Pros: Quiet place, comfortable room, nice foods. The room I stayed was one without sea view, but was not bad at all. If you just want to stay relax on a bed near a pool with your favorite books and nice cocktails, it's perfectly fine. The staff were very kind to us (me and my parents) and always helpful. They provided a free tuktuk to the central bar area but you can also walk because it took just 15 min or so on foot.

Pros: Extremely friendly staff, the hotel was beautiful . Relaxed colonial style with stunning garden and grounds. We upgraded to Villa with club facilities which is particularly good value . Even without different room you can have club facility for extra 1500bhat which is good for snacks during day, afternoon tea and drinks.

Pros: The graciousness of the staff at the hotel makes this one of Thailand's most relaxing destinations. The large surrounding grounds are magnificent, tended carefully for over 80 years. A low rise development, you are close to the beach and town. The rooms are very well appointed, roomy and air conditioned - and the balconies have great views. The resorts' Sala Thai and Japanese restaurants have great food at reasonable prices, although you can walk into town - 2 mins - to choose other places if you like.

Pros: The resort is beautiful with a tropical garden. We stayed in a suite and found it quite luxurious with a kingsize bed and a large bathroom which came with a outdoor shower. Breakfast was great and so was the restaurant. The pool is enormous and the resort is right at the beach with its own private beach under the palm trees.

Pros: for three days and two nights that i stayed at this hotel.everything that i done example go to have breakfast,have snack,go to library and go to swim i walk by myself for far distance the hotel have co-cart car but it used for convenience of the hotel staff it not used for service the guest even guest is a fat woman or kid.no greeting from hotel staff.and no information from the hotel that you have snack and drink served at 14:00-15:00pm. on the first day that i check in i don't know.i drive to the hua-hin market to take a cup of coffee on that time.and absolutely this hotel is very bad service.if you have time.please kindly observe putahraksa hotel all service is very good.thank you and i think this hotel is the first and last time for me.

Pros: Returned to the Kiang Haad in September for the second time in 15 months
The hotel has changed hands from De Varee and has very slightly dropped standard
Staff and hotel remain excellent and the position perfect for beach and local amenities
It’s far enough from town to be peaceful yet close enough to enjoy the bars and night market (short Tuk Tuk trip)
Food and drink remain excellent and competitive with local priced, however the hotel would benefit from longer opening times for the bar (plus some more seating) as you have to go to town if you want a beer beyond 10pm
The hotel setup and room haven’t changed since our first visit, but a few things have:
1. Room Service isn’t visible and looks to have been withdrawn
2. Towels are no longer at the pool and provided in a beach bag in the room (nice touch), but there wasn’t any offer of exchange for clean towels while we were there
3. The offer of discount on food and non alcoholic drinks wasn’t automatically discounted on check out
Overall the hotel remains excellent and despite a few changes since it changed hand I would return again and recommend to others
