The location was perfect, it was close to other restaurants. Breakfast and dinner were excellent.
We did not have anything negative to say about this location.
The location off the beaten path. It did not feel like a very safe area. The hotel seemed old and dated.
We arrived after nine hours of traveling all day and it was next to a diner there was no front office and the sign on the door said to register at the diner a motel worker proceeded to come out saying that no manager was available to notify him that no housekeeping had shown up that day and so she was not able to accept any guests for the night -she then proceeded to leave the office completely on occupied with us standing there and go to the diner and sit on their steps and smoke cigarettes. we had to scramble with booking.com to find another room which ended up being across town find another place to stay if you book this place-
Unable to sleep due to stairwell door being slammed all night long. There is no way anyone could expect to rest or sleep under these conditions. Entrance door was also the employee smoking area and very nasty smelling including up the staircase. No elevator to go to 2nd floor. No desk or employees in motel. Had to check in at diner next door and wanted to check in early around 1:30 and employee told me she should have told me no rooms and come back at 4. I will NEVER stay at any properties of Travelodge ever again! We would have had a better rest sleeping in our vehicle last night. Totally wasted our money staying here!!!
The beds were very comfortable. They used two top sheets with the blanket between them which gave me a cleaner feeling than most of my stays in a motel. The shower had great hot water and water pressure, and the towels were nice and fluffy and smelled wonderful. There is an exhaust fan in the bathroom which most hotels seem to be neglecting lately.
The outside of the facility could use some updating. The location is okay off on a side street easily accessible to the main road to access other parts of Cheyenne quickly. We were very disappointed in the diner. Looking at the staff handling things with ungloved, unclean hands we did not even want to try the coffee. In all my years of staying in hotels, I am accustomed to the beds being made daily, and the trash being emptied daily. Also, dirty towels are removed from the bathroom and clean towels are replaced. We came in on a Sunday evening. When we came back to the hotel after sightseeing Monday evening, our room had not been touched. There was a young woman cleaning in the hallway. I asked her if she would be tidying up our room. She stated that unless we asked at the front desk at checkin they do not clean the rooms until check out. She said however that she would tell the day staff to clean the room on Tuesday morning. Again, we went sightseeing in Cheyenne all day Tuesday. Upon returning, again the beds were not made no trash emptied and no towels picked up. The room had not been touched by cleaning staff. Wednesday morning at checkout I mentioned it to the woman checking us out and she stated that they only clean every other day. In my calculation I do really think that would have been Tuesday. This must be their local policy, because I don't think that this would be Wyndhams policy. We are not slobs asking to be cleaned up after. Part of being on vacation and paying for a room is having someone make my bed and provide clean towels.
