Tried to rent a large vehicle for a family vacation to great wolf lodge. Booked the reservation with my debit card, took a $30 Lyft to pick up the car to have the unbelievably rude employee tell me that I have to have a credit card to rent the vehicle and that my VISA debit card was not an acceptable method of payment. WHAT?! In what world does that make sense? I don’t have a credit card. At all. Would have been nice to know that debit cards are inadequate before wasting $60 and ruining my sons birthday trip. Never doing business with Alamo again.

First car broke down, and Alamo sent an Uber to bring us back to the terminal for a new car.

As usual, Alamo did not have a car of the size that I had reserved at the time that I arrived. And, as usual, they offered me a free upgrade. The first offer was for a sports car, which I turned down (though it would have been fun), as I needed a vehicle that could transport 5 people plus luggage, so had reserved an SUV. So they upgraded me to a larger, nicer SUV! I've used Alamo for something like 5 or 6 trips in a row and been happy every time.

Easy rental and return. Professional and friendly staff. Perfect vehicle for our needs.Lack of information about the air system. (The rear ventilation was locked and we could not change it)

Local great, national not greatThe local agents were helpful, responded to issues and managed resolution at their level. Thank you. Rely on your local agents for everything and give them more funding. The corporate level is not helpful.Your national level "1-800" customer service needs improvement. You failed to give me an accurate local agency phone number. You tried to bill me extra costs for a pre-paid rental, due to change in my flight itinerary that resulted in me using the car for less time than what I paid for. Retarded. Your policy driven response to everything is not customer friendly. Simply refer all customers DIRECTLY to the local agent they'll be dealing with and all will work out well. But your corporate level customer service made me not want to use Alamo again. Fortunately for you, your local agents redeemed Alamo name.

Easy pick up and drop off. Size of vehicle was good. The dollar amount for the rental initially was ok (reserved on-line thru Kayak.) However, when I went to pick up the vehicle at Alamo, the overall price was lower by about $130. Nice surprise. (Not certain why ordering online would be more expensive though).
