Pros: Asian hospitality at its finest. Staff was very courteous and efficient. Concierge was quite helpful, recommending tours we could take, places we could visit, booking transfers. Breakfast at Signatures was also pleasant albeit somewhat chaotic due mainly to its popularity among hotel guests and locals alike. I would've wanted it to have more real estate so it doesnt feel too cramped. Food was an interesting mix of both local and continental cuisine. Staff was also efficient and hospitable.

Cons: If I had to pick my least favourite bit, it would have to be the sorry looking throw pillows in front of the reception desk. It looks like its seen better days. Also, we had to wait a couple of minutes before a table was available at Signatures for Sunday breakfast. No biggie, I just remember thinking it would've been good to open an extension for the hotel guests so they didnt have to wait around.

Cons: The room I was checked in at the first time, again it had the irritating smell that made me felt hard to breath and my lungs were burning, but as soon as I walked out of the room, I didn't feel any pain at my chest. I started to worry at one point that I might have lung problem, since I experienced the same problem previous night at an airport hotel upon landing. So I talked to the front desk and they gave me another room at different floor, there was no those smells and I didn't feel any uncomfortable. Later on the front desk told me that some nearby rooms were under renovation, it might be caused by the paint, they claimed they were not noticed of the renovation.

Cons: I could have sworn that I booked and paid for a room with breakfast but was informed that my booking came without breakfast. Not wanting to cause a fuss, I just paid for the breakfast anyway. Having said that (and to be fair to the hotel), perhaps there was a mistake when I made my online booking but if someone can verify that, great. Room was great but the bed was a bit too hard for my liking.

Pros: The room is so specious and clean.. I love the great team who are working in the property. ALL OF THE THEM. I had a little tiny issue at the room. After a while, I found Ms. Shendy Pratama (Reception Manager) knocking my room to express the management apologies for any inconvenience. Honestly I was so surprised because the case was nothing deserved all this. The love story on this hotel is the restaurant in the ground floor.... I need to cancel all my reservations with outside restaurants to enjoy the open buffet in the hotel...each night I was at the open buffet. The food and the varieties are really amazing. And before I leave, Ms. Rani (receptionist) Came to our room and afforded us a complimentary chocolate cake. Mandarin Oriental Group must be so proud of their beautiful staff at Jakarta Branch.

Pros: Room (amenities, view, cleanliness) and staff (early check in offer, helpful, friendly and great service). Unforgetattable birthday surprise for my wife... Room upgrade arrangement and decoration, short clip, birthday cake... My wife was very happy. She liked the complementary massage as well. Really appreciate it. Good selection for breakfast as well. It's really pleasant stay for my family though it was a short stay.

Pros: The Mandarin Oriental was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. We only stayed one night en route between Borneo and Flores. They picked up that I had booked 2 rooms but only used one name and alerted me that there may have been a duplicate. When I confirmed we were indeed 2 couples, they offered to arrange transfers to and from the airport. They organized these perfectly. They even picked up that we were arriving a few hours earlier due to flight changes. We were met by 2 representatives of the taxi company before we even reached the luggage pick up. When we arrived they were literarily waiting at the entrance and knew who we were. They even upgraded us to better suites. We had arrived from Borneo with damp and moldy clothes, which they washed overnight and returned by 07:30 in time for us to pack. The concierge was amazing, made dinner reservations and went to so much trouble to find out about where we could buy alcohol. When we arrived at the Sky Bar for dinner, we were escorted through a full restaurant to the best seating in the house. Afterwards we were given a prime position at the open bar area, a seating seemingly reserved for special guests. I believe this concierge made this happen. When we got back, we entered the gorgeous suite to find a spectacular turned room with cables rolled up and tied with their branded Velcro strap, etc. All our goodies standing around in die bathroom were neatly positioned on white linen cloths. Our laundry was returned folded and wrapped or neatly hanging, all perfectly ironed. The location is stunning in terms of being in the centre of the shopping district. The Grand Mall is basically opposite the hotel.

Pros: I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights to catch up with my Indonesian friend in Jakarta. The room was very comfortable with the great view of the monument. Also WiFi was provided for free. Sauna and swimming pool were good too as nobody was there. It was very private. All the staff I met were very polite and friendly especially at Cinnamon! Yoga, Anita and other members welcomed us each morning with great hospitality. Lukito made different kinds of smoothie each day to surprise us. On the last day they gave us the heart warming message card with a small gift which I will never forget. Thank you Cinnamon team. I am so glad that I chose this hotel, my friend and I had a great time to catch up in such a luxurious environment. Now I know why this hotel has got a high rating. My stay was more than I had expected.

There was a day that I was not feeling well because of a headache and she offered the concoction of herbal drinks. We had great conversations almost daily and that made me feel at home from a place away from home. Please extend my sincere thanks to Kartini. She is truly one of your best people. This is not only for my personal experience but even for other guests she would serve and look after.

Cons: The morning that we stayed the service at breakfast lounge, was not as prompt as service in the club lounge, i.e. We said it was for table for 8 and they escorted us to a table set for only 4 people, we had to ask more than 2 times and actualy setting the table ourselves by using cutlery set from empty table around us, but understandably it might be due to low number of morning shift staff, overall it was still a good experience

Front desk, staff, large rooms & I like the walk-in-closet as well as the bathroom. Sauna & Whirpool facilities are great, although joining the gym, it's not crowded. Cons: The payment process is very very painful. This is my second visit here and the payment is always a problem. I need to pay twice just because they can't educate the customers and process the payment correctly. And they promised that they will refund me within 14 working days but there's no update at all or any initiative to tell me about the progress.

Cons: On checking in we enquired about a smoking area and were told that the only place to smoke was out front by a bin/ashtray. On leaving I pointed out the fact that there were no seats here for smokers and suggested that a small seated area would have made the stay more comfortable. I was then informed that there was in fact a bar at one end of the hotel beside our lift where we could have smoked rather than going outside. No member of staff bothered to suggest this to us during our stay and we had been told on checking in that there was no such place. Having to stay outside and stand having a cigarette was very annoying considering we had to be security checked coming in every time even though we were 20 feet away from them when out. Management should get their staff trained to know about all facilities the hotel has to offer.

Pros: Very good hotel with excellent services starting from Ms Erica at reception who really managed the successful check-in including duty manager at that time. Very good room services from Mr. Adang and Mr. Tria. In addition, very good treatment received from whole cheerful staff in the business lounge. Overall, all staff met them during my stay found to be cheerful and very helpful.
