The manager of hertz,Latham n.y. Realized that the truck we had reserved was totally inappropriate for our needs and abilities and replaced it, when there really was nothing available, with a far more appropriate car. Thank you to him. We would have been quite unhappy with the truck.Reviewed Jul 9 2022

Pros:East pick-up and drop-off, friendly staff.Cons:Car was smaller then expected and looked like it hasn't been cleaned before I picked it up. Asking for a credit card to rent or running a credit checked seemed excessive to rent a vehicle.Reviewed Apr 23 2019

Pros:I liked the vehicle. But what I really liked was that they voluntarily shaved some off the final bill because I had used so little fuel. I had prepaid for gas so I wouldn't have to find a gas station when I returned the car.Cons:The wait at the counter was long, about 20 minutes.Reviewed Jan 30 2017

Watch out for insurance scam via KayakPros:Car was fineCons:Watch out ordering the insurance coverage. Ordered insurance because we were traveling in a large Urban area. Arrived to get car and they insisted that no insurance was ordered. So added it. Come to find out the insurance via Kayak is via a 3rd party, so they sell you the insurance again at the counter. So I got double charged for the insurance. WATCH OUT FOR THIS!!Reviewed Oct 23 2016
