The staff were very responsive!
The bathroom could do with a little bit of attention.
Very Scottish in style. Very cosy
Breakfast was fine but the coffee point needs to have filter coffee in it not instant didn't go down well with some of the residents. The staff were lovely. The location was pretty good as a step off point to the City Centre. We were treated to a complimentary breakfast which was very kind of the Manager.
The bed! The noise it made was unbelievable, given it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary it was not very conducive to a romantic stay away. The bathroom was obviously just built or renovated as the shelves either side of the sinks were not grouted in and could be lifted away. The left hand sink Taps were not fixed and were horribly loose and the glass guard has mould on its rubber skirt. The Shower was shoe horned into the corner with a glass guard that did not prevent the water from going onto the floor. The rail holding the shower head was loose making it very difficult to actually get under the shower so you were left with no choice but to point the shower away from the glass guard. The bathroom door did not fit the frame and made the whole bathroom look like a DIY job. The intervening wall between the room next door was a stud wall. You could hear everything the room next door was saying. Couple that with the noise the bed made and it basically meant the room provided no privacy! No Ice! The Ice machine behind the Bar was broken! The Hotel was obviously an old town house and our "suite" was a former sitting room that had a bed put in it and the bathroom was attached to make it En Suite. At £480.00 plus £80.00 upgrade it was not good value for money. Would I stay there again? yes but only if the bed was replaced and the stud wall was replaced with a proper sound proof wall!!!
Very nice continental breakfast included in tariff. Lovely fresh fruits and good choice of cereals. Large spacious bedroom.
Very small hard, lumpy bed. Bathroom mouldy. Needs to be completely refurbished. Floor felt rotten.
