Pros: Great location & the view into the vineyards was spectacular! Every morning sitting having breakfast outside right at the vineyards was so peaceful. The staff was extremely friendly.
Cons: Parking late at night was a challenge but I figured it out each time.
Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent- great selection and great service. The room was spacious and comfortable and the setting by the vineyards was very peaceful. Very quiet and relaxing with lovely scenery. Appreciated having free parking right outside our room. Easy access to town and countryside. We would highly recommend this place!
Pros: Gorgeous view of vineyards and mountains from the breakfast room and terrace. Easy access to local roads and the Autobahn. Nice modern bath with a big shower. Best breakfast buffet we had on our trip. Super people - sent a breakfast to our room one day when I wasn't feeling up to going to the buffet. Gave us great restaurant recommendations.
Cons: Nothing :). Absolutely great.
Pros: calm, friendly staff
Pros: Nice family run hotel, great breakfast buffet. In a really nice area and especially good for those travelling by car.
Cons: No bar or restaurant (other than excellent breakfast) but lots of great restaurants in the area
Located in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Hotel-Pension Altes Weinhaus is within a 15-minute drive of Palatinate Forest Nature Park and Holiday Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: The wifi connection was completely absent.
Pros: The breakfast buffet is really nice with a great variety of salty, as well as sweet dishes and is frequently restocked with fresh produce. Heaters kept prepared foods, such as scrambeled eggs, warm and delicates, such as ham and cheeses were covered preventing drying out. Everything was also nicely arranged and tables were quickly cleaned after guests left. The hotel staff was helpful and attentive to provide everything needed by the guests.
Cons: Unfortunetaly, the WIFI was limited and thus many webpages could not be loaded. The issue could not be resolved during my stay and was a problem for other guests at the hotel, too.
Pros: Very pleasant hotel, we will come back!
Pros: The property is easy to reach and find. Cyclists, hikers, nature and wine lovers will find many attractive sights near by. Cancellation policy was very flexible, which might be a selling point for those who book early. Although parking is limited, it was possible to find a place on the street not too far from the property. Helpful staff.
Cons: Our basic room was on the ground floor with a view on the hotel parking lot. My partner and I didn't find the beds very comfy and the curtains let a lot of light in when the sun comes out, so we didn't really get a good night sleep. Although most things work, the place seems a bit dated.
Pros: Self-check in after office hours Available parking lots in and nearby

Pros: Size and equipement of the room
Pros: Staff was very friendly. The rooftop bar/restaurant was comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Beds were a little hard.
Pros: The staff were amazing and so friendly.
Cons: I would have liked coffee facilities in the room and a mini fridge.
Pros: Wonderful top floor with Pano view for the bar and Breakfast area.

Pros: Big room
Cons: The warm air of the air conditioning system was not working, it was not clean enough, the staff was very friendly but not always an English speaking person was available.
Pros: Quiet room, free parking
Cons: Restaurant closed for week end without notice on website, when asked the staff stated I could call to check... Drain smell in room Not possible to shorten stay, full reservation too be paid Staff not friendly Breakfast not in line with price
Pros: Stayed 2 nights which gave time to explore the area. Room was comfortable with a good bathroom and walk in shower. Also had a balcony for use in good weather. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Quite a trek to the room up and down stairs with our cases. Restaurant staff not friendly so we didn’t eat there and we saw no evidence of the steak menu that we were told about when we arrived. As such, we ate out in the town although there are very limited restaurant options.
Pros: The breakfast was great, basically all you can eat for anything (cereal, eggs, pastry, coffee, orange juice, ...). Quiet evenings, easy to get a good night's sleep.
Cons: The wifi was down for one entire evening, but the fixed it the next day.
Cons: Too many midges on breakfast food. Restaurant had little to choose from.
Pros: Easy walk into town and great parking. Room was beautiful and comfortable. The young lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Shower was great but needs resealing ( room 211) as so much water leaked it ran into the bedroom. Trains run all through the night so can be noisy. Young lady who checked us out did not seem to appreciate British guests unlike the lovely girl the previous evening.
Pros: Very nice hotel with friendly staff, willing to do something extra just to make your stay better. The breakfast is also very nice.
Pros: We liked the size of the room, it was mostly clean. There always tends to be dirt at the bottom of the glass shower doors and this was no exception. We liked the entry from the back with the old building, our room was in a newer part of the building and was a bit off.
Cons: The hotel was a spa hotel, but was not convenient for getting into a relaxed spa atmosphere due to the layout of the hotel. In the end I was not happy about the cost of the room with the amenities...over priced.

