Pros: I have submitted various reviews for this hotel as have stayed there several times. It is good value and probably under rated as a 3 star. This us first time we ate dinner in the hotel due to wet weather stopping us from eating out but it was quite good. We opted for the 15 euro buffet plus a bottle of wine. This is best hotel of it's kind in Guarda.
Cons: I wish staff would be more welcoming! A cheery smile would do wonders!

Pros: The room and breakfast were good as was the general cleanliness of the hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The evening meal in the restaurant was a real disappointment and certainly didn't reflect the generally good standard of the hotel. We complained to the waiter, who apologised and offered us an alternative, which we declined. Would not recommend eating the evening meal there.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Family run hotel who couldn’t do enough for you. Beautiful hotel and rooms. Spotlessly clean and stunning decor in the bedroom we were allocated. Lovely breakfast in the cafe next door, run and owned by the owners. Really comfy beds. Parking is in the buildings own courtyard.
Cons: Just be aware that the hotel is on top of the hill next to the cathedral. Quite a steep treck on a motorbike up cobbled streets. Would be fine by car. And access to the hotel rooms were by a flight of very high steps. Think an older couple or people with a disability would find it difficult. Unless they have a different access to accommodate people with difficulties walking.

Pros: A lovely room in a lovely old house next to the cathedral and main square. The host has little English but it works! Breakfast is in the cafe next door and pretty basic, but ok. There’s a fabulous Winebar a few doors down that is well worth a visit for tasting and restaurant recommendations.

Pros: Breakfast was fine in the tea shop next door. Our only mistake was thinking 'English Tea Shop' means have an English cup of tea which was not like we have at home. Our own fault!
Cons: The car park is made up of very old stone which means it's uneven. Perfectly OK for any normal car but need to exercise caution with anything low. Guarda is a a difficult place to navigate and it's very easy to take a wrong turn and then you can be in difficulties.
