Transit is perfectly located for a night stop. We use it frequently, there is more choice of places to stay near the airport now but we find the staff delightful, the rooms perfectly adequate and always spotless.
The hotel is very close to the airport and for the low rate we didn’t expect more. It was ideal for us since we only needed to be there overnight to catch the next day a morning flight. We wouldn’t stay there for more than one night. It was very convenient that The hotel arranged our taxi to pick us up at the airport and drop us off.
Getting up at 3am but that is not your fault as that’s the time we had to for our international flight- thanks for taking us
Wi- Fi, airport transfer and ease of booking.
The hotel was exactly what we needed- a place to sleep near the airport before going there at midnight. We got off the ferry from Zanzibar, and had 12 hours to kill. The hotel cost about $50 for the four of us, and was directly across from the airport. We could have walked, but the neighborhood is a little unnerving for our first time to Africa. It was also midnight, so the $5 charge for a ride was very much worth it. We checked in and went to the restaurant to eat dinner around 4pm before trying to sleep a few hours. The food might be the best, most authentic Tanzanian food we had in our two weeks there. I ordered an avocado salad (it was enough for 4 people). I also had wraps, which were pretty good- I was surprised that there was ground beef in it, but it was well-seasoned and well-cooked. My wife had a very spicy chicken with ugali, one child had lemon chicken with rice, and another had tomato soup. We ate it all, and it was delicious. Kudos to the cook. Checkout was easy, and the driver was ready to go. Of note, the airport does not let passengers go inside until about 2 hours before the flight, so it is not worth going early.
Everything was really pretty good. One thing was the toilet had trouble flushing, but it worked fine after a few tries. The door was also a little thin, so as other guests slammed their doors to leave, it was loud. And there was a train right outside, so that was loud too.
