Pros: The location is great nearby the activity facility. The room is good. However, it seems old and needs renovation although the style of the hotel is old. It is very big and the breakfast is good. It is good hotel for the family. I enjoy staying one night and the staff is excellent and very helpful.
Cons: I did not like the hallway flooring carpet as it needs refurbish. Also, I wish the bowling is open all day long.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: nice hotel, good facilities, close to ski and lake and town, lovely staff, nice spa but do not think you should have to pay to use it.
Cons: I booked on the day.I rang on the day to ask how I got from the train station to the hotel and no one ansrewd for 20 mins, upon arrival I asked why no one answered and was told we are too busy. was not happy as my email did not come through either when I enquired. it was raining and I had no clue how to get to the hotel, luckily a local pointed in me in the direction of the taxi office.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lots of areas for relaxing in around the bar and reception Good breakfast that was constantly restocked Good location for a stopover between Oslo and Bergen
Cons: We were given a suite room with separate lounge and kitchenette. This was nice in one way as we had a lot more space than just s double. However as we were not self catering we couldn’t make use of the tea/coffee making facilities as we had no tea of coffee! In a normal room those would be provided? Just s minor thing but worth a mention

7,1 Good
Pros: Beautiful scenery
Cons: Bathroom floods when you take a shower
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had an appartment room - great views and terrace, lots of spaces to move around, fully equiped kitchen; made us regret we didn't stay longer.
Cons: Uncomfy bed - too soft ( might be a personal preference) and thin covers on windows - too much light at night, which is always bad during Norwegian short nights
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful apartment, balcony and views. Self-catering kitchen and comfortable lounge.
Cons: The bedroom had a double (2 singles together) as well as bunk beds (bottom one double) so the room was a bit cramped and not very comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room with kitchenette. Surprise, because none information about it during booking.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super friendly. Johan at the front desk was very helpful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful hotel in a very beautiful position. Very beautiful atmosphere Very beautiful view
9,6 Excellent
Pros: View from the room.. clean and quite. Patient staff and chef during the breakfast.
Cons: Twin bed instead of double bed would be better. But we understood what the host explained about the customer requests during winter.
7,5 Good
Pros: We were upgraded to a lovely size room with lounge and kitchen area and great view.
Cons: The dining area can get very busy with tour bus groups, but staff are very good at dealing with the large numbers
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and the Hotel offers a nice view.
Cons: The room could have been cleaner, I stayed in an apartment and a pot had pasta stuck on the outside. The room was not dirty in generell, just not clean in details.

Cons: The walls were a bit thin. We got woken up at 6am by a neigbour singing opera.

6,0 Good
Cons: The hotel was closed. They had tried to call us and did book a room for us at the Ustadalen Hotel down the street.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful with information about local hikes, transport, restaurants etc. The location was excellent - a short walk from the train station.
Cons: We didn't realize that the hotel dinner restaurant was only a buffet option. Food could have been hotter at breakfast and dinner.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We stopped here as a half way point on our self drive from Oslo to Bergen. This hotel was super cute and cozy. I slept amazing- comfortable bed, quiet. The concierge was really nice and friendly and helpful both on check in and check out. She gave us suggestions for lunch and directions to the stable I needed to go to. The downstairs lounges were cozy and I can just imagine how delightful they would be in winter with a roaring fire. The breakfast spread was a veritable feast- a variety of eggs, fruits, cereals, breads, yogurt, herring and smoked salmon. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to a future guest.
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice location, great view from the room, very good breakfast
Cons: There was a peculiar odd in the room and in the common areas.
7,9 Good
Pros: The breakfast is very good .
Cons: The valve of the shower was placed too low (~50cm from the floor ) and the water temperature could not be adjusted to high enough . There was an awful smell (some chemicals ) when we arrived to room.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good staff. Excellent wifi.
Cons: They don't have double beds (or larger). Like many European hotels they push 2 single beds together - each with its own set of sheets and quilts. The "quilts" are usually to heavy/warm. In this case we removed the heavy quilt that was encased in a "bag" like device of two large sheets sewn together like a pillow. Question is: Why do good hotels make couples sleep apart? The 2 beds were borderline comfortable - too soft.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: very nice place, staff was very nice, comfortable room
Cons: no alternative to soya milk, no refill of marmalade... no elevator
6,7 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean, warm and welcoming.
Cons: The room did not have tea making facilities and had to walk down 2 flights of stairs to the other side of the hotel to get a cup of hot water. The early breakfast was utter carnage, with what seemed like very confused staff. The shower was extremely small, with the need to fold the shower door to be able to use the WC
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Meal and breakfast both very good. Off street open parking for motorcycle, close to reception so felt bike was secure.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The view and the staff. Food was good and reasonable for Norway .
Cons: No lift as I have back problems

