10,0 Excellent
Pros: A very uniqe place with beautiful surounding! A huge room with style and character. Clean room and helpfull staff. Big and beautiful garden with a little river beside it. Great breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Characterful rural property with a beautiful garden. Room was cool and dark due to its position under a verandah. E xcellent breakfast. Friendly owner
Cons: Due to the age and nature of the property there was a musty smell. Very noisy creaking floor above us and plumbing above noisy too!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The Quinta was a pleasant place to stay, a comfortable room with traditional furniture and good bedlinen and a new bathroom, It has rather strange surroundings but an attractive garden with a good pool and a nice country view. The owners are friendly. Breakfast is standard fare. We found restaurant im Lousa 'To dos Frangos' to be extraordinarily good value, massive portions very cheaply, beware the is a Locals section which is fun and a normal restaurant. 'Vilha' not quite so cheap but the delicious pork shin could easily have fed three!
Cons: The disadvantages are that, after a long tiring journey it was very difficult to find using GPS and the nearest restaurants are over three miles away in Lousa. The hot water supply is temperamental despite the fact we were the only guests. Wifi coverage is poor.
7,5 Good
Pros: Very well decorated room.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff very helpful and respectful
Cons: The farm is very small and dos not have restaurant for diner or lunch.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Great room, silence, great garden en pool, very nice breakfast and tasteful dinners. Perfect place to come to rest.
Cons: I was travelling by public transport, than the location is a bit outside but still manageable if you use taxis. For 2 dinners, 1 lunchbox and 1 clothing washing I paid 60 euros what is a bit high to Portugese norms.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: This place is set in farmland on the outskirts of Lousa and has great rustic charm. It is a good base for exploring the local area and is a very comfortable, quiet and relaxing place to stay. This is probably mostly to do with the philosophy expressed by Filipe (the son of the owners who met us on arrival): 'when you come through our gates you are at home'. Guests are genuinely trusted and encouraged to treat the property as their home. All the rooms are decorated with an individual theme, are comfortable and immaculately clean. The grounds are lovely with lots of places to sit quietly or to socialise with others. The pool is good for a cool off after a long day. Breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty. We also had dinner on one of our nights stay, enjoying fresh local cuisine and the company of some fellow guests. Highly recommended.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet place, nice areas to relax and great breakfast.
Cons: Nothing at all

Pros: Our stay at the Quinta was a special treat for our last night in Portugal. I loved the setting, the woods on the property set the stage and we had a lovely walk there. The staff were all extremely gracious. A massage in the spa completed the experience.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the welcome were fantastic. Both swimming pools are great, the outdoors one is outstanding. Gardens around the property are beautiful for a walk. Food options inside the Quinta are good.
Cons: Spa rooms are a little outdated and need a renovation (A/C, bathroom...) Breakfast was ok but not superb.
7,0 Good
Pros: they have a few dining options, we went with the 'gourmet' meal, a multicourse deal with a good deal of molecular influence. Don't do it unless that's how you want to spend your entire evening. We started at 7:30, ended around 10:30. They also do a bbq, which I kind of wish is what we'd gone with. Be sure to get the 'tree' dessert, though, quite something. Thorough breakfast.
Cons: longer hours for the internal pools
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good and the staff are amazing
Cons: I was a little disappointed with the facilities at the SPA

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, attentive and professional.

9,5 Excellent
Pros: Grounds are amazing and history woven into the experience in a nice way. Great staff, great location although not any need to go elsewhere if you just want to kick back.
Cons: Food service was a little slow, although quality was very good.

Room service is poor, when I called asking for a bottle opener I was told I had to come to the bar to collect it myself as they did not have staff to bring it to my room. It was appauling.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, friendly staff lovely facilities
3,1 Mediocre
Pros: Staff was very nice. Food was good but it it hard to find bad portugueses food.
Cons: Garage is terrible, dark, unsafe and lacks ventilation. Had a CO alarm while there and it was scare. Very bad engineering. One needs to manouver on the top of the exit ramp to get out. Location is very bad on a really rundown area of the city. Quite depressing. Rooms had very ugly. Carpet is ugly, dated and filthy. One has tô wheat sandals. Dryer was bad. TV was really bad as far as image quality. Beds and pillows were really bad. All furniture was of bad quality. Internet was ridículos. Scratchy signal and when working (very seldon) was worse than the dial up of the old times. And staff had no idea or solution. Once they suggested me to walk around my room to improve the signal. I ha 2 iPads and 2 two iPhones and some times no one could get a signal. the sad part is that this one is supposed to be the best hotel in Coimbra. I guess I will never visit coimbra again.

