compared to the similar level of hotel.
7,9 Good
Pros: The location. Close to everything
Cons: The rooms were too small to accommodate 3 people. Book 2 rooms instead if you are traveling with 3 people.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is perfectly located next to Futuran Food Village.
Cons: Lobby area is a little compact
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Really enjoyable stay for one night. Plenty of room for me to layout my luggage and reorganize it, while still being comfortable. The location was also fantastic considering I had to go to the airport and the bus terminal was no more than a 5-minute walk away.
Cons: N/A
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very close to the JR Kagoshima Chuo train station underground entrance and practically next to the Furusato Food village (25 cosy food stalls). Aeon shopping centre was a couple of doors down, handy for snacks and ice cream.
Cons: The room was a bit too warm for our liking. The air conditioner only seemed to be a heater (we visited in the winter) which we turned off as it was too hot. Even with it off, it was warm. I was given a small desk fan to use and told to turn on the air purifier. That was enough to sleep, but did make it a bit noisy and bright (what with all the led lights on the machine).

Pros: The best about the hotel was it‘s central location.

Cons: Nil
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious and clean, and staff was helpful in my using the internet. Location in the train station was very convenient.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is an excellent choice if you arrive by train. It is just a couple of minutes from the JR arrivals hall. There is a information kiosk close by which made it really easy to plan activities in Kagoshima. Our room was a reasonable size for a Japanese hotel. The location is great for shopping and eating too. Kagoshima was a surprisingly interesting city with a key role inJapan’s modern history. This hotel is an excellent base for exploration.
Cons: It is just a hotel room, no great atmosphere about it (but the location is great). Breakfast was fairly average although perfectly adequate.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast has a wide variety of selections. The location is excellent with entrance right at JR station.
Cons: The room is a bit small for two. There is not enough space for big luggages.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very central location right on top of the train station and multiple big shopping malls reachable without going outside. There are ranges of restaurants, shops and activities to be found and the hotel is relatively close to central Kagoshima, hence trips to the city or further North / South are very easy. Parking is available at a discount and if you need to take the train there couldn't be a better location. Though the rooms are not very big, the separate shower and annex bathroom were largely sufficient for a family of 4. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but chose some of the excellent bakeries in the shopping mall which the hotel is attached to.
Cons: Parking indications are not obvious, so if you're new in the area it's good to get that simple map how to reach the parking from the front desk sent to you in advance. Rooms are relatively small (but the bathroom with separate shower room are sufficient in size)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: 1. Love the location. It is within the train station. 2. The room are super clean and neat 3. Good value for money too. 4. Check in staff are very friendly and check in procedure are so efficient.
Cons: There is nothing that I could fault on.

3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The only thing we enjoyed about this hotel was its location, just 15min away from the ports, and within walking distance from plenty of restaurants.
Cons: - The smoking smell everywhere in the hotel, INCLUDING inside our NON SMOKER room. It is disgusting. - The complete mess we saw in the corridors in the middle of the day. - The room was not properly clean. - The staff can barely speak English.

Pros: Great location, bed is comfortable, nice staff

Pros: Shopping centre and outlet beside hotel

Pros: the shuttle bus arrangement if it can also provide in the morning from Station to hotel is much more better, actually it is very good in such arrangements. The location is fine (not too far from the station and shopping centre), and there are shopping mall in short distance too.The view in onsen is very good. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Cons: The pillow is too high and hard (the other one is so soft and low.

Pros: The view was phenomenal. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The beds were also very comfy. Great value too!!! Will definitely stay here again if we make it back to Kagoshima.
Cons: It was a little out of the way but their bus is super easy to use. Just make sure you keep a close eye on the bus timings.
7,0 Good
Pros: location is very good with a good view. the onsen is pretty good too
Cons: the decor is a bit old.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and just outside the hotel were various restaurants to choose from for the evening meal.
Cons: The room was much smaller that it looked in the pictures and the beds were like rock. The onsen was basic but was located on the 13th floor so you should have had a good view of Sakurajima except it is pitch black at night and covered in fog during the day ! Being an extensive traveler in Japan, I don't think we got value for money.

