The room itself, very nice the set up.
Honestly there isnt anything that sticks out that I enjoyed.
My room got changed without me knowing, booked a king room and got double beds and I had no idea until I showed up to check in. I felt very uncomfortable there and with the wildly expensive rooms I'm extremely dissapointed in the service and the lack of things that should have been included in the stay there. I mean come on even a free drink or SOMETHING would have been nice. Spent almost 1000 bucks for two nights, wanted the end of our trip to be a nice relaxing few days at the hotel and some spa stuff and we had to leave because we hated being at that hotel. We were so excited to read online that theres a spa and jacuzzi. Couldn't use anything unless it was paid for and it was sooo overpriced too-go figure. We got a couple reflexology massages and 300 bucks later. The reflexology message is half a foot message, no pressure, and didnt go above the ankle. I asked the guy up front and he said it was a leg massage, we went on a crazy hike the day before so we were hoping to get some relief from that and there is no way that "massage" was worth 150 bucks! The jacuzzi and sauna is off limits unless you spend money and get something done at the spa, and it closes at 10, not even open for the guests to use at their leisure with a key card or something. And not to mention that when we were walking back into the hotel to go to our room, we got chased down by a security guard telling us we need to show him our room key. I'm guessing it's because we looked like we didnt belong, we are in our 20s and he probably assumed we couldn't afford to stay there so he felt we needed to be stopped. We walked to the elevator where he stood at the end of the hallway and watched us go in, probably to see what floor we were going to. I am so disappointed and now out so much money. I've only written one other bad review and that was a few years ago, I'm not one to usually do this but the experience was just awful I had to say something.
Did not breakfast there.
Did not have expectations unmet.
The apartments are very spacious and the view (we had an ocean view room) is very nice. The beach is great for kids and adults. There are 3 pools, all of them are very nice and an extra one for adults only. On Friday night there are fireworks. And a nice little convenient store inside the tower were we staid was really convenient.
The check in was not really welcoming and informative.
Beds were very comfortable, sofa was also quiet comfortable. Kitchen setting including room layout superb.
Staff is really sloppy and poor when in comes to customer service, is like doing a job that they can’t be bother to do. The reception (welcome) if I could rate it was -10, very bad without any care. No one cared to tell you what is available for the residence... poor service from start to end... although the guy for the checkout was really polite. Overall cleanliness is poor particularly when I have stayed at the Grand Islander where absolutely everything was spotless and the staff wonderful and so pleasant.