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location for town and ski bus. Lovely pool for after ski. Fab NYE meal and nice on-site bakery with fresh bread and pastries every morning.
Cons: No where to hang wet clothes, no hooks or hangers anywhere in the apartment. The kitchen was well-stocked but we needed an oven glove and dish towel too.
6,7 Good
Pros: Comfortable room with shampoo but no conditioner. Wide range of breakfast options included. Bread was delicious as was pizza. House red was good. Very comfortable lounge and nice sundeck with view.
Cons: Staff in evening were unprofessional and omnipresent. Bartender seemed to want tone spend more time in kitchen than serving customers. Lots of screaming laughter and intrusive thrash metal music coming from kitchen while customers searched for someone to serve them. One lady was desperately trying to pay but could not find anyone to take her money.

Pros: it is a good place to relax
Cons: none
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean& quite Lovely Staff
Cons: None
5,8 Okay
Pros: This is a large ski resort hotel. We stayed during the summer, the hotel was pretty empty. The dining room, lounge, breakfast areas were all in very good style ("casual-chic"), very welcoming, wide yet warm, with good views.
Cons: We stayed in a family room - this turned out to be on a basement, with no lift... It was not a very pleasant room: very narrow, dark, crowded, no view, no decor, a small terrace area with wild overgrown uncut grass; maybe it would have been ok for a skiing family holiday, but, considering it was low-season, we were expecting far more pleasant accommodation (in line with the common areas) for the payed price - the highest we payed per night during our rad-trip in Norway, where we had some really much nicer stays.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, great pool, good food
Cons: Small room, no bathrobe and slippers, no kettle and no fridge in rooms.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: The washroom was ridiculously tiny.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional hotel, very comfortable, perfect breakfast, free parking.
7,5 Good
Pros: The hotel is nice. Breakfast is adequate. Staff are friendly. Location is good. We love the surrounding of the hotel. Room is fine.
Cons: At breakfast, we were put in the same room with noisy chinese tour group. We are Thai people and we do not like to be stereotyped as Chinese people. We asked to sit in another area but the staff insisted that the rest of the tables are booked. It was super noisy and so we didn't enjoy our breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, made us feel welcome from the first to the last second of our stay. The cabin was much more than we expected. We were wet and cold after diving our bikes for 10 hours in rain and were happy to see that we had 2 bathrooms and open fireplace plus that we could use the tumble-drier at the hotel.

Cons: Old style hotel, need renovation, small shower.
7,5 Good
Pros: We had just one day in Geilo, which was enough to see the town and walk around quite a bit of the valley. The Ro hotel was extremely convenient for the train station - right next to it (and no significant noise)
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Family-run traditional Norwegian hospitality and food at its best.
5,8 Okay

Cons: I would expect more from ***. This hotel is much more toward ** or hostel. Furniture and flooring need updating. Bed was very soft.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and very accommodating with check-in/out times, so I got the most out of skiing in an otherwise deserted Geilo. Breakfast was nice with very tasty fresh baked bread. The rooms are old and the bathrooms in particular are in need of refurbishing. But I knew that in advance, everything worked and was clean, so no complaints. I'll definitely be back. It's right next to the train tracks, so be aware of some noise if you sleep lightly.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location and good breakfast.
Cons: Unfortunately our room had not been cleaned on arrival. We had to request a clean. They were very apologetic.
