Pros: Super convenient to the city without the hassle of driving through it. Easy parking, large rooms, comfortable beds, even a dining table which was super handy for doing extra work comfortably. Spotlessly clean all over, powerful shower and lovely bath products too. Staff are super friendly too.

Cons: Deck closed at 8pm with no way to enter the building. Night manager did not answer either the intercom or the number listed. Fortunately someone can back and let us in. After several minutes we found our room key information in a tray. Room had very poor ventilation. Stuffy and moist! Bathroom extraction fan did not seem to extract to outside. Furnishings only functional. Pretty sad.

I had two baggage and after check in , I had to exit the reception and entry through another doors and lift with strict access control and when I am on the floor , another two doors to open to reach my apartment. With luggage and tiredness, it was a tough task for me walk and scan my card to get entry

Cons: Laundry dryer not working properlly, took over 2 hours to dry a load of clothes. Rather be out enjoying in Christchurch. Staff was very kind and offer to watch clothing. But staff was also busy checking in and out other clients.

Cons: A proper hotel ran by a team that knows how to run a proper hotel. Superb location right across the park, a lovely 20/25 min stroll into the city or free hotelini bus. Staff were simy excellent from front desk, through restaurant and cleaners, could not fault thsm even given the trying circumstances. Thoroughly recommended

Pros: I enjoyed my stay as it could not be any more central and it was clean and pleasant. It is probably one of the bigger hotels in Christchurch, but it still feels very personal. Staff recognized me, even after the second day, both at reception and at the restaurant. They were polite, friendly and helpful. I had a great view over the city centre from my room. The room was clean, efficient and had a pleasant atmosphere, although rather anonymous. The bath room with rain shower was nice, clean and had all the amenities needed, incl bathrobes. Small pleasant touch for coffee drinkers like me: the room had a small coffee plunger with complimentary coffee.

Cons: Parking is a little complicated: either valet parking at a fairly high price, or paid public parking just around the corner. However public parking can only be paid in advance for 12 hours max, only with a card, but can be extended after the parking time has passed. The breakfast buffet costed extra with my booking and not really good value for money. I got the feeling that the hotel hosts lots of big tour groups, so be prepared for a very full reception area some times.

The empty lots are temporary car parks and many of the new developments are yet to be occupied. We stayed in the city Friday night through to Sunday morning and it was strangely quiet. We had arrived from the west coast and were expecting the hustle and bustle of city life; there was more buzz in Franz Josef!

Cons: I didn't like that the credit card used to book was debited before I even arrived when their website promised the payment would be taken on arrival. I wished to pay through my business account and this was made quite clear to them. The room was superficially clean, but pelmets and ledges were dirty, which is unacceptable in these times. We had to go to reception to ask for cutlery, one fork and one spoon is also unacceptable. The shower head was loose, unbeknown to us, and sprayed the entire bathroom over the top of the shower when it was turned on. There was dirt and rubbish under the bathroom sink from previous occupants and also under the bed. There was no milk or any alternative provided, we shouldn't have to walk to find somewhere open to get milk for coffee. There didn't seem to be any way to turn off subtitles on the TV, very frustrating when we speak perfect English. There was only one hand towel, should have been two. The WiFi connection was terrible and I spent more time on my data than on WiFi. Also unacceptable in this day and age.

Cons: I left two items of clothing there, the hotel kept them for me but didn't call me to let me know even though they had my contact details. I realized a week later and went in myself.
