Pros: Didn't have to deal with going inside to drop off vehicle on Sunday
Cons: The interior of the building is filthy, rodent traps and dirt everywhere. Employees taking zero covid precautions, no masks, no distancing. I prepaid an 8 day rental months in advance but since my card had been updated in the meantime they couldn't just use the new one for incidentals. The emploees at the store couldn't make any changes so they told me to call hertz customer service and just have the card changed on the reservation. The first call I made, they said the reservation had to be canceled and refunded, and a new reservation had to be made but the rate would go up and they couldn't guarantee the vehicle would be available (?!?!?!). Three calls later and an hour later it was straightened out. No one was even slightly apologetic. I asked what cleaning or sanitation was being done to the vehicles because of covid. He said "They gave us some spray stuff to use". The car was absolutely not cleaned, it had dirt on the back sear and someones used chapstick in the center console. I will NEVER rent from Hertz again. No wonder they're going bankrupt.
Cons: At drop-off, there is a sign that the key box that it would be pro-rated until next business day that was NOT informed when I picked it up. I really hope they don’t charge me extra days... I returned the car an hour earlier to what I said I would...
Pros: I can’t honestly comment because we got there and they told us they were booked up for the next week. “You can pretty much book at anytime but it doesn’t mean we’ll have a car for you. The system allows for overbooking.” So we walked down the street and paid an extra $100 for one day.
Cons: Honestly everything could have been better.

Pros: on the way to Chattanooga we discovered that the driver side window wouldn't go back up after it was lowered. this was in the wind and the rain. your 1-800 number advised us to go to the Chattanooga airport and we received an exchange car with no problem. That was handled very well, and we appreciate it.
Cons: Replacement Chevy Equinox smelled a little musty, but no big problem.
Pros: The price was a good value. The rep in Gainesville worked with me to get a drop off office closer to my final destination.
Cons: The front wheels pulled to the right and bounced when driving over 55 mph. Also there was a light scrubbing noise coming from the front driver's side wheel.

Rental location on kayak didn't exist.
Pros: When I eventually found a car rental place the car and service were good.
Cons: When I reserved on kayak it told me that the pickup was at an aviation center in Gainesville, Ga. When I arrived there there was no Hertz, and the airport workers had no idea why kayak would have sent me there. The real Hertz in Gainesville had closed hours before, so I had to travel 2 hours farther to find a rental car. Pretty unacceptable service from Kayak.
