Amazing location. The historic nature of the property and its beautiful refurbishment make it unique not only to Chicago but anywhere in the world. It must be seen - even for a drink downstairs or on the roof.
The floor layouts make you feel like you are in a different era (not in a good way) and some of the choices in the rooms are a little too on-theme that make it feel tired. The hotel is a better place to grab a drink and/or dinner then spend the night.
All food in Cherry was wonderful.
Beautiful building with a rich history, close to everything and perfect site for a wedding! Everything from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding and reception were held right on site.
My check-in experience was a little rough, But I spoke to customer service and they quickly addressed my concerns!
Everything was great, the small details in everything, the games/bar room was so much fun, Cindy's rooftop with the best view for afternoon/evening drinks. Comfortable beds, the neighborhood is perfect with restaurants/parks all in walking distance.
Loved the theme and the facilities. I have stayed a a lot of hotels and I made more use of the facilities here than at any hotel I have stayed at.
The only thing I did not like was the water pressure for the shower. It was to low and slow to come up to heat.
For more than 100 years, Chicago Athletic Association has offered elegant lodgings in the heart of Chicago’s Millennium Park. Having once been the playground for the rich and famous, the hotel is now a favorite for singles, couples, groups, and families.
Chicago Athletic Association is located in the heart of downtown Chicago. It's mere steps away from Millennium Park and its sights, including Harris Theater for Music and Dance, Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, and Crown Fountain.
