Very friendly staff at reception and breakfast. The room was tastefully furnished and had coffee and tea making facilities, which is not common in Argentina. Exgremly comfy bed and enough space in the room. The pool area is perfectly integrated in the patio.
Our room was situated towards a rather busy street. With windows closed and blinds shut it was rather dark. The sink in the bathroom looked rundown because it has lost parts of its coating.
The pool area was lovely as was the restaurant. Our room looked into a side street so felt a little dark as the blinds were closed The bedding was excellent quality!
Very dark rooms and breakfast was a bit dull. There were fresh mangos falling all round the place, some of them would have been nice
The rooms are effectively suites. They are beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Rooms overlooking the pool area are especially good. The food is excellent.
The “city view” suites are a misnomer. Those on the ground floor actually just look out onto a side street and are dark all day, so that you have to have the lights on.
La Alondra is based around an old town house close to the City centre yet quiet and restful; it's quirky, with photos of the old family on the walls, with a very personal service. It offers a set of rooms clustered around a small swimming pool and also some further rooms round the corner. Mine was well appointed with comfortable bed, clean and smart bathroom but a little dark as it was quite deep with only a small window. Fine for a night but would not have been very bright during the day. There is also a small gym and a comfortable lounge. Dinner was good in a smart bar/restaurant with lots of local produce and wines (as well as my favourite Argentinian appetiser, the rarely available Hesperidina). There is a massive garage. The hotel abuts an attractive residential district and is some 15 minutes walk to the beach and the City centre. Definitely recommended.
A stay at La Alondra Casa De Huéspedes places you in the heart of Corrientes, within a 5-minute drive of University of Cuenca del Plata and Costanera de Corrientes. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