Pros: This is my 2nd stay within a 10 days japan trip. It’s in good location.
Cons: I gave a bit lower score than last time because there is a bulk head in the shower room despite our room in fact a bigger than last time under the same room type. I think for those taller than 5’, you would unavoidably hitting it while you are taking shower. And i found the lid of the shampoo container cannot be closed. Just got a feeling that the overall hygiene is not as good as last time but still I think it’s value for money.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I love everything about this hostel. The staffs were so helpful, (i still remember at one time, my luggage cannot open cause i lost the key in the middle of the night. So i asked the staff for lend me a tools like a screw driver. Even though the staff cannot understand me fully but i looked him and saw him trying to take out any possible tools that can help me open my luggage. The staffs were also kind, polite and respectfull when handling guest issues. (I also remembered, after my check out time, they allow us to keep our luggage in the hotel, and meanwhile my friend and i do walk around the town. In addition, they also allow me to perform prayer in their place (at cafe). My friend and i were so touched! Thank you. The location is strategic and also near the tram station. You guys should book this hostel with no regret! Believe me!

Pros: Location and view were amazing. Huge property under construction. Breakfast was excellent!
7,0 Good
Pros: must try hotel breakfast, thought a bit expensive, it worth! if you wake up early, you can see beautiful sunrise~
Cons: a little unknown smell in the room, not bad smell, just we did not use to.
7,9 Good
Pros: Outdoor onsen is amazing, you can see Sakurajima Volcano while you are in outdoor onsen.
Cons: The location not in the city center
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Incredible service. Shuttle bus to JR, to bus stop, to Temonkan (shopping street) depart 2 times each hour. There is small gift from front desk, a handsome guy help to take luggage to room. The lights are so bright in the evening, plays Maroon 5 songs, men are in suits, service are so gentle. I just feel I am in the movie Midnight in Shiroyama. Haha The onsen is amazing. The space is so large, the outdoor onsen has terrific scenery. Shampoo and conditioner are really good.
3,1 Mediocre
Pros: The restaurants that we tried, Tempura Keiten and Sushitei Sakura, as well as Bakery Shiroyama were all excellent. The staff in all were great and the food was outstanding. The tempura was some of the best we had in Japan and the sushi was actually the best meal we had while in Japan. We liked the sushi place so much we went twice. The bakery has some really delicious breads, particularly the maple flavoured loaves, that we actually ended up getting every day for breakfast so that we could avoid going to the repulsive breakfast buffet. The shuttle bus makes it reasonable to stay here because the hotel is located on top of a hill that would make it difficult to get to without the shuttle bus. The shuttle bus makes several stops around Kagoshima allowing you to get to the main tourist and shopping areas pretty easily. Though it does take about 30 minutes to get from the hotel to the last stop by the ferry terminal.
Cons: The hotel is sorely in need of a major refurbishment and cleaning. Our room had a very uncomfortable bed that was lumpy and kept me awake more than asleep. The bathroom was actually dirty with hard water deposits and long term grunginess in the shower. The rug was similarly unpleasantly in need of a cleaning, as well. I was actually surprised by how unclean and run down the room was after reading some of the other reviews. The breakfast buffet was horrible, with Western food consisting of nothing but cold egg dishes (and not purposely cold). Sadly, even the Japanese items on the buffet were not well prepared. It all looked like leftovers from the night before. We ended up trying it twice and gave up in disgust and just started getting items from the bakery for breakfast every day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: On top of the hill, inside forest, which provides fresh air and great views. Family Mart inside, but you would need to clear about the map of the hotel, especially the three elevators and place accordingly. Comfortable hot spring, convenient shuttle bus to most of the sites for guests.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: overlooking the city and the volcano, spectacular view. shuttle to the city or a nice walk to the center. great onsen with all you need. great restaurants, the japanese one was a highlight!
Cons: big convention hotel, reception looks like a train station in switzerland, but it’s still a very good choice.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The space of family room is very comfortable for 4 adults. Everyone has separate beds and can get really goo rests.
Cons: The hotel is under construction so the traffic flow is a little strange but you can get used to it at 2nd day.

7,0 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is fantastic, being within walking distance of the tram, airport shuttle, and city view bus. Tenmonkan is a lively area with lots of shopping arcades and restaurants/bars. The room is stylish, comfortable, and well-designed given the space limitations. The bed is extremely comfortable! I appreciated the wide array of complimentary teas at reception.
Cons: Noisy!! The sounds of people talking and opening/closing doors are amplified because of lack of carpeting in hallways. Also, cleaning starts early (8:00) and once again is loud, making it difficult for people to sleep in.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Impressed with its cleanliness. I stayed there for 2 nights and felt so comfortable and relaxed while I was in the room. I liked its bed mattress and pillows the most! It’s a magic I was able to fall a sleep right away and had deep sleep.

5,0 Okay
Pros: Low price compared with hotels near by.
Cons: I got a phone call from the hotel at 7pm without any message, on the day I checked in . When I checked in, the staff said that they wanted to check what time I check in. It was annoying to me. No greetings from any of the staff while I was going in and out of the hotel.
