Lovely hotel, wonderful staff, terrific location in Amsterdam. Difficult to find by car, and parking is outrageously expensive.Breakfast was very nice. Everything else about the hotel was terrific. Typically European, the rooms are modest in size, nicely appointed. Nice touches, like coffee and treats are available, nice sitting area for in between activities or meetings.
If you like a private, intimate hotel, you will love this hotel. If you want a large spacious chain, this is not your place. I really enjoyed this hotel, but you need to know that this is not a big hotel with work out rooms, conference facilities, pools, etc.
You couldn't ask to be closer to the centre of Den Berg. The hotel staff were very obliging with all of our requests. Breakfast was of good quality as were the restaurant meals.
Two points, both which are negligible. 1. There is no lift in the hotel, but being such a historic building it would be unacceptable to try and install one. 2. There were no hotel instructions or menus written in English, but hey, we were the visitors and the staff were excellent in giving translations.
location, disponibility of the staff, good breakfast
the bed (mattress) was not very good, not hard enough
The breakfast was excellent and the parking was convenient. The bathroom was clean and new. The bathroom with the jacuzzi was great.
There was no lift which made it difficult for elderly people to climb the stairs. The toilet paper dispenser was very far from the toilet.
Very nice hotel. Very supportive and friendly staff at the hotel and at the resturant. Excellent breakfast, they had perfect control that our oldest son had required gluten free menu and not least gluten free bread - perfect! We really do recommend this hotel.
A small thing, but when you read about the facilities at the hotel, it says sauna and steam bath. There was no sauna except from one in of the rooms. Please be clearer about this.
