Quiet, spacious, comfortable
No hotwater on evening or following morning,so had to have tepid shower and bath. Only glass wall between our room and hall so could be seen going between bedroom and bathroom from outside!!! cleaner arrived 2 hours before checkout to deliver equipment to clean room, visible through glass wall.
Superb staff who did everything they could to help us enjoy our stay, lovely room, quiet location and only a 5 minute walk to Princes Street. Parking is a wee bit limited, but again the staff helped out and the problem disappeared.
No issues at all.
It was very good. Affordable and reasonable luxury, perfect location for shopping and edinburgh landmarks exploration. We hardly used public transport during our stay. Excellent staff. Would surely stay again.
level of amenities and comfort, also excellent staff
Luxury hotel, perfect stay.
Staying at the Chester Residence in Edinburgh means that you have a lot of space in one of the older areas of the city, in fact, the hotel itself boasts about the space in the apartments as having “parish church” proportions. However, space is not the only thing that makes this Scottish hotel great, there is also incredible proximity to the famous Princes Street along with the different sites that dot Scotland’s capital city. Within the hotel, there are lots of amenities, for example, the hotel offers complimentary bottles of champagne, a turn down service, flower bouquets, grocery delivery, and several restaurants on site. You can get a fine dining experience or just head to the lounge and get yourself a nice drink after a day of sightseeing.
As for the apartments at the Chester Residence, all of them are old Georgian Townhomes that have been converted into modern living spaces. The apartments all have different capacities and belong to different buildings, but everything is kept together. The apartments are either one bedroom or two bedroom, depending on the place that you are staying. Within the apartments, the décor is chic and urban – while the hotel may exude history, the place that you would stay in has modern appliances and finishes. This is a great hotel for business people or for couples seeking a romantic getaway.
The Chester Residence is a great hotel to stay at in Edinburgh because it provides some incredibly luxurious finishes in a premium location.
