Pros: We loved this hotel. It was value for money. Lovely large room. Shower was good. Heating excellent. Plenty of milk and coffee/tea supplies. Full length mirror in the wardrobe. Bed, bedding and pillows were fantastic. Staff on reception friendly and informative. We would definitely stay again and recommend. Has a great little kitchinette area.

Our room has a small back patio for some morning air. Great location, walking distance from the heart of town and close to the new hot strip on Victoria Street where we had dinner at the King of Snake (also recommend). The complex was quiet and even with the International Cricket Festivities we had a great nights sleep before our long flight home. We asked for a late check out and even though there were fully booked they were able to accommodate. For what we needed which was not a lot, this was the perfect spot.

The in room dining was very convenient - quick and tasty food. I recommend the pork sliders! Good sized shower in the bathroom. Room and bathroom were nice and clean. We paid extra for valet car parking service which was great as we didn't need to worry about finding a spot for our car. I thought the price per night was reasonable considering you are staying right in the hub of the south islands biggest city. Within walking distance to everything you need. If we are ever back in Christchurch we'll definitely stay at this hotel again.

Cons: Some of the t.v channels had poor reception and the volume button didn't seem to work too well. My pillows were both a bit flat and soft. I tried sleeping on 2 together but that was uncomfortable too. Could hear a bit of noise from the apartments above.

Pros: First visit to Christchurch in 25 years and this was a good place to stay. Right beside the (damaged) Christ Church Cathederal. Close to everything. Achieve orientation and then walking around is easy. Google Maps will get you lost as the GPS location finder is not working accurately. Apartments are clean, well fitted for short stays, well serviced, and the booking / admin people were super friendly and helpful. Especially as when we departed at 0500 for the airport and immediately realised we had left valuable items in a drawer. After hours security validated us and let us back in for retrieval. Very grateful. A most enjoyable week.

Cons: Nothing to dislike about the property. Noisy nighttime rubbish collection and street cleaning, but that’s the same in every inner city hotel in the world. Noise was only for a short time anyway.

For the staff when two guys arrive in 2019, you should not just state oh you’ll need two beds initially, perhaps rephrased Insee you have booked a king bed is this correct?

Power point to hair dryer cracked. Phone not fitted properly to wall. There was a safe there but not fitted so pretty useless if you really wanted to steal the whole thing. Cleaning was fair.

The dishwasher wasn’t working, the jug wasn’t working, the shower leaked in 2 spots, there was soap in the shower with hair on it from previous customers, the towels were tattered at the ends, the couch needed a good clean and the table and chairs were old and extremely worn.

Pros: I have stayed at the Azena before and will stay again when I next visit Christchurch. The location is perfect for the me, as my daughter lives in the area.
Cons: The only suggestion I have is to replace the hinges to the opening sashes within the ranch slider. This will help to cut down the road noise.

Cons: A frozen phone prevented me being able to check addresses and times for several PM appointments. I was early to the Towers to check in and accepted that but was told by the receptionist that she could only loan me a power outlet. My phone wasn't flat it was frozen. The only solution at the time was wifi which she refused me so I could open up my calendar on my tablet. I ended up finding a mall to get free wifi. She was less than helpful. Two plates in the unit had old food stuck on them and the only place to wash dishes was in the bathroom sink. I don't like the thought of doing dishes where I clean my teeth, etc. There was no microwave or any way of heating food. The toilet seat and top were badly scratched and would be almost impossible to keep properly clean. Blank walls, no artworks or photographs whatsoever.

And I paid online then had to pay $150 when I got there that was meant to be refunded when we checked out which didn’t do I ended up getting charged twice and when I went and questioned it after ringing twice and not getting any help I was told to go to my bank because it’s there problem. Extremely frustrating to have to do all this running around to get my money back that I shouldn’t of had to pay in the first place

Cons: The room was not the tower turret as shown shown in the room picture when making the booking, which we thought was quite deceiving, and one of the main reasons we booked ..so we were disappointed. The bathroom is dated and in need of renovation. The hot water pressure is non existent, with a sad dripply shower. The shower hose leaks as well which doesn't help. Towers on the Park ...call the plumber! ..and the refurbishers! We were right next to the interection so the room was noisy with the road traffic at night and early in the morning :( We could have stayed around the corner on Riccarton Road for $50 cheaper and probably had a better nights sleep ..oh well ..now we know for next time!

I know we got a good price for the night's accommodation, but it wasnt even worth that. The room (bathroom in particular) was no better than an aged motel room. The noise of party-going clients (in other rooms) returning to the motel kept us awake.

Cons: Maintenance needed done in the room all walls looked like they had been sanded ready for paint. A fair bit of work needed done eg walls in bathroom coming off. Noisy outside when bibs getting emptied at 4am. All drapes etc need replaced. But for the price the rooms were fine, very reasonable priced and no problem for one night. The rooms were nice and warm and lovely electric blankets on the beds
