Pros (+) The staff was awesome! I have stayed here in the past and this trip showed exceptional service. The last time I saw this level of service was when I stayed at Four Seasons. The hotel was great and would always keep this an option for future travel.

Cons (-) Kind of old but it's been refurbished, one main pool which is small. Pool bar closes too early. Overpriced for what you get.

Pros (+) Room was good and clean, on par with the Marriott properties (Courtyard, Fairfield, Springhill, etc) we normally stay at. We didn't make much use of the resort amenities, but the grounds were well-kept.

Pros (+) Well decorated.
Cons (-) Cleaning staff was consistently disappointing. Once they took our towels and forgot to give us any new towels and once the room looked barely touched. Everyday they were bad about coming before 8 am and coming back during the four hour Windows we provided.

Pros (+) The resort is in the Shipyard Community (gated with security and includes golf courses and the Van Der Meer Tennis Center) and has direct beach access. The rooms were newly renovated and the grounds were immaculate. The staff was top-notch--very helpful and professional from the check-in clerks to the cleaning staff.
Cons (-) We were surprised when our parking lot view room was actually a view of the roof of part of the resort. Not a huge problem, but still... Also, the beach entrance for the resort is connected to the beach club access for the larger Shipyard communnity. This was only a problem because the beach area just outside the resort tended to be quite crowded. However, everyone was nice and we had a great time...
