This hotel is great some of the staff are great hotel room are great gets cleaned each day the manager Miglena was brilliant after she had to give us a bit of bad news the hotel was closing down for the season which was very sad she went out of her way to get us an other hotel then said we had to attend the hotels end of season staff party which was fantastic seeing Bulgarian culture drinking, dancing and having fun I would say this is a mixed hotel young and old guest's not sure if it would be for young families would say I will be going back would like to say a big thank you to Miglena Drenska you was fantastic hope to see you soon
My wife didn't sleep well the first 2 nights has there was young ones there going out and coming back in the early hours making to much noise, the food was sometimes was abit warm but saying all this was at the end of season food needs to be upgraded a little
The food, the room, service
The coffee! More playgrounds for Children!
The suite room was nice, view was fantastic and the cleaning personnel was lovely.
Food was mediocre, given how amazing Bulgarian food can be. Staff for the majority was beyond grumpy as if you are doing them a favor to be there. Bulgarian hospitality really needs to start learning from the far east, or even neighboring Turkey on customer service. Also, be careful with the elevator - the censors are off and closed in on me hurting my shoulder.
The bar and the kitchen staff was very nice and always happy to help. The food was good and they had a big variety for all 3 meals of the day. The drinks were decent also. The pool was okay.
The reception staff was not at all how I expected, they always seemed to be bothered when they had to do their job like: helping us with the check in, asking for direction, information about parking. They were rude and not helpful at all. During the 4 nights stay one of the elevators broke twice, they only have 2 elevators for a 14 levels facility. Many times I had to take the stairs up to 7th floor and even to the 13th floor where someone in my group was checked in. The extra bed was not comfortable at all, no mattress on a convertible armchair. The bathroom was not clean, we only had one face towel and 2 bath towels for a room for 3 adults. Asked for extra towels which were never sent to my room. At the reception during the check in the reception staff did not bother with explaining what we should do fro electricity in the room (rooms are locked with a key, not an access card as they have in most hotels) The beach is quite far away - 15 min walk. Some of the hotel guests were doing a lot of noise during the night, but the hotel staff took no action, the other guests had to ask them to bu quiet. Emergency exists were blocked by the cleaning ladies carts. Since they have only 5 or 6 parking spots for a 14 levels hotel, we had to pay 15 leva per day per car for the parking and when we asked the hotel staff about the parking fees in he near by parking they said that they don't know the price.
This family-friendly Golden Sands hotel is located near the beach, within 1 mi (2 km) of Trifon Zarezan Beach and Golden Sands Beach. Cabacum Beach and Nirvana Beach are also within 3 mi (5 km).
