The layout of the room with beds for the kids rather than sofa beds. The breakfast and the lady serving.
Our room was a bit out of the way in the lodge.
Beds were comfortable. Breakfast nice. Quiet location with good access to A12.
Bathroom in need of repair (bath damaged, towel rail falling off). Beds not made very well. Family rooms in separate lodge building that was next to main function suite where am event was on until 0100 with music played at a level where you could clearly hear song lyrics in our room. Hotel restaurant taken over by event resulting in having to have dinner in busy bar area with not very comfortable tables. Food expensive and over seasoned. Toilet roll was cheap single ply. Bin liners were too small for the bins. Reception not very helpful when arriving at ~1945 to check in with children.
The room was large and in excellent condition. We didn’t use the restaurant. The bar stocked a good variety of drinks.
Lovely place to stay. Staff very helpful
Room was a bit too warm and couldn’t find thermostat so opened window
I have stayed here on many occasions. The property is very well priced and the bedrooms are generally bigger than usual and clean. There is normally a nice addition of hot chocolate and biscuits in the room and the room coffee isn’t too bad. Breakfast can be well priced but the quality is very variable.
I decided to bid for an upgrade from a twin superior room to an executive double and was successful. However, the accommodation ( 304 )for the upgrade was not as good as the superior twin. It was situated in the old part of the house and the floor is very creaky. The bed was very small, the toilet seat kept falling down and there was less seating and desk space for which I paid extra. Next time I will remain happy with my lot!
