Pros: Delicious freshly cooked breakfasts with plenty of choice. Comfortable bed, clean room and good facilities. Quiet for a good night sleep. Good location to explore the coast and surrounding area. James and Caroline were friendly and welcoming.

Amongst an acre of National Trust woodland, Thornybank provides a relaxed setting for bed and breakfast, 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of Cromer. This Norfolk guest house has free parking and free WiFi. Each room has a king-size or double bed, and en suite bathroom facilities with shower and complimentary toiletries. There is a flat-screen TV with DVD player, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities in all rooms. Breakfast is served in the dining room, looking out to the woods, or on the terrace if the weather is fine. Packed lunches can also be provided. Thornybank offers a shuttle service from Cromer Train Station, around 1 mile away. The town lies on the north Norfolk coast, around 35 minutes’ drive from the city of Norwich, and has attractions including Cromer Beach and the Amazona Zoo. King’s Lynn and the coastal resorts of Wells-next-the-Sea, Hunstanton and Great Yarmouth can all be reached by car in around 1 hour or less.

Pros: We loved everything! Ronnie is so welcoming and the place is beautiful. Breakfast was amazing and location perfect as only a short distance to the front. We had the large family room which was great! Lovely comfortable beds and lots of space with great views of the outside areas.

Cons: The bathroom light was an energy saving light however took a very long time to come on bright enough to be able to see what you were doing especially at night. Although bed was okay it was a twin bed put In to a double so could feel the middle of the bed apart from that everything else was good
