Very clean, nice bar, nice breakfast and lovely garden out the back to relax and have a drink in.
Bit far out from the town. 7 pounds in a taxi. Breakfast was nice but expensive for what it was.
The hotel was a little off the main highway to the North, but easy to find and in a quiet residential area. My room was very clean and comfortable. The staff rearranged my hotel booking via email, after I realised I'd made an error on the dates, without any hassle and were very friendly throughout my stay. I had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The dinner menu is superb and my dinner was excellent. The the restaurant has a great view over the garden and to the countryside. The breakfast was a good cooked breakfast.
Walk in shower Friendly and helpful staff
Porridge portions were enormous.
everybody very helpful nothing we asked was a problem love the place
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The bar areas (there are two) were both comfy and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptionally good and set us up for the day. The large car park is local to your room (well it was to ours, 258). The bed was possibly the most comfortable I have slept in for years (although, that could have been assisted by the whisky night cap I had?).
The hotel is starting to look a little 'tired' although, there are renovations under way so, this maybe getting looked at? But, its not a deal breaker. I could not get any cold water out of either tap in the bathroom (which was a bit odd, but hey-ho). We were in the last room of the hotel on the second floor so, a bit of a walk. I would think if your are getting on a bit in years and have heavy bags, it would be an idea to ask for assistance to get to your room as there are no lifts.
