Positives: The location of the hotel was perfect! We were close to downtown but far enough away that we didn’t have to deal with heavy traffic much. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. And the digital key was super handy! Negatives: We could hear everything happening in the hallways. There did not seem to be any sound insulation. There seemed to be a constant flow of loud people every night (1am-3am). We could also hear the toilets flush in other rooms. We didn’t sleep too well because of all the noise. There was loud construction noises that started at 7am on a Friday morning. It woke us up that day. The shower just never quite warmed up. And there was no fridge. For the price we paid, I expected a better experience.
Pros. Room, bed.
Cons. The heat did not work at all and it was a iffy cold night in Houston. Also the water was brown (probably rust) in the sink, toilet & shower.
