I rented a minivan. I called the agency to check the car insurance prices that I didn't hire on the application and they told me that the agency didn't have a minivan and couldn't have one. So if I hadn't called for some other reason, I would have arrived and they would have made a mess of all my travel plans. Bad service from Hertz for offering it and from Kayak and QEEQ for trusting what Hertz offers. I cancelled the rental and had to pay more at another agency. All bad!

Awful. The online rental loaned me a car and then I was called to be advised there were no cars available and a one-way rental to Prince George would not be happening.

Plane landed late so pick up location closed. Phoned hertz to be told rental held for 24 hours so all good. Next morning waited 5 hours to be told rental cancelled by hertz, To top it off I have to write to them for a refund minus £70 charge. Absolutely disgusting.

When client pick up the car, your stuff should confirm the gasoline tank level. In my case the mileage showed it is 299 km to empty. And it covered 300km before refill the gas.

The staff seemed to be doing their best in a difficult situation handling a lot of customers. We had a reservation to pick up a car. There were other patient people waiting. It seemed chaotic, like there should have been numbers given to us to give us a clue. We waited for our turn. I paid an upgrade to drive a Volkswagen Jetta. They said a Toyota Corolla was in the same class and that’s what they had. I see now that I paid a lot for the “convenience” of picking the car up in town in addition to Kayak’s fee. That was my mistake.

Didn’t get the car I was supposed to get. I was supposed to get a small compact like a Chevrolet Spark or similar and instead got an SUV. I tried to reserve a small car because it would be better on gas. It also costed more and I suppose I got the dealers choice instead. Good clean car and newer model but did not get what I reserved.

We arrived to pick up our vehicle, only to find out that the rental office was closed, despite the sign on the door stating that they should still have been open, according to their hours. We had to wait until the nest day to pick up our car, despite having been charged for the first day. Drop-off was extremely unprofessional, and left us worried that we might have been caught in a scam. A handwritten note taped to the rental office window had a number that we had to call. A man came without any clear indicators that he actually worked for the company and asked me to show where I'd parked, at which point I handed over the keys and he left with the rental car. We never received a receipt or any confirmation that the car had been properly returned. It's been two days and I still have yet to hear from the company. I wouldn't recommend this rental company to anyone.

I had confirmation that a car would be available but when I arrived they didn’t have a car available and sent me to another location 20 minutes drive away which caused us to miss our ferry reservation. This could have been avoided if they’d rung me in advance and not to be told when I turned up!

First of all, the staff is ridiculously nice. This is my first time renting a car, but everyone was so pleasant from start to end, answered all our questions. Also pleased to find out they shuttle you to and from the airport. It’s not very clear in the listing but they do and we rode in comfort.

The customer service is not great. I asked to add the insurance a couple of time and they never got it done. I called to change the car since we didn't order a basic mini suv, but I needed to go to Richmond to make the change. The car was very dirty and damaged and the tires were not great. The value was good but I'm now dealing with the customer service again for the return. They asked me to pay for the damages when a claim was sent to my insurance company since they couldn't do it properly with their insurance the first time around.

I booked to pick up the car in Vancouver downtown at 9 a.m. But when I arrived, the staff told me the car was not available in Vancouver downtown but in Richmond. I ended up picking up the car in Richmond at almost 11 a.m. Poor management.

Didn't have any cars when I arrived on time. Took about an hour and a half to wait for someone to return a car and have it briefly cleaned. The inside was not cleaned at all and was quite filthy. Car had engine light warning on and issues with the wireless key start.
