Top Class Hotel within lovely setting, very comfortable with top quality food and service.
The Chateau and grounds were gorgeous and we felt like we had been transported to another world. We stayed in the pavillion which was not inside the chateau itself, but an adjoining building about a 1 minute walk from it. We ate in the restaurant and had some lovely food there, skilfully prepared local treats.
Although our room was very nice, it would have been nicer to stay in the chateau itself. Isnt that why you stay in a chateau? If you read this and plan to stay there, then make sure you get a room in the chateau itself and not the pavillion. The rooms were the same price anyway, so I wish id realized earlier and I would have made sure to ask!
Peaceful setting. Food not as good as we had on a previous visit. Room was on small side but very clean and comfortable.
Beautiful setting, very quiet, best restaurant in comparison with eight others of similar standing tried during the week. Good quality overall and reasonably priced.
receptionist is rather cold, which contrasts with the friendly staff at the restaurant
The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning gave us an excellent nights sleep. The chateau is beautiful from the outside in a lovely peaceful locaton. Good, safe parking.
The room was very disappointing. We expected a lovely, luxury room like the pictures but we were in the pavilion which was seperate from the main house. The room, especially the bathroom, smelt funny and the bed-spread was clearly dirty. The decor was very tired and not what you'd expect from a quite expensive chateau. The gardens were immaculately maintained and the main chateau looked beautiful but our room was very disappointing especially as we'd booked it for the last night of our holiday as a treat and some of our less expensive hotels had offered a lot more and been a lot cleaner.
