Pros: The hotel is beautiful and has an excellent location. The staff had excellent customer service as well. We had to be up at 4AM to check out and our concierge from the night before said "I will notify my colleague in order to have your check-out info ready in the morning. Would you like a wake-up call in the morning?". When we returned later after dinner, we double-checked with her colleague and he said "Yes, I have been notified and will have your wake-up call at 3:30AM and everything will be ready for you to check-out". The bellman/security escorted us to our car in the morning to make sure we made it safely and took our bags. The parking is safe and the parking security guard was also aware of our early morning departure. Everything went smoothly. I highly suggest this hotel.
Cons: To be honest, everything was wonderful. I would only say finding your room initially can be confusing because it is divided into 2 parts but that is about it.

Pros: Cleanliness and central location
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel are super friendly and welcoming, as is everyone we have so far met in Nicaragua really. The room is big and comfy, with aircon! and the pool area is nice to relax by. Also, best granola ever :)
Cons: The door leading to our balcony, which is on the street, is not at all sound proof so if you're a light sleeper this may be a problem as from about 5/6 am it starts getting busy out.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was provided in a table service format. We were offered a fruit bowl, coffee and a natural beverage (generally a choice of local fruit drinks). The facility is top notch. It's one of the most expensive in Granada, but you simply can't beat the location. The facility has a pool in the courtyard, and a great deal of space to simply sit and relax. We were given vouchers for a free welcome drink in the bar on arrival. The beds were comfortable, and the a/c was sufficient. We had a refrigerator in our room. The shower was good.
Cons: Granada's tourism industry has not recovered from the violence in 2018. In this hotel, there were only three rooms booked the night we were there. We didn't see many other tourists in the city. The property is located in the heart of the city. There are a few very loud bar/restaurants within the block so you can hear music. We turned on the room fan to drown out some noise, but there were quite a few cars going by and the 'unofficial' taxis honk their horns a lot to generate fares. It felt like they were doing anything they could to increase our bill. We asked to extend our check-out by an hour and they wanted $20 more. They pushed to upgrade when we arrived and wanted an extra $29. Considering how they were almost empty, we were surprised and it gave a negative vibe.

4,5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast OK, location is good but not as advertised. Should warn that during high season the noise level is terrible.
Cons: Staff not oriented to full service mind. Bedroom was not fully cleaned and had a particular odor of being closed for too long.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Staff, LOCATION, atmosphere... excellent
Cons: Street music quite loud very late into night...

Cons: No parking lot
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location and cleaning and friendly people working in hotel.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the staff very much they were all very friendly and hospitable. The grounds were peaceful and a nice escape from the busyness outside.
Cons: There were often people selling things right at the entrance of the hotel and as soon as we stepped out to try the local restaurants we were constantly approached one after another to buy something. Their tactics were pretty aggressive, especially at the Central Park and overall we unfortunately didn’t feel comfortable going too far from the hotel despite its prime location. The lunch and dinner options were not good. I was sooner not eating than ordering the food in the hotel. We ordered almost everything on their menu and it was all disappointing with the exception of their breakfast. We ordered Paella and the seafood tasted spoiled and my stomach was upset for the next couple days. Overall it lacked freshness and I believe we were being reserved old food :( . There are a few restaurants down Calle Calzada that offer great, fresh, food at a fraction of the cost that Dario charges. @sydseragosa

Pros: The location of the hotel is in the midle of the old town perfect to enjoy the beautiful old city, there are also bars and restorants in the same street so a perfect location to enjoy the great food. The hotel has a beautiful indor space wereypu can sit for breakfest or in the evening to enjoy and relax. The staff is very friendly and polite.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the service we received from Mr. Ramón! He made the trip worthwhile with his advice and amazing vibes. He gave us the best customer service. The breakfast was amazing and the coffee was out of this world. Rooms extremely spacious and lobby very nice place to sit and talk.
Cons: The rooms needed to be a bit cleaner but can be understood because of the small staff at the hotel. Only about 7 employees from what I could see and they tried their best to do everything.