4,3 Okay
Pros: Beautiful views in the garden, orange tree.
Cons: No staff seen throughout our stay, we checked in by finding our key in an envelope on the desk. The hostel was very eerie with a laundry room covered in graffiti, might be scary for solo travellers! Also very far from the town centre, 25mins from town centre up a hill, 40mins from train station.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Be prepared to get the full residence hall vibe! Entering the accommodation was pretty easy, just call the staff (phone number on the door) and they will open the door for you. Also you‘ll receive an email with alle the information about check-in, wifi, etc.. wich also means you can do the check-in at any time. The rooms are small and simple but clean and cozy, you‘ll find everything you need, even had my own bathroom en suite. I arrived with a car and was allowed to park it on the courtyard, wich is a big plus, but parking on the street around the hostel is also free. Location wise, you‘ll make your way to the university and the botanic gardens in just a few minutes by walking down the hill. Enjoyed staying there, would recommend especially for young backpackers/travelers.
Cons: The kitchen is used by a lot of people, mainly students, so don’t expect it to be as clean as your kitchen at home, but for preparing your breakfast it’s all fine As i said, there are a lot of young people/students living there, so be prepared to hear them talking and laughing till late at night

Pros: The staff was very helpful with checking in and out. The room was spacious and quiet. And old building but comfortable. The shower, toilets and kitchen were clean although they had to be shared among the visitors.
Cons: There weren't many visitors at the time. It took a while to walk from the CSI to the centre. I would have liked some more cafes in the neighbourhood.

3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: This property was difficult to find as the SatNav in my car didn’t recognise the address. Although it was on a cul-de-sac above the main dual carriageway, some people might be bothered by the noise from the main road. I was given a room in a wooden annexe across the drive so can’t comment on rooms in the main property. The shower unit in my bathroom was not clean and I felt I couldn’t use it. Even if I had wanted to use it I was unable to determine how to make it work. The breakfast offered was just about acceptable although the presentation could have been better. In fact, the whole place made me feel Alex Polizzi would have had her work cut out to declutter it and otherwise to help it to reach its potential.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom, various breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Big rooms plenty space, pool, jacuzi, staff all great. Great value for money.

Pros: Free luggage storage. Great location.

Pros: The staffs
Cons: Toelets was not so Clean
5,8 Okay
Pros: It was a really nice room with balcony and shower/WC. Eggs for breakfast were delicious and staff was really really nice and helpful. Also wifi connection was OK.
Cons: NOISE - I measured average 50dB on my sound meter at 23:30!! The room was located above the noisy restaurant which was a source of noise and smell from cigarettes. But much more serious source of noise in the night was some cleaner of street and children that occupied the room above our room and several more rooms in the hostel. Children regularly came in the late evening and jumped, run etc. in the whole hostel. It was unbelievable, ceiling and staircase shook as at earthquake... One night I asked them to be quiet - it helped but only for one night!!! It was horrible. They had longer stay there than me and I was there for 7 nights!! Moreover, every early morning at 6 AM the cleaner of the street started to clean with some kind of really noise blower. It was unbelievable, we couldn´t sleep in the early night because of restaurant and children and we couldn´t sleep in the early morning because of the cleaner. No more again - it was completely thrown out money, we didn´t have any rest on our vacation! BREAKFAST - was relatively OK, but coffee was not good (I had stomach cramps after it twice and then I stopped to drink it and bought my own coffee). And no black and green tea was available. Also, some fresh seasonal fruits were missing and breakfast was same for all 7 mornings. But we had no problem with it, we bought something different to eat and we were satisfied.