Pros: Very friendly staff, good location for our purposes, breakfast, great water pressure in shower
Cons: A tad outdated but comfortable enough!
Pros: Great hotel in good location. Spacious and clean rooms, excellent breakfast selection
Cons: Limited parking onsite
Pros: A comfortable, modern, no-frills hotel, with a pleasant inner garden where it is possible to have a drink or a meal.
Cons: We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, I can't say whether it is good or not, but the price of 17 euros is, in my view, too expensive.
Pros: Didn't have breakfast. Had to leave early in morning.
Cons: TV didn't work in room.
Pros: Great location lovely staff
Cons: Carpet was dirty and room smelled a little musty
Pros: Nice location, good breakfast facilities, comfortable room
Cons: No gluten free bread as requested when booking ("no local bakery has it available"). Furthermore, very limited wifi link available (restaurant only, and not in our room). Seems to have become a typical German phenomenon in comparison with other European (as well as Asian and African) nations. Room foor structural improvements Nationwide.
Pros: Could be nice. If someone tried to be nice.
Cons: The woman in charge wasn't charming, the least to be said! The woman in the wineshop was, if possible, less charming. They don't accept Mastercard or any other international card. The restaurant wasn't open on day 2. In fact we found only one open, a Greek, that wasn't good at all. Terrible food. The coffee at the breakfast was close to disaster! Why can't you get real coffee?
Pros: Really super clean. It was on our route. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Eva communicated with us very well. Breakfast great and plentiful.
Cons: The restaurant was unfortunately closed the day we were there. But we were advised where to go and ate really well. The car park was over the road from the property.
Pros: The room & house were clean and pretty. Staff was friendly and the house offers free wine tasting for guests (until 5pm).
Cons: Only complaint was that there was no coffee in the room, and going out on the town without a car (we were on a 7-day hiking advevture) is a long walk.
Pros: We booked this hotel six months in advance to ensure that we got the room we wanted, but when we arrived, it was a different story. First of all, there is no staff present during the day, so this eliminates any way of checking in early. After we checked-in and got to our room the first thing we noticed about the room, it was not the room we booked. We booked the Classic Quadruple Room with two queen beds, and the room we received was the Triple Room with two twin beds with a sofa bed. When we addressed this with the receptionist, she said there was nothing they could do, so we asked if we could swap out the sofa bed with a regular bed and again we were told there was nothing they could do this was all they had. She was going to allow us to cancel our reservation without paying any fees, but there were no other hotels due to a festival going on in the area. We also have driven more than 5 hours to get there and have already paid for all of the events we had planned for that weekend, so we were stuck. We booked this hotel with Booking.com, so we decided to get them involved, after some back and forth with Booking.com and the receptionist over the phone we were not getting anywhere. The receptionist was telling us there was nothing they could do besides maybe cram another sofa bed in our already small room and telling Booking.com that I was refusing a room with four single beds which was not the case.
Cons: After our stay when we went to pay for our room thinking that since we stayed in a Triple Room, that’s what we were going to pay for, but nope. Because we booked the Classic Quadruple Room and refused the possibility of cramming another sofa bed in the already small room, we had to pay the full price. At this point we were so done with this hotel we just wanted to leave, so we decide to pay the total amount and file a complaint with Booking.com later. After filing a complaint with Booking.com, we were told they were not going to do anything since the receptionist gave them false information about us refusing a room with four single beds and to call the hotel ourselves and ask for a refund. We then called the hotel and asked for a refund of the difference between the two rooms and were told that was not going to happen. Because we refused her offer of free cancellation or trying to cram another sofa bed in our room, she kept repeating this over and over, so I hung up the phone thinking it was over. Then we started receiving WhatsApp messages from her telling me that she was going to call Booking.com and have an additional cleaning charged due to used condoms laying all over the floor, which was another lie because there was no sexually actives going on in our room. So that makes us think "How thoroughly do they clean their rooms if they're still finding things from other people or if they’re just staging things to make more money." Overall, Hotel is located on a noisy street. The opposite was a bus stop. So all very loud. The breakfast was abysmal. There was no fruit and only a variety of buns and bread. VERY unfriendly! Absolute Zero Service!! Save yourself a headache and frustration and book somewhere else, anywhere else! NEVER AGAIN!
Pros: Everything was great. The staff made us feel at home right away. Loved the cozy room and the breakfast. Big plus for the wine tasting in the house next door. Good car parking just outside the hotel. Will be back more times and I highly recommend anyone visiting the Hambacher area a stay here.