Pros: Much bigger than internet photos looked. Located in a quieter part of town, but still walking distance to town center.
Cons: Breakfast not included and only average.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Center of old ciry walking for 1 minute.. Even if too late check-in, so kindness receptionist were there. and good safe parking inside the hotel. No regulation of vehicle height
Cons: Nothing at all
7,5 Good
Pros: The pool was great, the receptionist very kind and helpful
Cons: It is a bit unpleasant to walk in the neighborhood at night, but other than that the location is close to everything. The rooms were not lit very well, which was a bit inconvenient because everybody can look right into the lower rooms if you keep the curtains open. Laundry was discolored but that was my own fault because I forgot to mention to seperate light and dark - don't make the same mistake!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful courtyard with a nice pool, very clean rooms, hospitable staff that are happy to give advice, call taxis, assist you in any way they can. Delicious fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, and bread for breakfast!
Cons: The location is not in the main downtown area, about a 10 minute walk or $2 cab ride home. Honestly made for a nice and quiet stay.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We prearranged with staff for a driver to pick us up at the Ticabus station, and bring us to the hotel. The driver was punctual. Check in was a breeze. Anna made a delicious breakfast each morning and the pool provided a refreshing break from the heat. The location was a short and safe 10 minute walk to the main sights/areas of Granada. It was also a short walk for groceries (Maxi Pali, La Colonia or La Union).
Cons: We had suite 209 which is actually at the rear of the property and stands apart from the main building containing the other suites. It does not overlook the pool nor have a balcony or outside seating area. The neighbourhood noises started fairly early in the morning. However, the one bedroom suite was huge, clean, had warm showers, a well stocked kitchen and great air conditioning and fans.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and the bed could not be more comfortable. Tania and Michelle (manager) were both lovely. Thank you!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Lovely pool. Great location.
Cons: Room was quite small and dark. Bar severely lacking in drinks options.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the place. Fell in love with the apartments and the set up. The team was so accommodating and were very attentive. One of the best places to stay in Granada. The location is not the closest to the livelier part of the city, but it’s great when you want a break from the noise.
Cons: Only thing would be if perhaps a couple more breakfast choices. But I suppose it matters more when you stay more than 2 days and want variety.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The facility is excellent. The staff were very attentive. The breakfast most representative of the Country, with a variety of fruits, drinks, and the usual eggs to order.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Melisa the manager was amazing, from welcoming us to walking us to the local farmers market, showing us around, putting us in contact with people, helping them us find supplies after our luggage was lost by the airline. She is an asset to the place and such a lovely helpful lady, she couldn’t have done anymore for us. The staff at the hote Are also very nice and helpful especially the breakfast/ cleaning ladies. A great spot, out the way, yet easy walking disnarce. Lovely accommodation, great size and facilities, lovely pool. My one suggestion would be that they shut the gates to the property as whilst your on your balcony or in the pool etc you feel as if anyone can walk in, I didn’t like that about the hotel common space.
Cons: As above closed the gate to create a sense of privacy and cleaned the toilet bins every day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff. Location was quiet and yet close enough to the main plaza for easy walking. Suites are lovely, worth the additional cost.

9,5 Excellent
Pros: The location close to Granada’s main square, next to restaurants and stores. Is a beautiful house, clean and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Everything was excellent.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: I love the way you step from a city street into a beautiful little oasis. The pools are awesome too!
Cons: Beds are a little hard for my liking.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The gardens/pools inside the hotel are beautiful with their flowers and the architecture and style is pleasant. The hotel is located just some 40 metres from the central park/main square, yet far enough for guests not to be disturbed by the comotion of the central square.
Cons: My room was located on the same level and next to the path guests had to take to get to their rooms so unless I kept the curtains in front of the window, I was very much exposed to other guests while in the room. The room (number 4) was facing a hotel bar, so compared with other rooms, the view was not very nice.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The pool was very enjoyable, having a swim up bar. If the pool was too busy, the hotel has a second one to check out.
Cons: We enjoyed everything!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very relaxing pool area.
Cons: No view from room.

Pros: The staff and the services they provide. They picked me from managua late at night in a very nice vehicle and I felt completely safe. Julian arranged for your services with a very knowledgeable tour guide named Wilfredo Guamamuz. I recommend both of those young men to drive you around and provide tour services!!!☺️
Cons: That I didn't stay longer.

