Absolutely love this pub. There are three pubs in the village that have hotel rooms, we scoped all three out when we arrived and came to the conclusion we had definitely chosen the nicest. Food was so good Friday night we stayed in and ate here again on Saturday night.Beautiful part of the world.
Slightly pricey overall but it seems that it's in line with everything else in this area and rooms not enormous but again not possible to have enormous rooms in an old pub.
Nice comfortable rooms and bar
Everything about the property was superb
I cannot think of anything
Room was nice although smaller than expected. Unfortunately the bathroom smelt a little of vomit and the bedroom window rattled all night with the wind so we had a bad night sleep. The staff were completely unresponsive when we reported this while paying the bill which was a little disappointing. I suspected they thought we were trying to get money off, which wasn’t the case. Other than that the staff were nice and the food was excellent
The hotel had a great atmosphere and delicious food. A great location for walking the north norfolk beaches too!
The room was quite small but very comfortable.
Every now and then we want to open the perfect pub – preferably on the coast, with help-yourself sloe gin, heart-and-hearth-warming hospitality and characterful, historic architecture. The Chequers Inn beat us to it. Rooms make the most of the building’s birthday (1499), with nooks and crannies a-go-go; crackling fires, freestanding bath tubs, winsome views and blissful king-size beds complete the rural idyll. It would be rude and remiss not to mention the totally brilliant chef, who captures the taste of Norfolk in the restaurant. Got a dog? Bring them too. (You’ll be in the dog-house forever, otherwise.)
