When we walked into the building the smell was overpowering of musty and mold. Place looks like it needs repairs. My husband was unable to breathe, so we left immediately. They refunded us quickly.
I liked the fact that its deep into the Forest, adds on to the experience of camping and having a outdoors experience. Everything was about 11-15 miles from the resort. Everyone was nice and friendly. I can't live without my bonfire resort has one for each cabin ,homemade.I like the names they had for each cabin as well. They also have a kitchen/dinning area with couch ,stove and tv.Great if you want to make your own food.this you share everyone in lodge
I did enjoy my stay overall and I'm also very honest about what I say so here it goes ,I will admit it was pricey for what it is. My room was comfy but had a weird smell, the landscape itself was beautiful but some of the lodges looked abandon from maintaiance.. I guess that is what makes it rustic. The outdoor jacuzzi's were filthy considering its summer time. I do know they are refurbishing some lodges..
Wonderful time in a wonderful hideaway. North Geor
I've stayed at Forrest Hills resort years ago and forgot how awesome it was. Especially in the Fall when all the leaves are changing. There were plenty of state parks and falls to explore within hours of the area. I recommend it.