Pros: Location, staff, breakfast and the design! Big big plus!
Cons: All was good
7,5 Good
Pros: Size and amenities in the room. Art work and the many pictures everywhere. Two pools plants and pottery everywhere. The services was fantastic. Location only 30 metres from central city square and near central street with night life entertainment and great food.
Cons: There was no safe in our room.

Pros: Loved the pool, breakfast was great and staff supportive.
Cons: The only thing was that the water pressure in the shower was limited.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. I felt very safe there.
Cons: The ceiling in the room was leaking water when it rained. The shower had barely any water dripping out. The pool needs to be maintained and repaired. I was over charged and given incorrect change at the pool bar.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: The staff and something wrong fix right aeay
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely loved the attentiveness of the staff and that the pool is available 24 hours a day ! The massages are wonderful ! Fresh breakfast cooked to order and natural juices ! Kenyn gives the best chocolate in house presentation ! I absolutely loved it all !
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Mansion de Chocolate are outstanding and incredibly helpful. The home is beautiful and has one of the nicest pool facilities in Granada. The deluxe room we stayed in was spacious and the bed comfortable.
Cons: Sadly, with the significant drop in tourism over the last year, the house is in need of a little upkeep. The in-room bathrooms could use an update and the pool deck needs some minor repair work.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality was great- staff was super nice!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The massage services are really cheap and great! There is also a chocolate making class, very cool and inexpensive. You can walk everywhere from here, it is a great location. The hotel is an ex-president’s house and is quite nice.
Cons: The pool was very dirty and there was no water the last day of my stay. I was unable to shower or brush my teeth. Wifi wasn’t the strongest.
4,5 Okay
Pros: The location was great and the staff were nice.
Cons: There were ants crawling all over our room and bugs all over the shower. We actually thought we shouldn't have to pay to stay in a bug infested room.
Los Patios Hotel - Granada - Pool
8,6 Excellent (70 reviews)
R1 545+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Los Patios Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Granada, within a 15-minute drive of Laguna de Apoyo and San Francisco Convent and Cultural Center. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The place is gorgeous - like staying in someone’s well designed home. Large spaces, with intersecting but pared back decor - it could be straight out of a design magazine. Every angle and nook and cranny has places to relax and chill out. Very calm and zen like atmosphere. Our suit on the second floor was large with a small terrace overlooking the pool and the volcano in the far off distance. Staff are friendly, kind and efficient.
Cons: It wasn’t a problem for us but it’s slighly out of the centre of town (10 minute walk). On the flip side, it’s in a quiet area.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Superb Boutique Hotel. Beautiful place right in the middle of Granada. Very nice staff. Cooling pool and great design. You can the owners got. taste. Lots of lovely details make this place special.
Cons: I got mosquito challenges...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good crew. Private, secure facilty. No more then four block walk to the downtown stuff. Good WiFi. Nice common area.
Cons: Ran into a few nasty mosquitos In the early evening.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very small hotel - only 5 rooms - and thankfully no-one else staying the first night so we were able to relax in the pool side loungers after coming back from dinner in Granada. We stayed in Room #5 - the upstairs suite which afforded us a view of Mombacho Volcano and some of the local church spires. Nice that we had a small balcony but too hot to sit out during day. Bathroom was gigantic with a monstrous tub. A/C worked very well in bedroom alone.
Cons: King bed was just a not-too-thick mattress lying on a wooden slat bed frame. 2 small wooden folding chairs were all there was to sit on in the room apart from the bed. We knew it was a modern design hotel but this was somewhat on the spartan side. Because of the inner courtyard with pool layout there is the potential for noisy groups of people drinking (wine and beer available for purchase from poolside fridge). The rooms were immediately at the end of the pool and noise was bouncing off the concrete interior walls. Noise was also coming in from the adjoining streets. Even though we thought we were in a quiet part of the city, it turned out not to be that quiet.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning and tranquil, Los Patios was on a quiet street in the centre of town, ideal for exploring Granada. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in Nicaragua. The staff were charming and incredibly helpful. One of the most cleverly designed and decorated hotels I’ve stayed in.

4,3 Okay
Pros: It was in another building, not in the Hotel.
3,7 Mediocre
Pros: This was our honeymoon and we paid extra for a gauranteed upgraded room, not only did they not give us an upgraded room but they moved us to three different rooms including one at another hotel in a sketchy location for the three nights we were there!! On day one they even had the nerve to go into our room and take all our things out without telling us. It was invasive and embarrassing. They told us that Univision was filming or the water filter was broken or that someone had overstayed. Many different versions of lies when it was obvious they had just overbooked their hotel. They gave us a free half hearted dinner to "compensate" for all this but this remains one of the worst customer service experiences of our lives.
5,0 Okay
Pros: This hotel pulled a bait and switch on us... suggesting we had made a reservation for their "other property" (clearly we had not) but they could put us up in the main building for one night ... but then we would have to move. Ridiculous. And still charged the same rate for a much much much lesser property and room.
Cons: Everything.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: staff was very friendly and nice. Everybody in the hotel was exceptional, specially Juan in the hotel restaurant and, Auxiliadora in the front desk.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The included breakfast was excellent. Friendly staff and great location next to Parc Central. Lovely courtyards.
Cons: We were placed in the overflow building 1 block from main hotel. Breakfast was in main hotel. The room was still good sized and clean but I don’t know how rooms compare to main building.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: the staff 100%
Cons: the price was a little high but it is in the centre . the staff were amazing
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old building right in the heart of Granada. Easy to pop back and have a nap or a dip in the pool when it got too hot outside! Nice clean room with a big comfortable bed.
Cons: Some of the facilities are showing a little wear and tear, but nothing out of the ordinary for an old building.
6,8 Good
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, good food
Cons: Leaking a.c. unit so there was water all over room floor. Language barrier caused issues and no concierge. The staff tried to give us a single bed room even though reservation was for 2 beds, we had to demand the 2 bed room over and over.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: You can't go wrong with a stay at La Gran Francia. The property is beautiful and in a perfect location. The staff is helpful friendly and professional.
Cons: The pool was out of order but we did not mind much.
7,5 Good
Pros: Very central location. Morning breakfast included was delicious and convenient.
Cons: Never had hot water in the room. The AC worked well however is noisy when sleeping
7,0 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: Swimming pool was dirty and unusable and showers were cold. Very expensive for what you get
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the morning breakfast was out of this world. Their coffee is fantastic!
Cons: The annex room like I mentioned earlier was outside the main square, awkward and no window in our room. The pool over there we thought was a fountain.

Pros: This hotel was reasonably priced. Located not too far from the city center. Friendly staff. We were here two nights. It's not the best place in Granada, but it's a fine place to stay if you're looking for something that nice enough and not too expensive. Breakfast is included and it has a small pool. Parking is on the city street, but there's a guy who guards the cars.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The staff very helpful. Location ok..
Cons: Everything else. Very basic indeed. For €76 per night I would have expected a much higher standard of accommodation. Room 10.The bathroom is very long and narrow, you had to squeeze past the toilet to use the shower which had seen better days, the water did not drain away until 10mins after you had dried off. Very economical Breakfast, 1 slice of toast, scrambled eggs ok and 1 cup of coffee. We stayed in the hotel guardabarranco on the other side of town prior for less money and it was far superior in my opinion. We only moved because the first hotel was full.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: My girlfriend was super sick and they helped me find a hospital to take her to. The were there at midnight when we got back waiting for us. They moved us into another room without us asking so that I wouldn’t be sick. Awesome place, great facilities, great staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. On our last day check-out day we went on a day long tour so the hotel staff kept our giant backpacks for the day. When returned they were safe and sound. The bartender is so friendly and great service. The food was great and the cook was friendly too. We would totally stay there again.
Cons: Nothing to complain about at all.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. The hotel grounds were very colorful and beautiful. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: The shower head was wonky and water went everywhere, but it had great pressure.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Excellent location. Very clean. Very quiet. Staff friendly and helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast
Cons: The restaurant was kind of close
